Good location, close to everything for a good experience. I went mid-week so fortunately, I wasn't bothered too much by the noise from local bars etc. Staff, especially the breakfast team, were cordial and always willing to help. The breakfast really sets you up for the day. Room, though basic, was clean, and perfect for a short stay.

I know this was probably due to being a mid-week, but the bar always seemed quiet and lacking atmosphere. There were better places to drink. As I went in the middle of a Beatles festival, I assumed McCartneys bar would have had live music. However, the staff were professional. I was surprised that the bar didn't offer cooked food in the evenings, though. They certainly have the amenities to do so.

The hotel is in the heart of the city. The station and all attractions are within walking distance. The huge shopping area is a stones throw away. The hotel was comfortable and the staff were excellent.

Unfortunately the Hotel is also in the middle of the area of the city we’re all the bars and clubs are. Consequently, it can be very noisy well into the early hours of the morning. This is not the fault of the hotel and there is nothing that can be done about it. If you want a quiet time, stay somewhere else.

Great discrete independent hotel in central Liverpool. Décor may seem a little dated, but the bathrooms seem to have been updated to some of the rooms. I've stayed here a number of times. Hanover is very professionally run, the rooms are scrupulously clean, tidied daily, and tea coffees biscuits are replenished daily too, its a hotel that punches well above its weight. Breakfast may be a little limited but if you want a classic Full English, it simply cannot be beaten by any hotel I've stayed in, including five star establishments. The staff are lovely and friendly.

Sometimes it can get very noisy depending in the room location so check in advance.

Easy to find, bus dropped us right at the door. Very central for absolutely everything. Entire premises was spotless. Staff were brilliant, great with communication and information about the area. Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely bathroom. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was really good, plenty of continental and no hassle changing items on the hot breakfast.

Our room was situated at the front so traffic noise woke us up, next time we stay we'll request a room at the back. Its not a big problem, we are just unfamiliar with traffic noise as we live in the country

Only a few metres walk from the main bus station (= One Bus Station; I arrived by National Express from Manchester Airport; also all main train stations are nearby), I was very happy with the hotel's location that allowed me to easily discover all major attractions on foot. Upon my arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist who apologised right away that due to the place being fully booked, he could only offer me a single room on the noisier side of the hotel. Even though, I had already prepared myself with earplugs due to the number of pubs in the area and some of the reviewers having complained about partying noise, the receptionist's comment made me worry a bit. It didn't turn out to be that bad, though, but I must say that my earplugs were definitely needed. I stayed for two nights from a Monday to Wednesday and was naive enough to think that pubs aren't frequented that much in the beginning of a work week. Be aware that this is not the case for Liverpool, where each night appears to be the heyday of drinking. I liked my room, the bathroom with the big tub and the fact that the room service did a nice job on cleaning. Also I appreciated the water boiler in my room alongside with the complimentary tea bags and cookies. For breakfast, which is included, they offered an English Breakfast at the hotel's pub downstairs where you can also help yourself to cereals, fruits, coffee, tea and orange juice. Since I'm vegetarian, they were kind enough to prepare a breakfast minus meat for me, and both the lady on duty and the cook were really nice. For the price I paid, I consider this place a really good choice and would definitely book it again.

The area can indeed be a bit noisy with all the pubs around, but as long as you take earplugs with you, it's totally fine and not a deal breaker for me.

The location was perfect! It was at the heart of Liverpool, in a very lively street, so I was walking distance from anything I wanted to see. The staff was nice and efficient. The room was simple but it had everything you need for a good stay. It was very clean and the bathroom was spacious! But the English breakfast was definitely the star of my stay: It's served in the bar of the hotel and it's so so SO good! The chef makes it for you when you arrive and you can ask full or remove what you don't like. Again, staff serving breakfast there was very nice. Would recommend!

It wasn't a problem for me but other reviews have stated that you can hear the music from a nightclub close to the hotel and it's true. So if you're a light sleeper or don't like repetitive noises, you might not want to book a room here. Again, wasn't a problem for me but it's good to know in case it is for you!

The comfort and cleanliness were fine. The location was central for Liverpool tourism. The people were brilliant. Breakfast was worthy. 20% discount on Q Park helps too especially as it is 100 yards away.

The noise in room 2 meant I didn't sleep very well. The hotel did say the music stopped at 11 and the bar shuts at 12 and it did run over by 30 minutes or so which was fine but the music from other bars went on until the early hours. I enjoyed the experience of the stay but would ask for a room on the opposite side to room 2.

The location, of the hotel, was excellent for getting to the Epstein Theatre. The area was vibrant, with lots of night-life, shops, cafes and restaurants. Staff were caring and helpful. The room was lovely, being beautifully decorated and characterful. There was a hospitality-tray in the room. The shower-cabinet was spacious, the sink was a good size and the toilet worked well. I loved the red splashbacks in the ensuite area. Breakfast was delicious, cooked to order and very plentiful. The hotel was a 15 minutes walk from Queen Square Bus Station !

The location is excellent. The room was clean. The wifi worked very well.

I have read it is noisy and so it was. For me it was not so dramatic, but be aware noise here is lead to a new level and take it into account when booking. It is not the street, not the cars, it is people singing in a bar below till 4 in the morning with the feeling they are in your room. And additionally, not a hotel responsibility though, those I've heard were very modestly gifted with talent to sing which was 'compensated' with energy and power of voice.

Staff were amazing. Shout out to Dawn in reception who was just lovely. Arrived early and had our room ready so we could check in. V v central. Breakfast was amazing. Great value and we will definitely stay there again if we go back to Liverpool. I would love to have the shower back in my house. Great power and remained same temp. The bus for the airport, no 500 and 86a are straight across the street. What more could u ask for.

It is in a noisier part of town. Just have ear plugs. Its not from bar downstairs. Its from local venue
