Everything !! Wow !! Beautiful home from home feeling when arriving and meet our wonderful host who showed us around and onto our lovely room that had everything and more , ensuite , connecting balcony ,river and countryside views , huge comfortable room, spotless with everything we needed. Breakfast in morning absolutly plenty of delicious food to choose from and good old hearty full scottish breakfast to enjoy and get set for the day . We enjoyed a superb feast thank you. I will wholeheartedly recommend the riverside house and hosts to anyone thinking of visiting and enjoy a stay here as much as we did. Huge thanks to you once again and best wishes for the future.

We loved our stay here. Whats not to like? :-)) We liked everything and more About our stay here

The location was perfect, just a short walk from the town centre, with views of the river. The room was cosy, warm and spotless, we'll definitely be back in the future, it's an ideal stop off on the way up to the Highlands. The hosts, Brian & Val, are a lovely couple and couldn't do enough for us. Also the breakfast was amazing. Would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Just one thing would make it better for me, hand rails to hold on to in the shower as I'm no too good on my feet.

The property was exceptional all round, the owners, bedrooms, breakfast and views of the river. Callander town is a short walk to the high street and shops. There are some lovely dog walks along the river from the town too. Callander is close to other towns in the location such as Doune, Stirling Castle, Wallace Monument, Dunfermline Abbey. Loch Lomond through to Glen Coe and its views of mountains ,starring Ben Nevis is an amazing day trip, as is the Fife Coast, taking in Anstruthers,( Famous fish and chips ), then on to St Andrews. If you don`t want to drive, most of these can be booked as day coach trips, ( If you dont have dogs).

There was nothing to dislike.

The best stay we had on our holidays in Scotland. We stayed in the garden room which included a small kitchen and a nice bathroom with a spacious shower and a bath. It was very clean, had a comfy bed, nice furniture, good WIFI and a brilliant view to the garden and river. We also enjoyed the delicious homemade shortbread and the drinking water from Loch Katrine. The breakfast was delicious with a bright choice. We loved the haggis, black pudding, eggs, fresh fruit salad and the yummi home made baking. The hosts made us feel very welcome. My husband asked Brian where to buy a cigar. 2 minutes later he came around with one, he never smoked. It was a high quality one! Thank you, Valerie and Brian, for making our stay so wonderful. It was great talking to you and hard to leave. We're looking forward to our next stay with you. Hopefully soon! Best wishes

Only stayed 3 nights ;-)

Very close proximity to Callander Main Street & Tesco. Quick walk into town where you can have a walk around the shops and go for a nice meal and a drink and safely walk back. Very quiet and peaceful with a beautiful garden over looking the river. Breakfast was excellent, we chose a full cooked and a continental. Yoghurt would be better in individual pots. Great range of spreads and condiments. Loved the fresh rose in the bedroom. Friendly cheerful welcome and conversations with hosts.

Yoghurt be better in individual pots for freshness.

The location was perfect and within 5 min walk to center where you can dine and have entertainment at you're finger tips .the guest house was clean comfortable and peaceful as all rooms are at back of property next to river and nothing but calming sounds of water and wildlife , the hosts were very good and made us feel at home straight away , breakfast was incredible with so many different things to choose from , definitely going to stay again and perhaps take a swim in the river behind the house .

Nothing about riverside I didn't like .the location was good .

Our two week holiday in Scotland involved five B&Bs; all were good but this one was the best. If we were to stay in this area again we'd definitely try to get in here again. We were made very welcome by the hosts who were very keen to ensure visitors were comfortable and had all they needed. The room was excellent in size, had a comfortable large bed, good storage, excellent bathroom. the view from the room was really pleasant looking over the garden, a river and at the countryside beyond. The garden is available for the use of guests. The breakfast choice was really good , well cooked and the hosts were happy to adjust to suit various diets as requested. There was easy parking just off the road through Callendar. The location was an easy walk from the town which has a good range of shops and eateries etc. It is also handy for trips to Stirling, Falkirk Wheel, the Kelpies, Loch Lomond, several other lochs and for numerous walks either in/near Callendar or in the beautiful Trossachs countryside.

We could only stay 4 nights!

A wee gem! A short walk for the centre of Callander this stunning luxury bed & breakfast is managed by Brian & Val! It’s immaculately and tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean! The rooms offer stunning views over the river and are full of little extras…a fridge and wonderful homemade shortbread to name a couple! Brian & Val were so welcoming from the minute we arrived! The room was spacious and immaculately clean and the bed was extremely comfortable! The garden is lovely and access to the river and seating available! Bertie the dog entertained us while we sat in the sun! He is adorable! Breakfast was outstanding the selection of food and quality excellent! The best I’ve ever experienced! Well done Brian & Val you have a wonderful B&B can’t believe having visiting Callander for many years we have just discovered it we will definitely be back soon.

Nothing it was faultless

The B&B was easy to find and Beian so welcoming when we got there. We were given a tour of the facilities and shown our breakfast table which made a difference the next morning. The room was clean and nicely decorated, with a selection of teas and coffee plus a bottle of Loch Katrine water for drinking. There was little traffic noise as the room had a Juliet balcony overlooking the gardens, and the River Leny flowing past. This made for a peaceful, calm, and relaxing stay. A bit of balm for the soul. As vegans we were well fed at breakfast with full cooked breakfast and vegan spread for toast. Hosts, Brian and Valerie, were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. And got to have a Bertie (dog)cuddle as we were leaving.

When big lorries went by the house shook a bit. Got used to it and didnt bother us at all, but the first time was a wee bit disconcerting.

It was very clean and we had a lovely view of the river. We had the best breakfast cooked by Brian the host and Valerie could not be more helpful, she even booked us into the restaurant at our next destination. I forgot to mention the proper tea cups and the views from our from!

The stairs, we had two big suitcases as we’ve been travelling for 4 months, but that wasn’t the property’s fault
