The Wight Mouse Inn is a hidden delight; the room was beautifully decorated and furnished, and I loved the cosy throws on the beds. We brought our well-behaved large dog with us, and the inn welcomed him as much as they did us! The beds and bedding were so cosy and comfortable, and the room was just the right temperature. Breakfast was fresh and tasty with plenty of choices for all taste buds, we had a lovely time and will visit again. We ate downstairs in the evening the food was delicious and fresh, would highly recommend having an evening meal there. The staff were all warm and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Parking is free and available at the Inn carpark and Military road is literally round the corner for a lovely scenic coastal drive.
Not a thing; we are looking forward to staying again!

Bike storage was great with hike racks installed Staff went above and beyond and drove us to get some toothpaste when we realised we forgot it! Rooms nice and clean Great food for dinner and breakfast Location ideal for riding into and also going for a lovely coastal or hilly/forest walk Great beer garden, a shame it was water logged but never mind!
Walls of the rooms were a little thin and could hear people in rooms next door and music from bar downstairs until 11ish (great tunes though!) The bath ran cold which was a shame, but the shower (electric) was nice and warm.

Everything was faultless - the staff, the food, the room, very quiet and relaxing; all brilliant value for money and perfect for a 1 night stay after the festival! Nothing was too much trouble, we’d definitely recommend and return. The food was especially worth nothing here, excellent service and choices from evening meal through to breakfast etc. the beer garden out the back has the most amazing views.
The bathroom could do with updating, shower especially. The blind was broken in the bathroom too but didn’t affect our stay.

The space throughout the Inn, including the gardens, was terrific. The rooms were exceptionally clean - and were kept that way throughout our four day stay. The views were magnificent and the setting, well off the main road was ideal. In particular, the staff were all so helpful without being "gushing". Nothing was too much trouble and they clearly worked so well together as a team. They exuded pride in their work and are a real asset to the smooth running of the whole establishment. Suffice to say that when I next visit the Island, The Wight Mouse Inn will feature highly in my choice of where to stay.
I would struggle to make any criticism - if I had to quibble, perhaps the menu could be a little more imaginative. The food was perfectly cooked but perhaps needed the addition of a couple of "different" options.

The location was great, close to a stunning coastal walk. The inn itself was lovely with super friendly staff and great atmosphere especially in the evenings when they have live music on. I must also mention how dog-friendly they are, our spaniel really appreciated the sausage he got every morning when we went down to have breakfast.
Somehow I expected a bigger room based on the pictures I saw on here, but I realise that photos can be misleading. The one-hour slot for breakfast felt quite rushed and the breakfast choices were a bit limited, especially when someone spends more than 2 nights there. The restaurant has great specials at lunchtime and dinner, so one would expect a bit more variety at breakfast too.

Good location, large room with a bit of a sea view, comfortable bed. Nice cooked breakfast and friendly staff. Comprehensive menu in evening although have to order via the bar. Food was fast, starter arrived almost before back from the bar! Large beer garden outside with play area and plenty of parking around the pub.
Needs to be a socket or extension lead the other side of bed to plug in phone for alarm also to use straighteners by the large mirror. Staff dealt quickly with some used towels accidentally left in the room. Had to wait quite a while for shower water to heat up, but it was hot after that. Maybe a sign could advise that.

Fabulous location and staff. Great menu. Great outdoor seated area with things for kids to do , a refreshments shed and even a doggy station for water and snacks. If they had loungers outside, I’d never leave . Indoors VERY dog friendly which is great. Food service quick and quality food. Extensive bar and tasted local Gin and Beers.
Would have been good to have a chair for the shower due to health issues but I didn’t request one. Just a suggestion and certainly not a criticism.

Staff were very friendly (and our Teddy Bears got well looked after by being provided with games during the day). Despite cold foggy weather, the building was warm and snug, but not excessively so. We were able to do most of the planning for the group camp we are organising for the summer.
I caught a bug at the end of the week, but I don't think it was anything from the White Mouse.

a really welcoming and friendly place to stay. The staff were lovely and made us and our two small dogs very welcome. This is a pub, or Inn so the usual things apply here. Food was good and despite it being mid winter the pub was buzzing with people and families. The staff were really great at suggesting which beach to go for a walk with the dogs too. Overall, it was a lovely place to stay and I'd go there again. I think it would be a stunning location on a sunny day.
I think breakfast could have been more of a local produce thing, but I'm being nitpicky. I would have paid extra if local jams were available and local breads etc. Also, not a fault of the Inn, but the online booking system via booking.com didn't have provision to specify which rooms were available for those with pets. After I had booked, someone there had to follow up with me and then move my room to another, thankfully they had another room available. If you are booking with pets I'd recommend giving them a call to make sure the room you're booking is pet friendly. 8 out of the 10 rooms ARE pet friendly, so there's only 2 that aren't but ya know, sods law dictates you'll book the wrong one.
