We was very happy with the location of the hotel and the grounds of which it sat were lovely. We had already got a good value deal with breakfast, and we were even more happy and surprised with our free upgrade given to us when we arrived at the hotel. The room was lovely and clean and the hotel staff were very nice. We ate at the bar restaurant for the first night of our stay and and the burger and chips were very nice and filling. We had a good full english breakfast both mornings plus the standard continental add ons if needed. Hunstanton is just a short drive however you could also walk it on a nicer day and the golf course looked decent. I'd recommend Henry's fish and chips in Hunstanton, great food and staff. Overall great experience and would go back to this hotel, even with the original room we booked, although the room we were given would be hard to beat. Thanks

Have stayed before several times. It is an easy location for meeting up with family. I take into account you are only 3 stars so expectations are not high.

Information that should have been given when we checked in eg. Notbeing told we could have used the Searles facilities of the pool etc. We only found this out from member of waiting staff at breakfast when we’re about to leave. The bed comfort did leave something to be desired afraid we did not sleep well at all. But otherwise clean. Not sure if mushrooms were deep fat fried but were a little unpleasant. Still would like to see at least beverages to be served. But I see the logic.

The room we had at the pavilion was enormous, with a lovely view over the golf course. The room and it's facilities went well beyond my expectations. The only downside was the lack of hooks in the bathroom as there was nowhere to hang dressing gowns/clothes or towels. Found the breakfast to be plentiful and the service fast and friendly. The staff were always smiling, friendly and helpful it didn't matter that we only stayed one night they treated us as though we owned the place. Would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely go back.

Nothing, other than the lack of hooks in the bathroom.

Parking was excellent, staff member helped with luggage and entrance into hotel the best and easiest way for my disabled partner. The hotel had upgraded us to an easy access room on the ground floor with excellent facilities for a wheel chair and access to an outside private sitting space.. We just had breakfast and were given a time slot of our choice so it was not too busy. It was self service for cereals , fruit, toast etc. plus drinks. The manageress was very helpful and bought over our selfserve drinks and the waitress took orders for a good selection of cooked breakfasts. All staff were excellent.

Breakfast was ok although probably because we had late breakfast ( as was waiting for my son and granddaughter to join us)I would say was a bit over cooked. As we were last ones in there bearing in mind it was 10.30 and breakfast not supposed to finish til then, felt hurried to finish. So we managed to get another drink and went outside to finish. Wow amazing new club house, bet the rooms are fabulous. Had a drink in there very reasonably priced.

My pet hate PILLOWS. Bed was comfortable but pillows like bricks, for me any how. I have already said about breakfast. Such a great location for visiting my son Used to come to the hotel a few years ago when visiting an elderly friend. She used to love coming for dinner and afternoon tea. Door locks are a nightmare especially in Lavender cottage.

Good breakfast, however, they delivered hot food too soon as we were still eating our cereal and having a coffee. Nice dining area though with view over golf course. Good menu but overpriced for what you received, eg my wife's starter, melon and parma ham, 'tiny' and rather looked a bit of an apology. Waited too long for main course to arrive and table next to us returned a fish dish as it was not cooked properly. Waiter staff need a bit more training at table. You should not reach across someone to hand a meal across the table, you should walk round and serve from behind.

Only comments would be breakfast and dinner experience where a bit more training needed with staff at table. Don't bring hot food at breakfast so soon, take order for cooked food a little later.

Nice hotel, clean public areas and lovely room

Whilst the staff were pleasant and friendly (with a couple who really stood out) there was a lack of engagement from some. Could walk though reception with no acknowledgement or greeting, same when walked into breakfast and also in the evening when we went into bar. We walked into bar and no one was serving which is OK as hotel was quiet, but receptionist should have seen us and sent in a bar person. True, I could have asked but there was just a general feeling of lack of "pro activity" from some staff which could make all the difference to the experience.

Everything! We were upgraded to an amazing room in The Pavilion; there was a lift enabling my disabled friend to get upstairs with ease; plenty of space in the fully equipped room, walk in shower, etc. The menus were varied and all meals were well cooked and very tasty. Staff were occasionally slow in taking orders but it was busy. All staff from reception to bar staff, etc. were friendly and the general atmosphere was very relaxed and welcoming. Will try to find time to go again.

Parking slightly closer to the Pavilion would have been a bonus to prevent having to walk - my friend finds difficulty in walking far and there were no dedicated 'resident' spaces near to the main door.

It is clearly an old building re-developed and revamped skillfully for its clientele. I was in the old part of the complex although it had all we would expect from a hotel in this price range and location. Many activities available on site for 21st Century living, gym, golf course, close to the sea, exquisite local, uniquely British architecture in many cases dating back hundreds of years. I noticed how child friendly the staff were although I was travelling solo, a 77 year old man.

Nothing really; the shower in the en-suite was a bit small, yet the water was hot, cool, cold, I could adjust it as I wanted. I remember this venue particularly because everything was/is spotlessly clean and staff were helpful and human.

The peace of the location and the quality of the food,

Missed the bar -opens at 5pm so had to use Pavilion bar (on same site but part of golf club. New without character). We always liked to sit and play our board game in the afternoons in hotel bar with a roaring fire so this was missing. Also no hot water until afternoon of day 2 because of boiler fault, so no shower for first evening (although we could have gone to one of outside cottages for this facility). I felt we could at least have been offered a bottle of wine with dinner as compensation. Staff very apologetic and it couldn’t be helped but disappointing.
