It was a great location overlooking the sea front and a lovely pub with a good atmosphere. The room was lovely and quiet and clean and the beds were very comfortable which is the main thing

Everything was lovely but we didn’t have a breakfast menu in our room as you had to order the night before from the menu and book a time so we didn’t have breakfast there. On Booking.com it says there are chocolates in the room which there wasn’t but 2 biscuits each so although it didn’t bother us it might be a good idea not to advertise this and then if they are in the room it’s a bonus.

As the shower wasn’t working in the room we had booked, we were given 2 rooms next to each other. Both rooms were spacious and comfortable with amazing views of the sea. The mattresses were comfortable and we all slept well. Brilliant location and managed to park in front of the property.

The extractor wasn’t working which wasn’t an issue for us as we only stayed the 1 night. The television in the king room was purple and despite trying to sort, couldn’t get it much better. No food as there was staff sickness.

The property was very old with loads of character. It is situated yards from the sea with many rooms having sea views. The staff were very helpful, the breakfast good and the rooms more than adequate.

We visited the property during winter months so parking wasn’t an issue, but I think it would be more difficult during summer months. Quite a long distance from car to the bedroom - through 2 sets of doors, up stairs and down a very long corridor. However, once there, everything okay.

The location is fantastic, parking right across the street or on road directly in front of the pub. The bed was extremely comfortable. The view was brilliant.

Just a few little snags, back of nightstand drawers not affixed, a quilt cover that fit the quilt would be preferable (far too large), no plug socket at the side of the night stand for charging phones. Just small niggly things, wouldn't stop us returning.

Nice & close to the seafront & town. Free parking available. Bed very comfortable. Pleasant staff. Full english for breakfast was lovely. Room had everything i needed (toiletries & tea/coffee facilities.

Room small & dark. Generator outside my small window was noisy at times. Shower head wasn't moveable. But great for the one night we were there. Place all over looked tired, & could do with decorating.

Warmly and helpfully greeted by lady behind the bar (long dark hair) Well located near the town and beach. Room clean and bright with a good sea view. Good value for a seaview room.

Fine for a one nighter, was as expected. Was a little noisier later on with other guests returning to rooms a bit noisily but again, was not unexpected due to the establishment being a pub/hotel.

We had read reviews of people being cold and bathroom problems so were cautious. We were welcomed by a new manager at 3pm who had taken over the pub a month ago. She and the staff were very polite and kind. The room was very warm and shower was good! The pub is decorated well and cool photos of the railways that was where the car park is now. Was a clean room.

The mattress was clean but on the hard side.

Brad, Sam and Matt very helpful. This is a lovely friendly pub and nothing was to much trouble. Chef was great, good food . Nice beer garden. Only critiscm would be no disabled access to rooms but this is no fault if staff. It's an old building that could not accommodate this.

We were happy with everything.

The location and that it offered value for money. The evening menu was limited, but what we ordered was delicious. The room was large and comfortable.

The wifi was patchy at best but often simply did not connect. The TV signal was also weak but maybe caused by atmospherics. Other than those minor issues we enjoyed our stay.

It's got everything you need for a comfy night, close to restaurants and bars, does have a pub opposite and had live music in the Garden of The wash and tope and the pub across the street, we loved that and joined in, but if you don't want to stay up with the music best book elsewhere.

All great for the price.
