The breakfast was amazing. It was a very lovely spread with a good choice of fruit, cereals, and toast. It was beautifully presented and everything was fresh. We didn't get a full Scottish but we did get bacon and eggs to go with our toast, and that was really lovely and bacon was of good quality. The rooms were really clean and much more than I expected. The shower is a must - it was amazing and super hot just the way I like it. The bed was super comfy.

The only negative which really isn't a reflection of the hotel, is the parking situation. Just be prepared you may have to walk a little to get parked. The road is very narrow, so be careful if you have a big vehicle like myself. Being disabled I wanted something close, luckily I found a spot on the corner on the adjacent street so not to bad for me. But really it is a old costal town so nothing unusual.

Lovely wee room. Great location, easy 5-10 minute walk to Anstruther. The room was extremely clean and comfortable, and bigger than I was expecting. It was very quiet despite being above a pub if this worries you! Friendly staff and a lovely cooked breakfast every morning.

It was quite a warm room with no fan or aircon - I’m sure not a problem most of the time as Scotland never seems to get very hot - but we did come straight from a snowy winter so felt the heat a bit.

The host was friendly and welcoming. Locals in the bar were great and the pub was relaxing with a really good atmosphere. The single room was small and basic but it was all I needed, it was clean and comfortable. Great location close to other bars and restaurants in Cellardyke and Anstruther. Breakfast was tasty and included in the price of the stay which was a fantastic rate too. I will visit again as I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend.

Had an excellent stay at The Coastal Inn. Staff and bar patrons were very friendly and chatty, room was bright and spotless, bed very comfortable and had a great sleep with the sound of the sea in the background. Breakfast was excellent and set us up for the morning.

Parking is very limited near The Coastal Inn. My advice would be to get there early to get a spot on the street, and take a wee car as the streets are narrow!

Breakfast excellent Location excellent. It was near all the places we wish to visit.

Everything was excellent. My only complaint was we were travelling with my 87:year old Dad. We thought that when it said it was a single room with garden view. We thought it was on the ground floor. He had stairs to climb and then outside and 3;stairs to go into room. There was no hand rail for him to hold on too. He managed with a lot of help from us.

Breakfast was very good. The staff were just super friendly and helpful. The room was newly renovated and very comfortable, very clean and really nice modern bathroom and shower. We were here for a couple of nights and it was nice to just be able to pop down to the bar and have a drink with the locals - the staff and people were very friendly. The location was excellent, we walked to Anstruther every day to the harbour area where there are fantastic fish and chip shops (we enjoyed the ‘Wee Chippie’ best and the ‘Vintage Tearoom’. The Dreel Tavern is a great wee bar with a nice outside beer garden with small hut shelters. Take the boat tour over to Isle of May nature sanctuary. Incredible bird sanctuary with 46,000 nesting pairs of Puffins and many other bird species. The walk to the Loch and the Lighthouse is amazing.

Nothing that caused us any problem. Parking is tricky on the very narrow local streets, but we were able to get somewhere close by easily enough.

The staff were very friendly and helpful with information. The breakfast was very good. The room was comfortable apart from being very warm overnight. Good sized room. Keys to let yourself in and out as you pleased. Friendly bar downstairs with TV, pool table and darts. Overall a good place to stay for an overnight or couple of nights. Good price too.

Was a bit noisey the night we stayed, from other guests across the hall. The room was very warm overnight so didn't sleep too well.

We were walking the Fife Coastal Path and booking accommodation close to the route. This hotel was exactly what we needed. We were unsure what it would be like being above a pub - but it was great. There was no noise, the rooms were well presented; the bathroom modern, spacious and the shower was good. We had breakfast cooked to order which was great

This was the most expensive accommodation on fife coastal route.

Breakfast was cooked and served by Duncan who is attentive and cheerful and wants to ensure you have everything you need. Help yourself to an assortment of fruits, breads, teas and coffee. Table set for you and he cooks whatever you want from a selection of hot breakfast items. A pleasure to have met him. The bedroom is clean and adequate as is the bathroom.

There are 3 bedrooms and other guests failed to understand the mechanism of door handles letting the door slam shut coming in late or leaving early. Perhaps a sign with bells and flashing lights might prompt future guests to be more mindful!! Parking can be difficult on the street but there’s a public car park a few minutes away.

Fabulous large room with a super comfy king size bed and hot drink facilities. The room and bathroom are decorated to a high standard and spotless throughout. The landlord Angus is like Iza from Still Game, knows everything, everyone and has great banter! If the sun does make it out, there is a small beer garden to the rear. Full Scottish breakfast from Duncan was delicious and freshly cooked, so lovely and hot. Choice of cereals, juices, fruit and toast were on offer to start. A lovely pub with a few cosy rooms in walking distance to the main harbour. Would definitely return.

Can't say anything bad about our stay.
