Location - good to travel around and less expensive than the more popular towns. Hotel has character, very old but rooms refurbished to a good standard. Great water pressure, amazing towels 🙂 Recommend the Court room for a special occasion, it was really luxurious. Staff all very pleasant and attentive. Good bar - great selection of drinks. Saw some delicious looking cocktails being made. Outdoor central courtyard good for drinks in the sun. A problem with my booking caused by Booking com was swiftly and generously resolved.

Some noise at night from the courtyard if you're in a room that overlooks it. Blackout blind needed in the twin room as sun streams in at 4am. Parking is limited.

The staff were friendly, welcoming and attentive from the moment we arrived. The hotel has been renovated with a real coaching inn feel to it. Modern but in keeping with its history. We had a very large (superior) room, fantastic king size bed with a huge full length mirror and great furniture pieces. The breakfast room is stunning and the breakfast itself had superior produce and was so delicious - amazing value for money. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back soon.

The plumbing is a little noisy when you take a shower and you could hear other residents' too. Completely understandable for such an old building but potentially something that could be looked at. It wasn't an issue for us, just an observation.

The room was brilliant, spa bath a real treat and the food was as delicious as anticipated. The food really makes it special. Lovely touch having a Christmas tree in our room and the service from the staff and manager was excellent. Our feedback was taken onboard in a very professional manner and we would recommend this as a place to stay to friends. We will definitely be returning. Also told that we could bring dogs to the Courtroom which is very appealing.

The DJ event next door (Saturdays) made for a poor nights sleep as people were drunk out on the street directly below our room. We only slept from 3 am unfortunately. Would have appreciated some ear plugs in the room, bottled water and also a coffee machine, even if just Nespresso. If these were added then the it would certainly improve the experience.

We were two friends 'meeting halfway' in Faringdon. Neither of us knew the area but from the minute we walked in we felt really at home. David offered us tea, he and his colleagues were friendly and helpful. The rooms ( 2x deluxe doubles) are spacious, clean, have sloping floors and one had a low doorway and high ceiling (everything you'd expect from an old Coaching Inn). The beds are very comfortable, the bedrooms felt more modern than the bathrooms which were spacious and clean. The real surprise was the restaurant. Service, food and surroundings are all 10/10. You can feel and taste the team's ambition to make the restaurant a success. I don't think it'll be long before there'll be a waiting list to eat here.

There's a bus stop directly outside the Inn. Be warned, you might find yourself smiling at the passengers on the top floor of the double decker buses when you open the blind! Perhaps a window dressing might help with this. One of the rooms was above the pub (which had a great log fire) so noise does filter through but didn't go on late.

Some or most of the rooms have just been redone. The building is old and has a lot of character to it. There is a little courtyard in the middle where you can eat and drink outside. On occasions they have live music on the weekends. The ceilings have old wooden beams throughout the hotel. The bed I had was very comfortable to sleep in. Something I don't usually notice, but the towels were great, fresh smelling and thick high quality. My stay there overall was a delight.

The floors are creaky and you can hear other guests depending on where your room is based. But that is to be expected from an old unique property like this one.

The staff were exremely friendly and hospitable without being overly invasive, respecting our privacy. High quality bedding and daily replenishment of coffee/tea making and bathroom supplies

A minor gripe was lack of any ergonomic room furniture to use a laptop (no desk or chair). Bookings.com should update the hotel info to reflect that breakfast and other excellent food options are made available by this hotel.

The restaurant and bar were fabulous. The food was amazing and very well adapted for gluten / dairy free. The waitresses were attentive and bar staff helpful. Greeting on arrival was friendly. The dining room is open and spacious. Xxx

Information in the room, times for breakfast food, bar. Some local info? Check in/ out times etc . A blanket on the bed would have been nice as the duvet was light. The bed was super comfortable and large .

Gorgeous room. Nice atmosphere in the pub. Comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast

Disappointed that we couldn’t get a cocktail on arrival as it was advertised on the door that they were serving cocktails in the cocktail bar. The reason given was they were short staffed. When we arrived we were the only people in the cocktail bar and there were 5 staff behind the bar!!!

Lovely, spacious, beautifully furnished room. Very comfortable bed. Modern, well equipped bathroom with a large shower.cubicle. A typical country inn with friendly and attentive staff. Lovely old courtyard, perfect for evening drinks Excellent bus bus service to Oxford

Although the hotel was perfect in every way, the actual town of Faringdon was fairly quiet.
