The location was perfect. Set in beautiful grounds surrounded by beautiful views of the sea. Nice to have a private, contained balcony with our room

Despite informing the hotel before arrival that we had a dog, nothing was in place on our arrival. Breakfast was also a bit of an issue as the breakfast staff had not been informed either. Visitors with dogs eat breakfast in a different area. Apparently this is a problem when booking through Booking.com as there is not an option to say you are taking a dog. It made us feel a bit uncomfortable & that we were causing problems for the staff; bearing in mind that we paid an extra £12.50 per night for our dog so we expected better.

We stayed in one of the apartments. It was modern, clean and bright. We liked the location and the pool. We have re booked but staying in the main hotel not the apartments this time. Bar staff were polite and chatty. Dog friendy 😊

Unfortunately the sauna was out of order. Also there were no options when we were booking that we could have a lot tub so I messaged the hotel. I didnt get a reply until a couple of hours before check in by which time it was too late for the hot tub to be filled and heated... This was disappointing but when we arrived we realised the hot tub had no privacy whats so ever. We really this that the hot tubs would benefit from a bit of privacy....

The food was excellent and justified its price. Portions were very generous to the extent that we couldn't manage much in the evening after a big lunch. The hotel allowed us to just have a starter, and cheese and biscuits, but again, one portion would have been enough for two. Sadly we didn't have time to even visit the indoor pool. We visited in winter. The patio must be great in the summer.

We booked a room with a sea view, paying extra. Whilst it's true you could see the sea from one window, the room was on the side of the hotel, more of a car park view. It wasn't "overlooking" the sea as we had imagined, but at least we could keep an eye on our car from the room!!.

The breakfast was excellent, lots of choice, tasty and hot meal. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and again the food was lovely and bar staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was what we booked and the view was as expected (requested a sea view)

Following a rather uncomfortable first night, bed a little small and mattress hard, we asked at reception if they might have another room with a larger bed we could transfer to. Having explained our problem, rather than get a response of 'Oh we are sorry to hear that' the receptionist promptly checked and confirmed they were fully booked, but did not ask us what the hotel may offer to help aid our second night (e.g. additional pillows, extra blankets maybe?) just merely confirmed no other rooms available. What happened to good customer service?

The location and building is stunning! The views were incredible. The rooms are small and a little dated, but you wouldn’t be spending much time sitting in there which all the facilities and town so close! It’s a downhill walk into Brixham 15 mins max and you can walk along the harbour which is beautiful. We took our dachshund with us and the staff popped some treats and poo bags in the room which was so sweet! We didn’t eat at the hotel or use the pool, but we came back from dinner and went to the bar, the cocktails were amazing and they have a pianist on a Saturday evening who was incredible. Highly recommend! A couple of different walks you could do from the hotel if you take your dog as well. We loved our stay and we’ll definitely return.

I recently stayed at the Berry Head Hotel Apartments with a hot tub and a sea view, and it was an absolutely incredible experience. Firstly, the location of the apartments was unbeatable. Situated on the stunning Berry Head Peninsula, we were treated to breathtaking views of the sea from our apartment. Watching the sunrise over the water from our hot tub was truly magical. The apartment itself was spacious, modern, and beautifully decorated. It had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay, including a fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable bed, and a luxurious bathroom. The highlight, of course, was the private hot tub on the balcony. It was the perfect place to unwind and soak in the stunning surroundings. Overall, I cannot recommend the Berry Head Hotel Apartments with a hot tub and sea view enough. It was a truly unforgettable experience that exceeded all of our expectations. Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat, this is the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate.

We should of asked to fill the hot tub before our arrival - we didn't realise we needed to do this

The location is stunning overlooking Torbay, the staff were very professional, friendly and efficient. The food in the restaurant was excellent, drinks were reasonably priced and the lounge had a very accomplished musician playing guitar and singing on the Friday night which really made our stay. The apartment we stayed in was superb, it was very nicely appointed, was extremely comfortable with a great view. We will be going back to this gem in the near future.

Our stay was a short one and we would have loved to have stayed for longer.

The hotel had lovely views all of the beautiful Brixham Bay and harbour . There is an access path to the coastline rocks , which was ideal for rookpooling and climbing over. The grounds had plenty of places to hide away and take in the peace also away from the husssle of the busy afternoon teas folks,which is very popular with visitors. The hotel was very clean , and comfortable with great facilities. I was able to book a slot in the indoor pool and sauna which was a great way to destress after a busy day. The room was fantastic on the second floor with another great view of all the passing fishing vessels coming and going. The double bed very cosy and a bath and shower which were lovely and hot with plenty of pressure. The stairs to the upper levels are creaky as you walk them , which just adds to the character of the building. The staff were very polite and helpful always having smiles on their faces that lifted you when they greet you. The staff in the breakfast area were also very polite and helpful and explained how the buffet breakfast works. The breakfast was great and a good choice was available , they will even go off menu for you and its cooked nice and fresh and delivered with a smile. I would recommend staying to anyone .

I cannot fault anything on my stay. I tried to think of a negative but was unable too.. I will definitely be booking and staying again.

Room had lovely side view of the sea, and everything that you need was available ie. towels, soap, coffee, bottle of water etc. Breakfast was outstanding, best I've ever experienced, huge amount of choice and excellent quality and service. The service throughout our stay from arrival to departure was first class. There were plenty of staff around ready to help you with anything, and always happy and smiling. Quick service on the bar etc. We ate in the Bistro both evenings and the food was absolutely amazing. Got talking to a few people and seems there are many locals who use the Hotel, which speaks volumes!

There are a few things that are easy fixes like a stain on the carpet in the room and the shower head just needs replacing as it is so clogged with scale it doesn't work properly. Just little things which would make it nicer. However this didn't spoil our stay.

The whole ambiance was very good, popular with none residential clients for lunch and evening meals. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis, the breakfast was self service buffet, both continental and full English available. The room was very clean, with complimentary refreshment tea coffee and biscuits. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom had small bottles of complimentary body wash, shampoo and conditioner. The hotel is in a fantastic location overlooking Tor Bay. Berry Head is a short walk away. I have asthma and managed the climb up the steep coastal path all beit slowly. In the opposite direction Brixham harbour is a 20 min walk away via road or past the lido.

The room was a little small, and extractor fans were noticeable especially early morning. This is however an extremely harsh criticism.
