Loved the time spent at 242. The owners were lovely. Breakfast was just perfect, loads on offer and great variety. Bed comfortable. The room was very clean, and restocked with tea and coffee daily. The hotel is a little off the beaten track away from the centre. But... The tram stop to everywhere, was right outside the hotel. This includes straight to and from Blackpool North Train station, piers, tower and pleasure beach. Parking available too. Bonus of being away from the centre was also the quiet nights. Lovely for families, like me and my 13 year old son. The road around the corner offered restaurants, take aways and food choices, and also a large Sainsbury's for any necessities. We had a few Chinese meals delivered to the hotel in the evening. The dining area was equipped with plates and cutlery for such instances. Beach literally over the road too. What's not to like?

Lovely little bed and breakfast, perfect for what I needed. We stayed in a family room with 3 adults and 2 children. Staff were exceptionally friendly, and rooms were clean and tidy. I enjoyed the location as it was easy to use the trams to get into the central blackpool area, but otherwise quiet during evenings/nights, perfect for what I wanted

Only suggestion I would make is a few extra hooks to hang towels up in the bathroom/rooms.

This property has to be the best we have booked in/outside Blackpool. From the minute we stepped through the door it was immaculate. The Jay running it could it have been more gracious or helpful. The rooms are like brand new, absolutely spotless as are the toilets. The choices for breakfast in the morning also was such a bonus. Fresh juice, cereal, coffee, tea, fully cooked breakfast- all delicious. We will definitely be booking here again in future, cannot recommend it enough. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Conveniently located across from tram stop. We were here for illumination visit and was ideal for walking the big illuminations as they’re basically straight across the road from here. Free parking on site. Hostess was exceptional and very accommodating, gave us plenty info on what was where in the hotel and was always on hand if we needed anything, offered use of a heater, iron etc, I can see nothing would be a bother to her, really felt at home here and will most certainly return. Check in and out was seamless. Booked the family room although we ended up not needing it, but was good to have the extra space. Room was immaculately clean as was the bedding, tastefully decorated, plenty hot water all day, loads of tea coffee milk etc, bed was a bit firm for my preference but still slept well regardless, was a nice quiet room at the rear of the building which was a welcome added bonus. Bathroom was also immaculate with no mould and place was squeaky clean and plenty toilet roll provided. Breakfast was lovely and I liked the entire set up, you’re allocated a table and told to help yourself to cereal/fruit/juice/yoghurt etc then coffee and cooked breakfast ordered and brought to your table. Nice change from usual hotel buffet style where you’re clambering over guests and caught in traffic jam at coffee machine 🙄, this worked really well for me and the hostess had it all in hand. 5 stars from me

There’s nothing I didn’t like but a few suggestions I’d add would be: 1) Bathroom blind would be nice as showering in dark makes you a bit self conscious with only frosted glass. Didn’t phase me but I can see how it might. 2) Maybe have a bin in bathroom, lazy guests may flush stuff they shouldn’t. 3) Extra pillows for when sitting up in bed etc 4) Bathroom lock. I can see the reasoning for not having one as usually it’s families occupying the room but there could be an embarrassing situation arise here and there when it’s friends sharing like us. The above are merely suggestions and none necessary, just minor changes that could add to an already great room in a great hotel.

The staff were fabulous! Sharon and Martyn were fantastically funny hosts, no request too small and super attentive! We had fantastic banter with them due to us supporting rival football teams #NFFC #DCFC The location was spot on, just outside a tram stop and it was away from the busy part of the strip so very little noise! Space to park outside. Felt 100% safe 😍 Breakfast was lovely, always full tummies when we left. They even did bacon for my sons pancakes 😊 Plenty of tea/coffee/milk in the room. Towels were big and fluffy. Bedding was soft and clean and the room was spotless! Free cake/cookies in the common room went down really well with the kids.

For me, my only complaint was the bed but that's purely because for me it was too hard and only 1 pillow. It certainly won't stop me from coming again, I'll just bring an extra pillow 😊 I have no doubt that if I'd have asked for extras, Sharon would've been happy to provide them, but I didn't and that's my fault.

I loved the freedom of the hotel. Staff were so friendly. Having just taken over the hotel you can tell they are working really hard to get it to a standard they are happy with. They take pride in what they are doing, and so they should. Homemade cookies on arrival. Looked after with everything. Breakfast was spot on! Tea n coffee in the room. Toiletries. Fresh towels. We will 100% be back. Can't wait to see how the place develops in the future. Totally exceeded my expectations. It is further away from the park but that didn't matter because the trams are regular, parking is good

Our headboard was dusty, and room a little cold through the night with no option to adjust heating within the rooms. Wallpaper is need replaced in room 1 as it peeling from the walls but given that the owner have only just taken over in September these are things I could totally over look. This wouldn't put me off staying here again. I WILL STILL BE RETURNING BECAUSE IT WAS AMAZING!

Greated with a smile, a chat, water, homemade cookies, clear instructions about how to get in and out, wifi address and password, contact phone number in case we needed help. Great breakfast cooked to order. I love this as it reduces waste. When leaving my granddaughter's 8 and 10, asked if they could go and the lady a cuddle and say goodbye.

Blank, it was what was advertised with a little bit extra, so no dislikes

Great location, perfect for jumping on the trams and seeing the attractions and the illuminations. The personal touch of freshly baked cookies was a nice one (very tasty)

Pillows quite hard, but the bed waa comfortable. Only the option of 1 pillow too, no spare ones. Be nice to have complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Shower didn't have the best pressure, but it was nice and hot!!

Everything was good and I was made to feel very welcome. The room was satisfactory but the bed was terrible. You could feel every spring in the mattress and it really hurt my back. The land lady who was very nice did say that all the rooms had been fitted with new mattresses except the room I was in and one other. There was only one other person in the hotel so I cannot understand why the lady put me in that room with an old mattress in the 1st place. Other than that, no problems. I'm still suffering with my back but it will get better with time..
