It was a nice property, great water views, charming building.

It was a bit on the small side, common for it’s time. I booked my room at 1am, when the cruise line decided to more forward with a previously canceled cruise. The price for the room was above average for a typical queen bed room. However, by the next morning, they had upped their prices by EIGHT TIMES my amount, and the other cruisers were having to pay an obscene amount of money to book the same room. This is very tasteless to me, to take advantage of such a horrible situation. But, they weren’t the only ones in town to do it.

Great room. Great location. Nicely appointed room always buzzing facilities were great. Parking was taken care of with a permit for the rear of the hotel

Would have been nice not to have a room next to the refurbishment next door or to be told about it. As we were sitting out on the balcony we were showered with saw dust. But work was limited to 8 am to 4.30pm. Dinner kept missing items not in stock. ( gnocchi with Ragu and Parmigiano with no cheese or pancakes with bananas with no bananas). Only told as it is served with a substitute. But overall the food was spot on quality wise and hot.

We stayed here as a stop before taking an early morning ferry across to calais. The location is superb, with great views of the harbour and only a five min drive down to the port. The hotel is clean and well decorated. The staff are very welcoming and polite. Parking is available across the road in the marine carpark and the hotel provides a permit, free of charge from the reception. There is also a spa located in the hotel, but I did not have time to experience it on this occassion, due to a short stay. My overall review 10/10 I would definately recommend this 4 star Hotel, if your needing an over night stay before an early morning departure. We stayed in a family room with a sea view, which had two doubles and a single bed. The beds are firm but comfy, with plenty of pillows. The room was spacious, clean and fresh. The T.V is a good size (compared to the majority of hotels I have stayed in) There's tea & Coffee facilities in the room. A choice of ambient lighting in the evenings to relax. The bathroom was immaculate, with great lighting/mirrors and lots of soap/shampoo/cream bottles. The large windows allow you to make the most of the views of Dover Harbour and the children loved watching the ferry's coming and going. There's a Marco pierre white, Mr whites English chophouse resturant situated in the hotel (open until 10pm) and also a wheelers fish & chips (Until 7pm). There's room srvise available too. And a bar located opposite the restaurant.

Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. I didn't use the facilities on offer, but there seemed to be many. The room was lovely and comfortable.

When I arrived, there were empty bottles in front of my door which obviously hadn't been pickedup when they prepared my room. I guess they were from the previous guests. Lots of room service in the corridor. I assumed it would be cleaned up in due time. Sadly, the bottles and (ever growing) room service trays were still there in the corridor when I checked out 20 hours later. It makes the hotel seem scruffy and, while I'm pretty laid back about such things, I'd expect a little more cleanliness from a hotel which charges £150+ per night. I told the girl on the front desk and she was very apologetic.

We had a very comfortable stay. Our room was very clean and quiet. The sea view was great. There was also an ironing set in the room.. we felt very grateful for that. The shower unit was very easy to use and we enjoyed having a shower. The breakfast was rich with options and everything was very tasty. We regretted we didn't have sports clothes with us to have a chance to try out the gym as well. Next time.. :)

We still wonder if the small grand piano in the dining area was playable or not. We were told they're going to ask about it, but they never got back to us. It would be wonderful if next time we visited, guests are allowed to play.. :)

I was surprised to see how low the hotel scored on booking.com. The room was very clean, brilliantly working AC, very comfy bed. The staff were always there and ready to help . The literally only and main let down, in my opinion, for the property is breakfast. Otherwise great location in Dover close to everything you need.

Breakfast. For the price paid for the room, the breakfast was very basic and not inspiring. Milk jugs were semi empty, and semi warm by the time I was eating it at 8:15 AM, cooled off by a semi warm ice pack behind. I was not expecting a 5 star dinning experience, but it just simply did not strike a great desire to eat. Coffee was good though. Room to improve maybe?

Not easily sign posted - drove round 4 times before finding the sign, seems more important to advertise Mr Pierre Whites Chop House. Barcode scanning for menus in room doesn’t work. Menus not available and states venue closed. Had to ask for menus at bar which was irritating after a long drive when room service would have been preferred. Staff on bar however, were friendly, helpful and extremely attentive. Parking was a pain, have to find hotel and go in before getting a permit for car park.

He quickly checked me in and during night when i came down took the time to explain all of the amenities and features of the hotel to me. Throughout my stay, He was always available to answer any questions I had and to provide recommendations for things to do and see in the area. One of the things that stood out to me about Mayur was his behaviour towards me. He noticed the purpose of my trip without me even having to say it, and he made sure to provide me with all of the necessary information and accommodations to make my stay comfortable. Whether it was ensuring that my room was located in a quiet area of the hotel or providing me with extra towels and pillows. The location of a hotel can make a big difference in the overall experience of a guest, and the Best Western Hotel certainly did not disappoint in this regard. Located in a picturesque area, the hotel was surrounded by breathtaking scenery and stunning natural beauty. One of the highlights of my stay at the Best Western Hotel was watching the sunrise in the morning. In addition to the stunning sunrises, the location of the hotel also provided easy access to a variety of outdoor activities and attractions. Whether I was exploring nearby hiking trails or simply taking a leisurely stroll through the surrounding countryside, there was always something to see and do. If you ask my overall experience. I would highly recommend the Best Western Hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. hotels can often feel quite serene and quiet at night that make me upset, especially if the surrounding area is also peaceful. This can be a relaxing and calming environment for some people for me it work as reverse, while others may find it eerie or unsettling.

we only stayed one night to catch early le shuttle . it is very old building, beautiful architecture, but the room are very modern and comfortable. bathroom has very good shower and all looks very new. clean. comfortable bed and we had a sea view room - beautiful sunrise to set your day in the right mood. The pier and embankment has been recently re-done. great walk before bed. nice view to the Dover castle. it has a gym and spa but we did not have time so cannot comment.

I actually liked everything. the hotel has exceeded my expectations . I m not sure there is much to do around except hiking. but in our case it was great fit

when i got to the hotel i requested a room on a lower floor as i don't use lifts- they did not make a fuss and offered me the family room 101 and it was lovely huge with one big double bed and one double sofa- sadly it did not have a sea view but it was all that was available and it was very large clean and comfortable

the staff were a little bit confused about if they could offer me room service and several people gave me conflicting information - culminating in the there was only pizza available and none of the other food advertised on the menu i think there were several new staff and they had not been fully trained yet- also i have noticed in both my most recent stays staff can take a while to come to the check in desk when you arrive - apart from that they were all very pleasant
