The Grosvenor Villa is a beautiful, historic place with plenty of charm. Richard, the host, was informative and accommodating. We stayed in a large room with a comfortable king bed. The host provided snacks, tea, and water in our room. We had to head downstairs to the bathroom, but we had it all to ourselves and it was spacious and clean with a tub and a walk-in shower. Richard shared interesting stories with us about the history of the house. The house is gated, but the surrounding area is safe. We took the bus into the town center but could have taken a scenic walk there as well. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding. Richard provided many options and even brought more food to us using a dumbwaiter. The food was not only plentiful, but delicious.

Grosvenor villa was just beautiful! What an entrance into the building. We were welcomed in by Richard and felt right at home. Richard was an amazing host. He was very friendly, witty, and entertaining. Richard was full of knowledge and suggested lots of things to do in and around Bath. The hotel was well located, just a lovely 20-minute walk along the canal into the city. Our room was perfect, with a very grand bed which was very comfortable and i had a great night sleep. The room was clean and had good amenities, including complimentary bottled spring water and wine. The bathroom was big and very clean. Breakfast was an experience, you are sat around a large table in a very grand dining room. We got the chance to meet and chat with interesting people from all over the world, and Richard was great morning entertainment. He put a huge smile on all our faces, which gave us a great start to the day. We were very happy with our stay at Grosvenor Villa and would highly recommend it, and we would definitely stay again!.

Continental breakfast was lots of fresh fruit, compote, yoghurt, porridge, toast etc and was delicious. The location was great for us. We could walk our dog off the lead along the tow path and into Bath. Lots of green spaces around to enjoy. A bus stop outside if you didn’t want to walk. Such an interesting property with lots of history. Great host, very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable room and loved the space in the private bathroom. We enjoyed eating at a local pub the Rose and Crown, also the Deli in Larkhill.
Can’t think of anything.

Good communication, friendly host in a beautiful and historic house. The room was full of character very comfortable and with a spectacular 4 poster bed! Bathroom compact but modern, clean and very functional. Good continental breakfast with fresh fruit salad, home made porridge, pastries and good coffee. Service and breakfast room were exceptional.
nothing, just would have liked more time to relax in the house. I was lucky with parking but that could be a challenge. Currently road works make access slightly harder (very minor point)

The whole property was beautiful from the garden area to the room. The owner is a wonderful man who is very knowledgeable about the area and told us all the history of the entrance to the property which was spectacular. It was our wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful clean , comfortable room with great views. The dining room was stunning and offered a wonderful continental breakfast. The room key allows you to get some discounts and free drinks at various local businesses which was an added bonus with the accommodation. We had a wonderful time and look forward to staying there again.

The villa is amazingly well-kept, clean and beautifully decorated! Richard was a wonderful host, he told us intriguing stories about the history of the villa and his recommendations around Bath were impeccable. He made us feel so welcome. The breakfast was delicious and perfect, nothing was missing. I especially loved the manual food elevator in the dining room! Our room had an amazing view of the valley and our four-poster bed was huge and super comfy. The bathroom was clean and modern, every detail was included from bathrobes to snacks.
Everything was excellent, there's nothing we did not like.

We loved our stay at Grosvenor Villa, what a place! If you want the traditional Bath experience then this place will be perfect for you. At the entrance you're met with a breathtaking staircase and the owner, who is very welcoming and chatty. We stayed in the middle bedroom, which had a fantastic bay window, a very comfortable four-poster bed, beautiful artwork and plenty of space. It's a very luxurious experience. Our bathroom was furnished nicely and the shower was immediately hot and had good pressure. We had breakfast in the dining room complete with homemade compote, fruits, pastries and hot drinks. We can't say enough about the quality of the building and it's interesting history, except that you should stay and discover it for yourself!
With our room, the bathroom was actually a separate room next door to the bedroom so it's not a typical en-suite. This didn't bother us at all, but is perhaps something that needs clarification.

Grosvenor Villa is a beautiful and impressive property, it's a great piece of history with great character - the alter in the hallway is amazing! Richard was very welcoming and helpful, providing advice and recommendations for dog friendly pubs and restaurants. The house was about a 20 minute walk from the centre of town, and as the town was extremely busy with the Christmas market, it worked well being a bit further out.
Nothing to do with the property, I didn't like all the rain! (So the heated floor in the bathroom was a god send for drying wet stuff out...)

Fantastic place. A lovely wow factor when you walk in. Richard was lovely, funny and very informative. We had our 2 dogs with us, and the garden was secure, and an oasis of calm. There are a few stairs, but it was worth it. The room was lovely, big, great facilities, clean and fresh. The breakfast room was, like the house, very grand. The breakfast was plentiful. There isn't a cooked breakfast, however what it provided is plentiful, and plenty of choice. The porridge was lovely. It is only a short bus ride into Bath, and the stop is right outside the door. You are even provided with umbrellas! It is a very pet friendly hotel.
Nothing!

Luxurious decor, clean and spacious bedroom and bathroom. The huge bed had the most comfortable mattress. Richard was a most entertaining and welcoming host for whom nothing was too much trouble. The Continental breakfast had every choice covered. The property is located a short bus ride from the city centre and is well-served by a reliable and cheap bus service. A fabulous visit.
Having to leave.
