Close to the town centre, comfortable and well presented. The room was warm and nice and the bathroom really nice too. The bed was very comfortable and I loved the bathroom products they offered and the hot chocolate in the room :)

The facilities could have been more clean and the sauna was faulty / not working during our stay. There were not many members of staff probably because there weren't many guests on the day we went.

Beautiful hotel with great facilities Has a lift but very small and very slow… Our rooms were facing the front of the main busy road so it was a little noisy but a good size room and nice shower! Loved the eco friendly soap for body wash and shampoo! Breakfast was a little bit disappointing and have to book a time slot when you check in.

Due to the extreme weather, the room got very warm. We had to keep our windows open but because our room was facing the main road, the traffic didn’t stop till very late at night and started again very early in the morning, found it was quite hard to sleep at night. Also some people smoking outside the building and we could smell of cigarette smoke because again our windows open and we were on the first floor. Higher floor and facing back may not have problems.

If we could give Helen and her team 15 out of 10 we would. Our stay at this hotel was such a lovely experience and it is fantastic value for money in our opinion. All staff were exceptional, nothing being too much trouble for them. The breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice - we also stayed for an evening meal at the restaurant which was delicious. The standard double room we had was spotlessly clean, well decorated, and very functional. The swimming pool and spa were amazing - a real oasis of tranquility. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

No dislikes at all.

Lovely spacious twin king room on the first floor. We had everything we needed. Hairdryer, iron and a board, soap, bottles of water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits & free wifi, etc. Beautiful large towels and comfy beds and pillows. Brilliant pool, sauna, jacuzzi. Changing rooms and showers were clean. We stayed 2 nights, 15 minute walk into Kendal town centre. Thanks to all the staff. BTW. Breakfast was fabulous.

The only thing I didn't like was the bedside lamp didn't work and was broken. The lighting in room 106 was a bit dull. It needs some white light or daylight bulbs.

The facilities were excellent, very clean, and was a very calm/relaxed vibe around the place, the swimming area was lovely and very relaxing, the staff we're lovely we can't speak highly enough for how they are with you from the minute you get there, really kind friendly and helpful, the breakfast was nice too! We would most definitely stay again.

Nothing too much, the rooms and hallways were very warm we had the window open all the time and was still stuffy but that is a very minor thing as we loved everything about the place.

The rooms were lovely. Clean and all the facilities you would require. Odd lick of paint needed in places but overall good. Beds and pillows so comfortable.

he location was not so good and quite a way out. The breakfast was the only major issue. There was only one member of staff on. A receptionist. There was far too much for one person. This meant that tables did not get cleared and breakfast choices were not replenished so often nothing left depending on the time of visiting. On one occasion I chose Kippers. there was one kipper on a plate that had obviously been just left under a light and it was cindered. We think that the meals were often left under lights and hard eggs and scorching tomatoes. Need more staff for it to be a pleasant experience. Not the staffs fault but management I would say.

Very nice hotel on the edge of the Lakes, ideal for hiking and a walk into Kendal centre. The rooms was clean and big :-) The food excellent, the kippers for breakfast were spot on. We enjoyed using the pool and steam room, the main reason for booking.

The Covid restrictions used were OTT considering everything has changed since last year, tables were not laid and we had take our cutlery off the tray. We ate one evening when we arrived and the food was good but we decided to eat 300 metres down the road the other 2 evenings with no restrictions. We stayed 3 nights house keeping did not visit once, I had to ask reception for more tea and milk, we ran out of toilet paper on the last day. That said we would stay again, if these restrictions imposed last year were not being used. I appreciate staff can choose to wear a face mask but house keeping should visit rooms when guests are out. We stayed in Durham a few weeks ago and all we had to do is book a breakfast time.

Breakfast excellent

No hairdryer or phone in the bedroom I think this room was a converted store room. There was no signage to it and it was not on the hotel’s telephone system. If you are going to make a disabled access room wouldn’t you think a disabled person would need a phone to contact reception to help with difficulties? I was annoyed that although I pointed out that there was no hairdryer ((which meant I went into my performances with “day before”) that was not immediately rectified 😡 AND I couldn’t ring reception to ask for one to be brought up. Yes - UP to a disabled room. Granted there was a lift, but it was very small with a door so heavy I struggled to open it. Not good 👎

The hotel was lovely to look at. Looked clear. Very comfy to sit and relax

Took a while to cheak in no one there. Lady was at the bar serving and couldn't get over to do check ins. The room we booked was a standard double.. Very small room but was clean. The bathroom was very small. Door had to be closed in order to get neer toilet. Radiator was full of dust and there was black mold in the bath
