The room was really big and spacious, amazing facilities with a full kitchen and armchairs. The B&B was easy to find and perfect location for those walking Hadrian’s Wall. The host Jackie was really welcoming and even drove us out to a local pub for a fantastic meal as the pub in the village is not open at the moment. Jackie provided a range of options for breakfast, portions very generous and all included in the price of the room. I would highly recommend staying here.

The only minor complaint would be limited headroom in the shower as it’s built into the eaves. Other than that it really was absolutely fantastic.

The apartment was immaculately clean, well stocked, with fresh, lovely, comfy beds. Jackie and Steve were wonderful hosts, couldn’t do enough for us. Great contact before hand and even offered to book us a table at a local restaurant and preceded to drop us off and pick us up! Breakfast and packed lunch were brilliant and we made our choices for these the night before. On our Hadrian’s wall trip, this really was the height of luxury - we would highly recommend to anyone passing by this way.

That we couldn’t stay longer!!

Jackie was excellent from start to finish with communications. We arrived later than we told her and she had no problems with it at all. The parking was right next to the accommodation and everything was super clean in the apartment. The apartment provides everything we needed and not to mention the amazing breakfast! It is pet friendly which our senior cat enjoyed her stay very much! Also the location is great if you want to explore Hadrian's Wall as you can just walk from the apartment. Highly recommended to everyone! Thank you Jackie!

The apartment was brilliant. Self contained x well equipped. It was nice to have a lovely breakfast brought up to the apartment by Jackie everyday. We could eat privately every morning x take our time. We did move into a another room in the main house for our last night due to me not booking enough nights! I’m pleased to say it was just as nice x again breakfast was brought in by Jackie every morning. We spoke to Jackie’s husband who was pleasant x informative. (sorry I’ve forgotten his name.) Not forgetting Noah who greeted us wagging his tail every time we came back from our daily walks. Reminded me of home. x

The accommodation was modern and spacious. The location is well placed between local pubs, and with easy access to parts of the Wall. Having a functioning kitchen was really useful. I was able to prepare an evening meal, and use the washing/drying machines. The cooked breakfast were very good, and there was plenty of continental options to choose from. The owners were really accommodating and helpful.

Jackie was absolutely amazing! So helpful and so understanding and flexible! The location and apartment itself was absolutely brilliant. We travelled from London had issues on the way and kept Jackie informed who was so accommodating

What a wonderful place to stay! Amazing! Jackie is a superb host. The annexe is beautifully decorated and furnished and spotlessly clean. It's light and airy with a nice seating area and spacious bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped for longer stays. It was quiet and peaceful and we had a good night's sleep after a day walking the Hadrian's Wall path. The Hollies is ideally situated for this being just off the path and only a few minutes walk from the local pub for an evening meal. In the morning, with time and menu arranged the night before, Jackie brought us a delicious breakfast which set us up well for walking the next section of the path. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer! We're looking forward to returning and using the Hollies as a base to explore the area further. Thank you Jackie

Nothing! Everything absolutely perfect

Absolutely everything. The location is ideal for tourists who like to walk and see the local beauty. The accommodation is outstanding. It was clean,cosy. We staying in a self contained flat above garage and it was so comfortable and peaceful, it had everything you would need. Jackie the owner was lovely, so welcoming and her breakfasts were plentiful and delicious and the cooked breakfast was amazing.

What a perfect place to stay! The property was so clean, spacious, comfy, and stocked full of everything you could need - I only stayed one night but this would be a wonderful base for a longer stay in the area as it really is your own little flat, complete with kitchen, cooking facilities, and washer and dryer. Jackie is a fantastic host and extremely friendly. She was so helpful and kind from the time of booking right through to checkout, just a wonderful person. My cooked breakfast was so hearty and delicious. I really savored the pot of coffee in a week of coffee packets! I also opted for a packed lunch which was equally delicious. Jackie made literally the best cheese sandwich for me (it was seriously so good) with a traybake that was the perfect boost I needed on my walk today. I can’t say enough good things about The Hollies on the Wall!

Nothing! Absolutely perfect place to stay.

We stayed here while walking the Hadrian's Wall Path just after Easter. It is in a perfect location as the path passes right through the village. The hosts were lovely, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had been over-ambitious about how much we could tackle each day and phoned ahead to warn that we might be late. The hosts very kindly offered to pick us up en route if necessary, an offer we took up and one of them drove several miles to meet us. They will also receive your bags before you check in if you use a luggage transfer service. We stayed in the annexe, a large loft space away from the main house with its own entrance. It is very spacious and has recently been refurbished to a very high standard with its own shower room and kitchen - very good value for £105. The breakfast was excellent - you pre-order the items you want from a menu that is provided the evening before.

I honestly can't think of anything that I didn't like.
