The BnB has been very well cared for and updated recently. Our room was spacious and freshly decorated with new fittings and furniture. The ensuite bathroom is 'snug' or 'compact' but very recently refurbished with an excellent electric shower and luxury towels. The bed was to our taste and we found it to be very comfortable with a choice of soft or firm pillows. The room was spotless and clean. A tray of hot beverages (well thought out) and kettle was available along with a welcome homemade cake! Breakfast was excellent with a choice of hot and continental options. We opted for a 'full English' which was delicious as we think Luke uses local produce. Chris was a font of knowledge and was able to recommend dinner options as well as places to visit. We will with out doubt return to No29 when we visit the IOW in future.

The only real negative in our opinion is parking. Being situated in a residential area and not having any off street parking can prove to be a bit of a game of chance, sometimes it is possible to park near and on other occasions it is not possible. Originally we planned to travel by motorcycle however the weather for the period of time we visited the island was wet and windy most of the time so we chose to use the car. Chris did say in our pre-comms that we could have parked the bike on the hard standing by the front bay window should we have travelled on it, which would have been good.

Chris and luke were very welcoming. Chris couldnt do enough for us. She even booked the ferry for us. Felt like home from home. The breakfast was exceptional. The room we stayed in had everything you needed. Milk and water were supplied. Lots of tea, coffee and other choices, which was topped up every day. Brownies when we got there, which were very tasty. Very clean room and bed was lovely and comfortable.

There was nothing we didn't like.

This place is an absolute gem. We stayed for four nights in a room that was impeccably designed and maintained, with turndown service every day and little touches such as fresh milk in the fridge for coffee, as well as homemade cake on arrival. Breakfast was delicious, cooked to order by Luke, with many different options. Chris and Luke are amazing people- kind, thoughtful, and always considerate. I really cannot rate their B n B highly enough. I am not surprised at all that they book up quickly.

Nothing could have been better. Absolutely everything was perfect.

– Great location near restaurants etc. – My room (room 1) was large and had a modern bathroom – Breakfast was a nice, home-made fry-up with vegetarian options – The owners were very pleasant and helpful

– I'm not sure whether they already have one, but if not, it might be helpful to have some sort of keycode lockbox outside the front door so that the keys can be left for guests arriving late, thereby avoiding inconvenience for the owners. My ferry was delayed so the owner kindly waited for me (it was only something like 8.30pm), but if I had been arriving very late (e.g. midnight), I would have felt bad for them. With some sort of lockbox they could leave the keys in that and email the code to the guest.

Our stay with Chris and Luke was excellent and special. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious with varied options with fresh fruit, yogurt, cereals as well as a variety of hot options - the omelettes were my favourite. The home was spotless and Chris kept our room clean and well provisioned. Chis is a great host, very cheerful and very helpful. Should we have another opportunity to travel to the Isle of Wight, we will definitely book with Number 29 before all others. The location was also very central and an easy walk to town and the beach.

Number 29 was like a home from home. very clean and well equipped. Christine is a fabulous lady, very welcoming and friendly. We were visiting for the Isle of Wight Festival and Christine was kind enough to offer later breakfast times to let us have a bit of a lay in. Breakfasts were delicious, all cooked perfectly by Luke, Christine’s son. A highly recommended B&B

Position close to train station(5 mins walj) & little further to town & beachfront. Breakfast hot plentiful & delicious.Room spacious,comfy,homemade cake fresh milk & water in fridge too.Friendly owner with helpful hints and recommendations for our visit. Top marks for ho.emade bread for toast and homegrown tomatoes!

Coming home

I booked this stay for my Nan & Grandad. Everything from the arrival and greetings, the flexibility, cleanliness, the short distance from beach, my Nan & Grandad in their mid 80's absolutely loved it, no complaints at all and would highly recommend to anyone.

Wonderful place to stay. Friendly welcome . Amazing breakfast. Love the homemade bread. It was the small details like the homemade cake on arrival in the room and a bottle of proper milk provided to make tea in the room rather than UHT. Very clean and comfortable. Just want you need on a break away. Would definitely stay again.

Breakfast was fantastic, (loads of choice, very tasty, perfectly cooked), the host was pleasant, friendly and helpful , the location was pretty good (very close to the station, just a short walk from anywhere).

Parking was sometimes a bit tight, amd couldn't always get by the property (but no real problem for me, and the area was good and safe).
