First thing we liked was the communication with the owners. I have booked the wrong room, and it was quickly replaced for a room where the dog is allowed. The room was clean, and easily accessible with the dog. There is a big park to walk the dog nearby which was very important for us. The breakfast was also very nice. There is also a big garden area with tables and chairs to eat outside as well.

The only thing I didn't like is that it was not clear when booking through booking site in which rooms the dogs are allowed. But this was well sorted by the owners.

The garden room (no 9) was very spacious with everything you need - tea, biscuits, fridge, toiletries, TV, hairdryer, sofa...really great. Comfy bed and no noise to disturb your sleep. There is a very lovely garden and a lounge area with games and honesty bar. Host is very friendly. Breakfast choice was amazing and great service. A really lovely one night stay and the dog felt very welcome even at breakfast. Thank you! Short walk into town for restaurants and pubs. We popped to the beach in the evening near the Lifeboat Inn (short 4 min drive).

The hot tap is very hot but that really is a small point!

Property was easy to find, well signposted and plenty of car parking. On arrival we were made to feel very welcome and everything including the wi-fi code was explained to us. We had booked a garden room which was spotless with comfy beds, tea/coffee making facilities, TV, hairdryer, and plenty of sockets. The bathroom was compact (as described on the website) but there were lovely soft towels and toiletries provided. The garden is very pretty with plenty of patio furniture available. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and beautifully cooked and presented. We were very happy with our stay.

The family room was a suite comprised of 2 bedrooms - one with a double bed and one with twin beds. Both rooms had clean and comfortable bed linen and the rooms itself were spacious, light and airy. The garden outside the rooms was beautifully kept and there were garden chairs and tables for our exclusive use in a sunny spot. Breakfast was delicious served in a lovely dining room, where we were given a nice table by the window. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is on our list of the nicest holiday accommodation we've stayed in and we totally recommend the place.

We travelled there by car, over the Platinum Jubilee long weekend. The location was very convenient, as it gave us the chance to explore various highlights of the South Downs National Park. The room was very beautiful and cozy with a garden view, and very well equipped for any necessities. Each morning we enjoyed a tasty and rich breakfast in the beautiful dining room, surrounded by flowers and green. Damon and the staff were very welcoming and available for any need. We would definitely suggest the Coast Yard for a romantic getaway.

Loved our stay at The Coast Yard, we had a really warm welcome from Grant the Manager, he looked after us so well throughout our stay. The breakfast was well organised with lots on offer, cereal, fresh fruit, juices, amazing yoghurts followed with cooked breakfasts, really good value. The large room was lovely, clean, comfortable and warm, and a nice shower. Tea, Coffee, biscuits and chocolate, bottle of water and a fridge, everything was thought of. There is a beautiful garden as well and plenty of room to park. Will absolutely stay again when in Selsey. Thank you Grant for making us feel at home and Buddy too.

The breakfast room was very nice you had your own table, you helped yourself to cereal's the fruit plater fresh yogurt's and fruit. the cooked breakfast was very nice except the bacon was over cooked, so i did not order it the next day but that happens in a lot of B & B's and hotels. Another good idea that we liked if you wanted to bring in take way food, or anything to eat in the evening, you could sit in the breakfast room and eat plates and cutlery are provided, we had this at another B & B in Southwold Suffolk

Felt that the room was very nicely laid out and a good size. The room was serviced discretely whilst we were at breakfast. Particularly enjoyed our breackfasts, with some nice touches. Enjoyed chatting to our host. Choice of places to eat in the evening within easy walking distance. Electric blanket was a touch that one of us particularly enjoyed.

Our stay was too short. Beyond that it would be hard to find fault with anything

The hosts are lovely. The rooms are exceptionally clean. We stayed in one of the garden rooms which was lovely and peaceful. TV reception was patchy but not too much of a big deal. Room has everything you need, water, tea, coffee, biscuits. Toiletries in the bathroom including flannels, shower cap. Overall very well thought out. Breakfast is AMAZING, with lots of choice and again a lot of thought has gone into it. We loved it.

Can’t think of anything

Greeting of guests, the variety at Breakfast and refill of refreshments; could bring takeaway meals to eat in the dining room if wished. I would rebook this property again for my next visit to this area.

Closeness of radiator to the actual toilet, it burnt my leg slightly. For well developed persons the Shower could have more room inside it was very tight to turn around with door folding inwards and soap etc shelving in corner but wrong corner . However this and another room are being revamped in 2024 apparently with wet rooms which would end the difficulties.
