We didn’t buy breakfast as we had an invitation from friends living locally. The grounds looked very nice, the Receptionist was very helpful and welcoming, we only stayed one night with our Adult son in a separate room, the shower , tea and coffee making facilities all good, and bed was comfortable. Lovely and quiet, which is what we are used to at home. A friendly person was in reception to say goodbye and check we left our keys

There had been a wedding the day before and the view from our window looked as though not everything had been tidied up. There appeared to be very few quests, and minimal staff, so no offer of help getting cases up to the room. Personally I would prefer to know someone was available 24/7 should we have had any need of help.

Superb setting out in the country, so it was lovely and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good and cooked how I asked for it. The grounds were immaculate. I didn't use the bar or restaurant as I was seeing a friend so can't comment on them, Niki was very friendly and helpful

Having to book breakfast the night before. Small flight of stairs outside room had striped carpet running along the width of the stairs, creating a bit of an optical illusion which could be dangerous!

The location was excellent, quiet and peaceful and despite being out in the country it was very easy to find due especially to clear signing on the roads. The room was clean and comfortable and with everything one would wish for.

beautiful location, staff were lovely, especially the staff serving me at breakfast. They were so helpful and accommodating as I was in a rush to get to my job.

The venue is a little dated, I struggled with sleeping due to the heat and no fan/AC but other than those minor things I had a great stay.

This property is very charming and inviting. It does hotel the old fashioned way and it works. Friendly staff and our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was fabulous! Every member of staff we met could not have done enough for us. We will definitely stay again. It’s around 25mins drive from Rye and around 10mins drive from Hastings. Thank you for having us!

Perhaps a little old fashioned but that was part of the charm. Some people may not like this. We had a little trouble with the wi fi but didn’t need it much anyway

Nice location, nice room, l reception staff very helpful waitress was rather reserved. Comfortable beds.

No mattress or pillow protectors on the beds.. Dust going upstairs between the rail spokes coffee stains on the stairs breakfast room hadn't been swept. Housekeeping lax. No fans in bathroom. Looks like a wedding this weekend hope a little cleaner for them.

The mattresses were so comfortable we didn't want to get up! Breakfast was lovely staff friendly and helpful wonderful location.

Better quality ingredients could’ve been used for the breakfast. The mushrooms were boiled and watery and the sausage was mushy.

it was close to family that we were visiting and in a peaceful location. They we’re very accommodating about our late arrival.

Fabulous hotel, great price and great location. The rooms are basic but the beds are incredibly comfortable and the bath was gorgeous along with lots of hot water. Our dog was made so welcome. Staff were friendly and accomodating.
