-Wonderful owner/staff who will make you feel right at home, great atmosphere -Amazing location with a hard to beat view across the lake with mountains in the distance. -Excellent breakfast, dinner, bar with beers and great whisky selection Important to know: The Corran ferry is currently out of service, but if you come from Edinburgh/Glasgow, you can park the car for free on the east side of the lake right by the ferry station and take a short free passenger boat ride to cross the water. Thus, you can avoid driving all around the lake if you want to (it’s a beautiful drive though if you have the time). We were very glad we stayed at the Inn, we had a wonderful experience here and were sad to leave.

All the staff were friendly and made a real effort to engage in conversation with our kids. The room for a family of five plus a large dog was a brilliant size and the food at dinner was great.

No complaints whatsoever. The hotel was pretty basic but 100% worth the money that we paid.

The Inn is a traditional experience beside the Loch. The staff were lovely, the service was friendly, the food was excellent local cuisine, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Exactly what we hoped by staying at a local Inn. We particularly liked hanging out in the residents lounge, and the Inn is dog friendly. I particularly recommend the kippers at breakfast which was hearty and fresh cooked.

There is little to criticise here - the internet was limited but as a parent I found this to be a relief. The building is a little tired but what is expected of a country Inn.

Had a nice stay at the Inn at Ardgour. The room was perfect for us, the beds comfy, and most importantly for us the shower had GREAT water pressure and the water was nice and hot. After we’d been staying in a couple places with terrible water pressure and lukewarm water, it felt like a godsend. The restaurant in the inn had great food and the servers were excellent. The common space was really nice as well, with a ton of games that we had fun with. The location was gorgeous. Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area. We went on a Friday and learned the brewery up the road was open, but we were a bit too exhausted. Next time!

The inn is a bit dated, but still comfortable. The only oddity we faced is that when we initially got into our room the heat was on all the way up, and it felt like a sauna. We stayed in late august, when the weather was beautiful. Not sure why it was all the way up! But we turned it off and opened the windows to balance it out.

Quiet, relaxing, incredibly welcoming and kind village and inn. Food was excellent too! What a gem we found and are so glad we did! Note the ferry to cross the loch is still down so it took an extra hour to arrive but the drive through the rural village and loch view at sunset is totally worth it. No regrets! Accommodations are delightfully simple and the bed/pillows were SO COMFY! The showers are also perfectly hot. :) If you are looking to escape the bustle of busy highland traffic and crowds, this is THE PLACE TO BE. Luke and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier and the new friends we made at the local brewery were so welcoming. Pet friendly too!

This was by far the most spectacular location of anywhere we stayed during our month touring around the UK. The ferry was regular and way less hassle than I anticipated. We had to plan a little as it is pretty isolated. But the Inn provides brekkie and dinner - plus it has a bar. The family room was perfect as it had 2 separate sleeping areas and a bathroom. There was heaps of space. After dinner we walked along the beach. There were sheep wandering along the road - it's that quiet. We drove up the coast towards Glenfinnan and it was more beautiful than places we visited in Skye. Except there was nobody there. The Inn was a brilliant peaceful break. I only wished we had stayed longer.

The Inn is directly opposite the ferry - which operates 6.30am to 9pm. It was a little noisy as we had the windows open as it was hot in summer. (This is unusual!) We also heard the sheep bleating while walking down the road at night. Very funny! Otherwise, remember this is a country pub in an isolated spot. Judge it as that and you'll love it.

The Inn is situated in a stunningly beautiful location and the view from our room was beautiful. The evening meal was superb, tried haggis for the first time in the form of a starter with the most incredible whisky sauce...amazing. breakfast was good if a little expensive. The staff, some of whom were the family who own the Inn were very pleasant and welcoming.

Unfortunately the Corran ferry was non operational which meant a long trip around Loch Linnhe, which was scenic but added a fair bit to the travel time due to it being a single track road with passing places.

The Inn is located at the ferry landing with a beautiful view looking down the Loch. The accommodations were very comfortable and very adequate. The car ferry is closed until sometime in later June 2023 due to repairs, so coming from Glencoe, you must drive around the Loch to get to the Inn. There is a passenger ferry running, but your car will be on the other shore. Our host was very friendly and offered advice as to what to see in the area. The Glencoe region is spectacular and often overlooked by tourists. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious! The full Scottish breakfast was wonderful as well.

You can’t complain about the car ferry. Not the Inn’s fault. The drive was worth it.

Fantastic location with stunning views from the bedroom windows. The staff were very friendly and welcoming - even to the dog. We had a brief but very enjoyable stay.

The Inn is accessed via a short ferry ride across the loch but the ferry wasn’t running the day we arrived so we had a long drive around the loch to get there - although it turned out to be a beautiful drive and well worth the detour. Apparently the ferry is the responsibility of the local council and they had been slow to repair it which really isn’t fair on the businesses and the people who live and visit Ardour.
