It was in the middle of the island

Turned up checked in attended the property dirty previous washing outside, spoke with staff, went out in the evening came back ours was gone but everyone else’s was still there after 9pm, it looked poorly managed, bar was open, service slow and having to repeat orders several times and if your not ordering then listening to bar staff moan they can’t close early and moaning as they don’t get paid to stay open or muttering when are people leaving, I get it’s the end of season but still and for bar facilities being told we close if quiet - literally good people watching but service skills are poor !! Wouldn’t return again and caravan was ok, beds uncomfortable ended up sleeping on couch cushions on lounge floor - glad to go home !!

The location was beautiful and the caravan itself was a good size and comfortable. The Christmas Market was also a nice added extra while we were there. The food at the restaurant was also very nice.

The only issue was having to pay for towels as an extra and some basic essentials like soap in the bathroom were not provided. This would have been fine if we knew in advance but it was not made clear when booking.

Large, spacious 4 berth superior caravan, cleaned beautifully for arrival. Tea towel and washing up kit/bin bags left for us. Beds were extremely comfortable and bed linen crisp and clean. Ample kitchen space with necessary items in cupboards: saucepans, frying pan, cheese grater, casserole dishes, plates, glasses and cups. Plenty of cutlery and cooking utensils in drawer. Good tv and the heating was really effective (we put it on during cold spell mid-July). Shower worked fine and had loads of hot water. Everything very clean in bathrooms. I'm allergic to animals and had a normal caravan and had no issues with allergies. Definitely no animal hair anywhere. Parking outside caravan. Park was very quiet and clean and no rats in the mobile home! Staff very courteous. Altogether a brilliant stay and we will definitely go back and would recommend this site to anyone. It was VERY good value for money. No entertainment on when we were there but this is clearly stated on the holiday park website as it starts later in the year. Take your own towels and travel iron as these aren't supplied (again this is stated on the website). The location is lovely, quiet rural area within easy reach of most places. Well stocked Coop just outside entrance of park and bus stop there with buses regularly going along coast to Ryde, stopping off in coastal major towns. Or you can get to Newport and get other tour buses from there.

Sofa did have a bit of discolouration but it was a family/pet friendly caravan so that 's understandable. It definitely wasnt badly stained or soiled. Otherwise very happy with everything in the caravan.

The caravan no 151 was immaculate, the position of the accommodation was fab eg towels bedding all spotless clean , probably the best self catering unit we've ever stayed in for interior cleanliness., our very own lawns and veranda all very well laid out ., although there is a BIG problem with vermin running riot ( Rats ) to be expected as it is a lakeside location but we're in modern times and iam sure pest control is applicable. , they didn't enter the property but we was well aware of their presence , scurrying around whilst we was eating outdoors on the veranda The whole holiday village is lovely in general , but the staff just don't appear to be happy in their job , or maybe they were all having an off day on the same day ! If you didn't know any better you would think you was entering an under takers , but that aside we had Nice 3day break with gorgeous weather was a bonus .

The check in is far too late (4pm) especially during red hot weather , after travelling 6hours through the night , a little touch of hospitality would be more welcoming, but not even an offer of cold drinking water upon arrival . Staff just don't seem to have that personal customer service touch at all . A lot of waiting around to be eventually served at the bar after members staff drift past without any acknowledgement.. Started think if the rats took over the bar service we would have been received a warmer welcome .

Quiet location.

No shop on site, Luxury Caravan..more like economy. Beds were very uncomfortable, convinced we have been bitten. Kitchen lacking utensils to be able to cook. Staff were waiting outside the caravan smoking vapes whilst we were trying to load the car and tutting, our check out time was 10am, this was at 9.30am

The caravan was beyond our expectations - all modern appliances, spacious, and a lovely decking area The view was beautiful. and as the name suggests, there was a lovely lake on site The site was very clean with plenty of recycling and rubbish bins

Whilst we fully appreciated it was out of season, there were very few staff on in the Reception area. Several times we tried to book the swimming pool (it was only open certain days and hours due to the off season), but could not find anyone other than bar staff (who were unable to help)

The staff and the site where amazing everyone on the site we're very humble, I can not say a bad word about the site already looking forward to already booking next year away, the site size was well.spaced there were lovely facilities and also was amazing if your self catering like we were had everything you could need to do so. The site itself is situated in a brilliant location, meaning getting to where you need to be is no more than 30 minutes left and right out of the site. I would recommend the lakes to anyone wanting a break away as it is truly a beautiful place to stay would be back in a heartbeat.

The only issue I had that was addressed quite quickly was that the microwave had a food left in from the previous tenant. The only thing I would day on the booking.com advert is that pictures of the site show caravans with hottubs and parking spaces but this is only on certain areas of the site I believe this should e made a little clearer that's my only fault I could find.

Children enjoyed the pool and the pool tables!

It was time wasting trying to find the price/cost of the washing machine and driers. We went to and from reception as they said it was on the machine but it was only tiny numbers in amongst a lot of info on the machine and the £ sign had been rubbed off over time. We said that a a simple poster on the wall would save people hunting to find out what the cost was. We think that any new visitor would be frustrated, looking around the laundry room to see where the cost for the washing machine/dryer was advertised. Easily rectifiable though :)

Location is perfect to travel in all directions. It was nice and affordable. Overall nice and cosy place to stay. Apart from the bathroom issue, it was still a lovely place. Dishwasher, washing machine, etc, all available to use. Generally clean. Quiet and peaceful area. Would definitely book again, but probably a cottage instead.

I would have liked the floor to be dusted a bit more underneath the tv and bed. Also our main bedroom bathroom had a bad gutter smell so we used the kids' room bathroom instead. We did ask for it to be checked, and someone sprayed air freshener until we explained the smell and actual issue. We were told maintenance will have to come sort it, but no one did, so we just carried on.

The accommodation was maintained to a high standard. The entire building was very warm. It had a washing machine and a dishwasher in the kitchen. The area was very peaceful and family friendly. The shower was spacious. The welcome box in the kitchen with cleaning things to get you started with cleaning up was a treat. The cooking utensil were suitable for the purpose. The appliances in the kitchen were quality and easy to use. The parking was good enough, space for 1 car directly out front. Security on site and on call. I appreciated the onsite commitment to recycling. The views were great by the lake. The chalets are perfect. The static caravans are set at the top of the hill so there may be more views if that is your thing. Venue has a Costcutter outside across the road which is well stocked. It is not far from Newport which has all the shops. Your retail and leisure therapy needs can be met within 20 minutes drive away. Buses run regularly to other places of interest.

I did not think there would not be an ironing board. It would have been helpful to have one if not to include an iron.
