The staff was amazingly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was out of this world delicious and nutritious! So we're the evening meals and beer!! The service was outstanding in every aspect! The bed was super comfortable and the room was very clean, complete with coffee, tea and treats. I would come back to Hawkhurst just to stay at The Queens Inn.

I really enjoy sitting outside in the early mornings for coffee or reading, so that's the only thing that could have improved the facilities for me. (I felt like the staff were so accommodating, friendly and hard working I probably could have asked for one of the outside chairs to be unlocked; but that's precisely why I didn't... :) It really was a top notch stay and I enjoyed every moment!

Beautiful old pub/Hotel in a pretty village. Great location for visiting Sissinghurst, Great Dixter and the South Coast. Friendly and professional staff. Delicious food and drink at night. Great breakfast, charming breakfast room, lovely staff. Bed was comfortable, with nice quality linen and great housekeeping. Quiet room. Easy walk to centre of village, including an excellent Indian restaurant.

We arrived in a heat wave and the bedroom was very hot, as its an old building, with no aircon etc. By leaving windows and curtains open and the fan on it was possible to sleep, but for me the bedroom was very hot. Although lovely and quiet. We arrived just before the kitchen closed, due to a delayed flight, and unfortunately we were unable to get any food, disappointing after a long travelling day. We ate on a different night and the food was lovely.

Coming from London it was so nice to visit the Queen's Inn hotel. Staff were so nice and friendly and accommodating. We booked the double deluxe room and it did not disappoint. The bed was huge and the room had a dressing area and a beautiful bathroom with a roll top bath. The fridge was stocked with water and we had various coffee pods tea and chocolate sachets to keep us refreshed. We had a lovely dinner and sat outside and again the food was delicious and didn't take long to arrive. The breakfast was also amazing and kept us full throughout the day. I would definitely recommend the Queen's Inn

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff-we were made to feel welcome straight away. Nice comfy bed and pillows. Delicious food served in the bar. We needed to leave by 8am on day of departure so it was nice to receive a basket with continental breakfast goodies outside our door!

The shower controls were so fiddly to regulate the water temperature, either it was too hot of too cold. It took ages and a lot of wasted water to get it just right. Room was a little dark but it was an old building and better lighting would make a difference.

The breakfast was excellent. Close location for visiting several National Trust properties. Easy to find. Grocery and petrol stations near by on the same street if you need them. We had a Family Room which is all that was available. It was spacious and comfortable. The shower was in the bathtub. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Lots of parking onsite, in front of hotel and pub.

Limited dining choices in Hawkhurst (there are at least 3 Chinese take-aways!) The passageway to the only stairway to the rooms needs some sprucing up. You have to walk by the kitchen and back doors. Be aware there is no elevator.

Really great place to stay in Hawkhurst. Good pub, good restaurant, comfortable room and really friendly staff. Came here for our wedding anniversary. Our room was a good size, with a lovely bath in the bedroom. The chocolate brownies in our room to go with tea were a lovely touch. Food in the restaurant was good too which meant you didn't have to go out. Located close to Rye, Hastings, lots of good walks and National Trust properties. Highly recommended.

Our room was above the bar so was a little loud but it didn't really worry us because we were in the bar both evenings anyway. Would recommend asking for a quiet room if you like to go to bed early.

This Hotel was outstanding!! Staff were all very welcoming , this 500yr old place was a delight, beautiful decor, candles and sparkling lights really make it feel cosy and atmospheric especially with the great big fire places. Our room was massive, clean cosy, excellent facilities, filter coffee and brownies to welcome you, lots of TV channels. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Maybe best place we've ever stayed in

Nothing we didn't like, but had to mention, we were woken by fire alarms because someone was vaping.. but just goes to show fire alarms all works perfectly!👍 A bit of historical information about the place to hand would be interesting to read and possibly more old photos of the place through time , just a thought..

Fabulous room; beautifully decorated with large and comfortable bed, big bathroom (shower and bath!) and great breakfast. High-quality extras - Dyson fan, Nespresso machine, hot water dispenser, fridge for cold milk and water, smart TV.

The room we stayed in is perhaps a tiny bit oversold as a suite - there’s a small, windowless area with a couple of chairs, but this is more like a dressing area than somewhere you’d actually want to sit, but other than this it’s pretty much perfect.

Staff excellent, friendly yet efficient ,complementary soft drink on arrival while booking in a nice touch. Room and bathroom small but good value for money, at the back of the pub but no noise from the kitchen or staff leaving as sometimes happens. Generous portions of food, glad to see fewer individually packaged items eg jam, butter, sauces etcreducing plastic waste.

Not much, evening meal choices of a standard and variety of most pubs and a bit short staffed but all doing their best and with a smile.

The staff were fantastic but a special mention needs to be said for Zoe who was absolutely amazing and went above and beyond - really is a huge credit to the hotel! Really didn't want to leave as it was such a great stay. Lovely breakfast and the brownies didn't last long

The bed was slightly too stiff for my liking but that's just personal preference so wouldn't fault them on that. The only thing I found negative was when I had finished the brownie as they were so good.
