We loved our stay at Foresto. The room was large with a large bathroom, a nice outdoor area and is set in a lovely garden. The pool is great to cool down after a day exploring the historic Old Town. We stayed for 4 nights and breakfast was a buffet on 2 days and a set breakfast on 2 days. The owner, Sun, was very helpful and got us a tuk tuk to take us to Old Sukhothai and to the bus station when we were leaving. They offer a great laundry service. We did a day countryside bike tour with Sukhothai Bicycle Tours which I would totally recommend.

Everything was great.

The room was spacious, bed comfortable and clean. The room had a massive glass wall with views to the garden, which was nice too, but you also felt pretty “exposed” if you didn’t close tue curtains completely, which took away a lot of the natural light. Overall, it was decent for the price. The have a Tuk Tuk available on request which takes you wherever you need to go.

The water pressure was poor in the shower and despite the owner’s instructions, it was still bad water pressure. The breakfast was poor. There were no vegetarian options available. We grabbed a croissant from the freezer thinking it was included, but it wasn’t, so they asked us to pay for it, we agreed but asked for it warm. When it came back to us it was rock solid and tasted old, so we gave it back, and they didn’t charge us.

Everything was perfect - beautiful decor, clean, spacious, friendly, lovely pool, amazing food both for breakfast and in the a la carte restaurant. Good location in a quiet street but close to shops and restaurants. The manager goes out of his way to accommodate, with super fast communication, advice and service. The hotel also arranged a taxi to pick us up in Phitsanulok. This is one of the best places we have ever stayed in many years of travel, and is outstanding value.

The setting is absolutely fantastic situated in very chilled environment with gardens and lovely swimming pool. Room large with large double bed. Outside area to chill and buffet breakfast within the price. Guy on reception super helpful he got us a tuk-tuk ride to five sights outside the historical park fabulous and advised us on other places to go.

Nothin really apart from the TV was crap.

Warning: They have glass table tops in the room. 5 minutes after I arrived I leaned my hand on the edge of the table and the glass shattered. I did not get cut. This could be very dangerous for children in the room. I suggested that the glass not be replaced as it was not safety glass. The manager charged me 300 Baht for the replacement glass.

Nice large room with comfortable beds. Plenty of parking space for cars and the guesthouse is conveniently located near many shops.. Breakfast was good and value for money. I liked the fact that in the evening there were many roadside stalls nearby selling local food. We got to try the local food and it was a nice experience for us.

Pukij and his family have taken great care to create a very special guesthome. Room 11, one of three modern designs recently added to the slightly older 11 units, has been fitted out with interesting architectural features and some beautiful artefacts. The reception lounge doubles also as a breakfast room, where the first meal of the day is delicately set out on the island unit in the centre of the room. I have had both the buffet and the à la carte breakfast and both have been excellent. The swimming pool sits comfortably in an informal and rustic garden and was a delight in which to relax, although visitors must take care when walking bare-footed on the slippery tiled surround. Foresto is 430 kilometres from Bangkok and 430 kilometres from Chiang Mai. At this halfway point, therefore, it makes for the perfect intermediate stopover when travelling from city to city.

The rather weak flowrate of water at the shower doesn't do justice to the nicely fitted bathrooms. A stronger, more robust water pump would be an improvement.

Spacious and modern room. I enjoyed the lovely hotel garden setting, and breakfasts were good.

Little things like very thin room towels (one with a hole in it), the door key insert to turn the power back on in the room was very inconveniently located behind the TV which was difficult when returning to a dark room at night. The pool was nice, but so heavily chlorinated, it almost felt like it was burning. The location is fairly central, but there's not much around there - a bit of a drive to the old town where the historical park and other more touristy things are located.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They booked a bike tour of Sukhothai and a return car to the train station for us which were both good. Also enjoyed breakfasts and one lunch that we had at the hotel. Our room was very clean and comfortable. We also enjoyed the pool both days of our stay. The location was good since we were only doing one day at the temple sites and it is located between the train station and the temples. There were also restaurants close by. But, I probably would choose a hotel closer to the temples if visiting them for more than one day.

Spacious and very beautiful rooms. Lovely garden with nice pool. Very quiet location mid in the town. Friendly staff. Good vibe. Delicious breakfast, also with thai specialities.
