Absolutely lovely hotel situated about a 10-15 walk from Cheltenham centre. The staff were charming, professional & helpful and the bedroom was great. Fantastic bedding (all duck down pillows & duvet) all very comfortable. Lovely toiletries in the bathroom, a good powerful shower and an amazing Dyson hairdryer (which incidentally I had never used before, but was very impressed by it). Breakfast was also very good and the cooked English breakfast was excellent. We will definitely return at some point - thank you!

Luca the hoste was friendly and welcoming from the minute we checked in. The room was outstanding and had everything we could possibly need including the largest bathroom we’ve ever had in a hotel…simply stunning. Our small dog was with us and was provided with a bed, treats, dog bowl and toys! We were all very well catered for. Breakfast was delicious with lots of choice… we can’t wait to return again!

Only small issue was lack of parking spaces available at the property although they do prewarn you about this

Fabulous breakfast, lovely staff and comfy room. Many many recommendations on food and drinks which was super helpful! I really liked that they gave us a welcome drink in the room and that there were many facilities in the room as well! Didn't get any comment however on our anniversary, which was a bit odd in my view.

It's not on the best side of Cheltenham city walk wise. It's not far out, but the walk is not a really scenic route I mean. The on site parking is instead not on the hotel premises but in the area surrounding the hotel. It's perfect for a one or two night stay to explore the Cotswolds!

We have stayed regularly at No 38. It really is a lovely comfortable, relaxed and friendly. A tranquil oasis.

There are little things that need a bit of attention - a missing hook in the bedroom with a hole left exposed, tea and cups not refreshed on second morning, sofas that are starting to look in need of a clean. Only small things and hopefully not a sign of complacency by this lovely place. It does feel a little different since the change of ownership. Communication between Booking.com and the venue not great. I did the online check in as requested by Booking.com yet the venue had no record of this. Not great as we were asking for a couple of specific things.

We loved this hotel. The home from home feel, beautiful decor, the amazing staff who were so friendly and helpful. We were having our car serviced (travelled a long distance for this) when the car wasn't ready on our leave day, they stored all our luggage which was considerable! We had a fabulous meal on the first night of our stay. Breakfasts also very good. We also enjoyed where it is situated. On our last day we spent some time in the park across the road, it was really lovely.

Very hot and being in a top floor bedroom was very hot. They did provide a very efficient Dyson fan which cooled it down a bit.

Fantastic atmosphere. Really loved the cosy lounge, both in decor and comfort. Room was spectacular. We'd booked an Excellent room and it really delivered. The bathtub was such a nice touch, the bed amazingly comfortable. It felt like a truly special experience.

It's hard to find the concierge on entering the hotel and some signage/way of contacting him would help minimise this. This was also the case at breakfast. The tea/coffee station in the room would benefit from a small bin for discarded teabags, sugar sachets etc.

Lovely rooms, great to have snacks on arrival, Meghan made the check in very welcoming and enjoyable. Bar is cosy and the lounge area was super comfy. Super clean Thankyou.

Only 2 little things, I thought the decor of the many fashion designer books were a bit naff . And the big cooked breakfast could do with being on a smaller plate- making it look more crowded. English breakfast is my favourite meal so I think I know what I’m talking about. Food was good.

Stylish, spacious, clean and welcoming. The building itself looks well cared for, and the decor inside and out felt very high end and well thought through. Staff very welcoming, and the room was lovely. Spacious, modern but comfortable. Loved the old bathroom vibe with character fixtures and fittings. Weighted curtains were a major plus to block out light, bed really comfortable. And a nice welcome note on the bed was a good touch.

Was rather warm in the room, even with windows cracked open (but heating wasn’t on, so could be because I was on the top floor?). Bedside lights flickered slightly now and then, and TV screen didn’t show any picture - just audio. I will point out I didn’t ask them to rectify this during my stay, as I’m sure they would have.

I got upgraded which i was not expecting and the room was amazing. Certainly exceeded expectations and the free standing bath was a brilliant touch. All the staff were great. A particular shout out to the receptionist who was incredibly professional, engaging and welcoming. Staff obviously should be pleasant and welcoming as that is their job but I felt she had a manner about her that felt incredibly genuine and much more personable than I'm used to which was a brilliant first impression of the place.

There were no cocktails on offer. Not a huge problem but if there was room for improvement or a suggestion, that would be it.

our room was no.7 the temperature in the room was excessive at all times. Although provided with a very good fan the lack of ventilation was a problem as the windows were nailed closed. I’m sure some sort of security locks could be fitted to allow airflow. This was the only down side to our stay with you.
