We loved this hotel so much, we extended our stay by an additional night. Its only a short walk from the main village and all the attractions of Zermatt. The hotel offer a free shuttle from/to the train station which is extremely handy if you have large suitcases! The facilites were excellent. The breakfast is amazing, so nice to have healthy options available. We ended up dining in both nights, taking advantage of the hotels discounted 5 course meal. All dishes were incredibly tasty, very flavoursome! I highly recommend staying here if visiting Zermatt, and hope that we can one day return!

Rooms were a little too hot but air con controlled by the tv helped. Single room shower was very moveable with being so small. Breakfast wasn’t fantastic considering it’s a 4 star hotel

All in all, a great hotel. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and it was very good. Breakfast was also excellent with a lot of choice. The room decor was fun and comfortable and the hotel staff was friendly and had even prepared a dog bed and bowls for our dog. The location is convenient if you want to go up the mountain to hike. The sauna and pools can also be recommended, we took advantage of them frequently during our stay.

The hotel is right at the stream, which is very noisy. However, the window insulation is great, so you barely, if at all, hear it. Otherwise, there is not really anything to criticize. We had a pleasant stay.

One of our favorite places we have ever stayed!! The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was amazing, and the amenities were top notch. We ate at the hotel multiple times not including the free breakfast and even spent one night in the cigar lounge (and I am not a big cigar smoker.) The atmosphere was perfect. The hotel is in an ideal part of town and it seems they thought of every little detail a person might need. One prime example is the heated rack in the bathroom to dry your bathing suits, towels, etc. Would highly recommend!!!

The bed and the bed sheets could be a little more comfortable. This would be our only small complaint we have but it seems these type sheets are used throughout Switzerland.

The hotel was amazing! we only stayed a weekend but loved the great breakfast and sauna facilities. the spread for breakfast was huge and varied. the room was very comfortable, ours even had a view of the Matterhorn so we saw it a bit when the clouds parted. the staff at the hotel were all very friendly too. I liked that the rooms and a backpack you could use for hiking. and the sauna of course was lovely and relaxing. the hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the main city street.

this isn’t necessarily a dislike but the hotel wasn’t on the Main Street and the saunas were all nude. both those things can be negatives for people but it was fine for us.

The room is spacious with good shower and balcony with view. Spa area is excellent and very clean offering drinks and snacks. Breakfast was good with a wide selection. Bar in the evening friendly.

As it is a spa area there should be a little more control over children, whilst the hotel rules say children must be accompanied this does not get checked and we had several under 12's alone bombing in the pool. Most days everyone left when they came in. So a member of staff should be able o ask guests to behave.

The views are fabulous! The breakfast was great. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. We got a great massage - very relaxing atmosphere. Loved how easy it was to store bags while we hiked and then get cleaned up the day we were leaving.

Could have been a little more communication on how to get to the hotel and shuttle upon arrival. We ended up walking to the hotel with our luggage. We did get a ride back though at end of our stay, which was great.

I loved the story and ethos of the hotel, the balance between modern convenience and traditional wood. Social areas were balanced by the calm of the pool. All staff were exceptionally polite and interested in your day. It felt as if the luxury was understated and the comfortable family feel took priority. I will return soon.

I cannot think of anything except that next time I will stay longer and ask for a higher room with a different view.

Check-in set the tone. Jenny checked us in and it truley was the start of a Check-in set the tone. I travel a lot for work and I don’t normally write reviews but this hotel really deserved the effort. We were a little concerned by the term ‘wellness/spa’ as historically we associate it with over inflated egos and bad manned guests. Jenny set the tone when she checked us in and it was truly was the start of a great experience. I’m always cautious of the photo’s of the fitness area’s I see on Booking.com because mostly they turn out to be superbly underwhelming in a tiny dull dank space with 2 or 3 poorly maintained pieces of equipment that you immediately realise are they just as a box ticking exercise. The fitness area was good, well worth bring your gear for. It’s an easy walk to the railway station and the town centre. The breakfast was very good, local meats and cheese and good hot food options including made to order foods. great experience.

The live music in the lounge can be heard in the restaurant, it’s not our kind of music so we choose to eat in town to avoid it. No big deal, didn't impact of stay at all but worth a mention.

We loved the wee extras such as coffee and cake in the lounge, the toblerone in the evening, and the extras provided in the room! The breakfast was amazing! Thank-you. There was everything, and it was all good quality. The spa was lovely! Just needed after hiking! The staff were lovely, especially the ladies at reception, who helped us far more that the tourist office!
