The location was perfect. Kim on reception is an absolute credit to the company. She was friendly, efficient and had a wealth of local knowledge as did the lovely girl serving breakfast the next morning. All the staff were amazing and our overall stay was lovely. We'd come to Dundee for a friend's wedding so the location couldn't be better. Our room overlooked the Tay and wow, what a view. The hotel itself although old and a wee bit worn in parts, added charm to a very comfortable stay. Would highly recommend. 11\10 for location, wonderful staff and fantastic breakfast. Will definitely return.

I found the staff extremely helpful, I showed up before my room was ready but the lady on reception kindly said she could keep my suitcase until I came back to check in later to save me lugging it around. Room was bigger than I expected it to be, facilities were extremely comfortable and I got a very good night's sleep before I headed home to Glasgow the following day. Shower was easy to work and get to the correct temp for my liking. Would definitely recommend this hotel for others too!

Nothing to make any complaints about, had a fantastic stay

Perfect location, old world charme. I loved staying there and had a great view down Nethergate to the city centre. I remember that I’ve walked past it as a student, always thinking that I’d stay there when I get old and can afford it and I visit Dundee again. Many memories came up as we once had a Christmas dinner and Cailidh there when I was a student over 20 years ago.

Nothing really. Would have been great though if the bar had been open for a drink before turning in. But they are renovating, so should be remedied soon.

Loved the homily feel...and the friendly staff. Breakfast was great...lots of options and the staff were so helpful and welcoming .. Location is great..specially if you want to be close to the science museum for a family trip and have a night over...

The beds were so uncomfortable. I had to share a bed with 2 small children...there was 2 mattress on what we thought was a large bed..very uncomfortable sleeping on the middle of these ... this put me off booking here again for only that reason

The cleanliness of the room, the politeness of the staff, the location of the hotel near the center of Dundee and the private parking.

The bad condition of the building facade, which needs total renovation. The old style washbasin, with separate taps for cold and hot water. The very bad condition of the elevator. The poor continental style breakfast.

The room was quiet and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a charming old-style building with a wonderful sweeping staircase and it is in a very good location. All in all we had a very pleasant stay.

The room 304 was a bit warm on a night when sleeping and we could not fully open the window due to scaffolding outside and the noisy seagulls.

The staff are the stars

There was nothing I didn't like but the room was a bit 'tired'. I totally understand why so no problem there. I think they need to get showers and not showers over baths, for the simple reason that some older folks struggle a wee bit. Very pleasant stay and the staff can't do enough for you.

The staff were brilliant and when we asked for a larger room, they sorted it out for us without a problem. They also recommended an Indian restaurant that was fabulous. Thank you to everyone at the Queens Hotel for making it an unforgettable stay.

It is a little bit dated but it adds to its charm.

The hotel had amazing history, central to everything, station close by, 10 mins walk. Plenty of places to go and eat, hotel staff friendly, in fact all the Scots we met were very friendly, helpful, full of information. Breakfast was OK, not brilliant. We had a continental on our last day. There were no freshly bakes croissants, no selection of rolls. We got the impression everything was carefully controlled, the cooked breakfast was cooked on demand which we liked and not help yourself.

We arrived late by train due to a signal failure, we arrived about 9.00pm and the bar was shut and so was the restaurant.
