Lift to rooms. Lovely large room and bathroom. Excellent shower. Staff very friendly and service excellent. Best breakfast we had on our 3 week tour of Scotland. Located in Stockbridge which is a lovely neighbourhood - about a 20 minute walk into the city 'centre', mostly uphill. Botanic Gardens just around the corner. Limited parking at the hotel. We were lucky and got a space. Then walked everywhere or got an Uber. Thoroughly recommended!!

Nothing.

The hotel is beautiful and staff is really kind. The location is great, in one of the nicest parts of town with the Royal Botanic Gardens almost around the corner (worth a visit). The city center is a 15 minute walk away, and the walk there is great, with lots of nice shops and coffee places along the way. The room itself was very nice, with a comfortable bed and really nice bathroom. The restaurant is good, and especially the breakfast was outstanding. The atmosphere at the bar is great as well.

The Raeburn is a popular meet-up spot to have some drinks. They play music and people have drinks outside if the weather allows. This was really nice on most days, as it brought a great atmosphere and the music stopped around 9:00pm (and it wasn't too loud if you wanted to get an early night). On our last day there was very loud music until we called the reception around 11:30pm after which is was turned down. The music stopped around midnight.

Booked at short notice with little research after our initial hotel cancelled, and could not have been more pleased. Beautiful place with lovely decoration and facilities, and the staff were gracious in facilitating an early check in to get ready for the wedding we were attending. We travelled with our 2-year-old and they were very accommodating, plus the location in Stockbridge is beautiful, so we were able to meet friends for brunch a short walk away.

Our only regret was not having time to try the food on offer downstairs!

The first hotel was really noisy because of road works, I have a walker and I couldn’t manage it up and down the stairs so I felt stranded. You refunded my money for the next two nights and I moved to the fantastic Raeburn the price was the same as the first hotel but I had so much more it was in a Victorian style the dressings were beautiful and the furniture everything you would expect from a five star hotel.

I couldn’t find a single fault and will be going back to the same hotel again

The Raeburn is AWESOME. I normally don't bother to leave reviews because, realistically, most places just aren't that remarkable. But the Raeburn was fantastic in every way. Stockbridge is a perfect location for someone looking to stay in a beautiful place but not tourist central. Completely walkable, though, to all the tourists sites. The breakfast was fantastic, staff was kind and helpful, room was gorgeous and spotless. Will 100% be back.

This place made our wedding so much more special! the bar/restaurant had a steady flow of customers which was a good sign for the food/drink/ service and created a lovely atmosphere. the outdoor lighting was beautiful, the rooms were beautiful and kept so clean. We felt so spoilt! We had a bit of a party in their private function room after the wedding ceremony and the staff were so accommodating! we loved our stay and can’t wait to come again soon!

the only slight negative was the pillows, were slightly too firm for us so another option for pillow type would have been lovely but it’s still not enough to put us of returning!

it was a well appointed room, with free tea coffee and some snacks, with the ability to pay for other drinks. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was very clean, and plenty of room. The food was lovely although not an extensive menu. Great breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and I would definitely go back.

There is only a very limited amount of parking spaces, although we were lucky. Although a boutique hotel it was a bit pricey, and would have thought it should have included breakfast as standard, but I would go back.

Breakfast was incredible. Lots of choice, lovely dining areas. Location was in charming Stockbridge, near to lots of shops and restaurants Room was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our stay there

I had asked for a room with a view as this was a special occasion but we didn’t get one. I wasn’t given a reason and no one mentioned it on arrival. Disappointing as I had contacted them ahead of time to request and as I hadn’t heard back, assumed it was all fine.

Nice hotel, in. very cool area (just outside Edinburgh, roughly a 15 minute walk from the West End). The hotel is very cool, and busy on a weekend in regards to the bar/restaurant. Rooms are a great size, staff are polite and are more than happy to assist when required. Food is also very good, with a great breakfast, lunch and evening menu. Room noise is kept to a minimum, so you can sleep well. Staff member who I spoke to on the phone, went out of his way to help both before my stay (as it was booked for my older Mum/Step Dad) and came over to say hello, a lovely personal touch, this hotel is full of nice staff.

Sometimes a little slow at breakfast in regards to service. If you are eating late, the bar/restaurant area does turn into an overspill for anyone wanting to sit down, so can get a little noisy. Getting a taxi can take some time if you need one into Edinburgh City Centre, so have that in mind and allow for time to get to & from the hotel.

Guy on reception for check in was very helpful and friendly. He told me I could park in the small hotel car park instead of on the street which was a bonus! Lovely room with a useful Dyson fan and nespresso machine. Bar staff gave me lots of soya milk for my coffee. Breakfast was lovely. Would definitely return. Complimentary crisps, biscuit and water were a nice touch.
