Very friendly staff -they even called us after our departure because we had forgotten a pair of pyjamas - the kids loved the cooked / buffet breakfast in the dedicated room and the kettle, teas/coffees and the biscuits in the bedroom. There is a restaurant which is quite convenient. The building and the equipment are aging a bit but it is part of the charm of the place. Well located in the village, easy to park nearby. Good location to go hiking around. Lovely hike in the Glen Cova valley.

Wifi is very limited in the room, need to be in the main room to have a proper connection. Family room is convenient and quite rare so good for the kids, then you have to have the same schedule as the beds are really next to each other.

Nice hotel with spacious rooms, very clean and recently renovated or decorated - everything looked quite new and fresh despite being in an old building. The staff were lovely and the bed was comfortable; big and clean bathroom; windows with views on a small cute garden. Very silent at night, too. There's a supermarket a few meters away and parking facilities around the city. The hotel has its own pub/restaurant, offering a good variation of dishes - great and convenient in a village with not so big an offer for dining out. All perfect, would totally recommend. I stayed here before going for a hike to Corrie Fee, which is half hour away by car.

Nothing, everything was great

a really nice little hotel with very pleasant staff. My room was basic but very clean although I think the mattress had seen better days. I was genuinely surprised by how good the food was. The burgers were excellent. The price of all accommodation is ridiculous at the moment and in the normal course of things, I would call this hotel overpriced. Having said that, in the current financial situation, this hotel represents good value for money.

A little run down in parts. One of the hooks was hanging out the wall in the bathroom.

The room, number 21, was superb. Cleaner than my own house ! I was fortunate perhaps being allocated a room that was occupancy for 4 adults. Clean, tidy, various accessories and equipment, coffee facilities, toilet and shower spotless. Staff on arrival helpful and willing. I didn't order breakfast as I felt £65 was sufficient for the room etc. I enjoyed the evening meal the night before in a busy bar.

Muzak being played in the bar area which nobody listens too as everyone was talking to their friends. It' so unnecessary especially when there was a wide screen pop video screen being shown at the same time. Car parking is 250 yards away due to pub yard being turned into astro-turf tables for sitting out in because of Covid but car-park was safe enough. The town looked well behaved and orderly with no gangs of youths hanging about.

Rooms were nicely decorated in clean, modern and fresh greys/whites. The room was clean, came with fresh, fluffy white towels, kettle, hairdryer and the essentials your need. The shower was great and the bed was very comfy. We slept very well. The restaurant downstairs was very handy and the food was nice. It had a separate gluten free menu which was ideal for us. The breakfast was adequate with cereals, hot drinks, juice etc and hot food made to order. Some breakfast gluten free options also available but choice is limited. Overall the hotel had everything we needed and we would definitely return here.

The car parks were a quite hard to find when you don't know the area and they are a short walk to the hotel but it was not a real issue. Couldnt really find fault with this hotel.

Loved the extra tea/coffee table too if u needed anything extra during your stay. Breakfast lovely. Dog friendly. Great find…Would highly recommend. Located well…60mins to cairngorms or visit towns/city’s in east of Scotland.

We had a lovely big room with 2 double beds and plenty of space for our dog and baby. Good amenities, everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was lovely and overall everything was clean and to a nice standard.

Nothing particularly, we had to bring our own travel cot as the hotel don't provide one (this is stated prior to booking so no big deal) which was a bit of extra lugging from the car but it didn't detract from our stay.

Excellent sized family room and well equipped/provisioned. Superb breakfast, which included delicious haggis!! Helpful/honest bar/check-in staff (who brought a bag, that we had left in the bar, to our room). Easy to check-in/out. Good value for money. Well done Airlie Arms.

We booked in as a one night stopover. Staff were exceptional, very attentive and genuine, nothing too much bother. The room was clean, and adequately sized for the price. We had dinner, which was delicious and could tell that even on a Wednesday night that this was a popular venue in Kirriemuir. Good central location on the high street.

Unfortunately doesn't have a car park although there are public car parks available very nearby. The car park we used was very close and free at the time so there were no extra charges.
