The room was amazing, more like a suite with a small hallway and inner lobby. We had our own parking space outside and everything was really clean and comfortable. The staff were excellent and the food was lovely. Breakfast was really good with loads of choice.

The room was on the road side of the building and was quite busy daytime and early evening. The parking space outside could be made wider for access by moving some plant pots, and a shelf or two could be placed in the inner lobby to enable it to be used as a dressing table, but all of this is just small detail. The food was on the expensive side and menu could have some more basic dishes added.

The location of The Lodge is the reason we stayed there. Having previously eaten there before , we chose it for it's close proximity to Old Hunstanton's beautiful beach. The room a superior double was spacious with a good amount of storage and a very comfortable large bed. The bathroom was a good size with a bath and shower. which was very powerful. We ate every night in the restaurant, the staff were very pleasant, efficient and provided an excellent service. We enjoyed all our evening meals. We were room only and didn't try the breakfast during our stay.

Could have stayed longer!

The staff were all brilliant, the food was amazing, we liked the atmosphere which was buzzing the whole weekend, it has a large bar area, with a logfire, but a quieter resteraunt area which was separate if you wanted to be away from the big groups of people and have more of a “date” evening! The room was very cosy, great shower, and the location is perfect for visiting the north Norfolk beaches.

I think that breakfast should be included in the nightly price, as it’s fairly expensive to stay there, and is worth it for all the reasons above, but found it a bit tight that it was a separate cost as with 3 nights it added on another £84, and it wouldn’t have been easy to find anywhere nearby for alternative breakfast options..

Not really a negative, did not spoil my stay but just an observation - I had a courtyard (dog friendly) room, 'The Garden Shed', which had a skylight window high above the bed. On checking out I discovered there was remote control for the blind on that window but this had not been mentioned on arrival. I was so tired, I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow but I was wide awake at 6am with light pouring in!

The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The decor and furniture standard was high and lovely organic toiletries in the bathroom (so nice, I am going to buy some myself!). The bed was huge and really comfortable. The room was at a perfect temperature. We had lunch in the bar and it was fantastic. Again, it was big but very cosy at the same time. A lovely outdoor space as well as a conservatory room. Breakfast was delicious and had a nice selection. Staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. Would definitely stay there again when next in the area.

Staff went out of their way to help when I arrived very wet and tired after 8 hours in rain on pushbike. Arranged secure storage. Super friendly and helpful. Evening meal exceptional.and so pleased to be put in main restaurant..much more comfortable..again, great attentive staff in restaurant

Layout of bar and furnishings very clinical.and not warming or comfortable at all. All tables reserved with no one sat at them. Had to.run around in the shower to get wet..really poor water supply room.2

Great location, 5 minutes walk down a little lane to a beautiful beach. Our room was lovely, a fan was provided due to a heatwave! The large shower room was luxurious with toiletries provided.....smelt like a spa! The hotel overall was beautiful, loved the furnishings. My evening meal of halloumi burger and chocolate tart was delicious, and hubby had "the best steak ever"! and a yummy dessert.

it was a lovely building decorated lovely and the staff were all helpful and polite

both the lampshades in our room on the lamps were broken and every 10/15 minutes a large door beneath outer room banged loudly and shook the building so just as we were falling asleep we were woken with a start . we were in room 10 and both mornings we had the housekeeping staff standing just outside our room talking loudly for around 15 minutes.also the menu could do with a few more options it was very limited

beautifully done out property and bedrooms and facilities have had a lot of thought go into them. staff very friendly and service good. great location for exploring the north Norfolk coast. lovely toiletries - didn’t use my own as they smelt incredible!

door latch broken so you had to accept door was ‘shut & locked’, made for a rattly door when people went past and it was quite noisy. steak rather tough and chewy, was not asked how I would like it cooked either.

The Lodge offers a modern, efficient, comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are very attentive and polite. The quality of food is very good and off road parking is available right outside. Our room was very spacious and the beds comfy.

The shower tray kept overflowing which is obviously a recurrent problem looking at the evidence of water damage to the flooring. We reported this to the staff each morning and attempts were made to resolve the problem. However, it wasn't resolved which left us with a very slippy and sodden floor to negotiate each of the three nights of our stay.
