I really like the vibe of this place, and the high standards of cleanliness. Everything was so clean and the bed was really comfortable, with incredibly clean and crisp white sheets. I was initially given a room on a lower floor, where there happened to be quite a noisy group staying, but the manager was really helpful and immediately put me two floors up when I spoke with him, and I had a completely quiet night.

Breakfast was OK but expensive for what was provided (continental)

Close enough to Matthew street which is all I was very really worried about as I’m a big fan of the Beatles! Staff where very friendly, I loved the live music they had! I sat and watched them for a while, and I loved the welcome cocktail! I don’t drink much usually but it was free so thought why not, and it was really delicious! I loved how they always had fresh water jugs at reception with slices of cucumber or mint in it. They had taxi services ready to order if anyone needed and a grab and go stand with fresh sandwiches and rolls etc I really enjoyed my stay here! The beds where comfy and had a curtain to cover the sides, and the ensuite bathroom was really big and easy to use.

I really can’t think of something worth mentioning! I enjoyed my stay and it was worth the price I paid.

The building is amazing. I remember it as the YMCA when I first arrived in Liverpool 26 years ago. The building looks even better with a refurb. The whole place is beautiful. The location is perfect for going on a night out. Car parking is right opposite the selina, please make sure you arrive before 8pm as that's when the car park closes and reopens early the next day. £6.20 for overnight stay. You won't need your car to go anywhere.the hotel is placed almost directly from the city centre and there's plenty of buses if you need to go to other locations. The rooms are lovely them pillows and duvet are extremely soft, comfortable, and squidy. Was like laying on a cool marshmallow. The only issue I had was that the curtains didn't fully close. So whilst hungover, the light in the room was distracting. We were on the 5th floor. There is a lift but would only fit 3 people in at a time. It's a quiet place. You can't hear anyone banging about or shouting. Staff are on hand 24hrs.The decor is fab our room was stocked with fresh towels it was spotless clean and the shower pressure is good. Would definitely go back again and would recommend it to anyone. X

There was nothing I could fault other than the curtains getting stuck onto The rail.

location is spot on!! dog friendly, so modern and clean, amazing prices for how close it is to the city centre.

you can hear every noise in the corridor, on a Thursday night we heard all the doors closing, people chatting in the corridor etc, this made our dog unsettled and she was pacing around all night on guard, so on a Friday or Saturday I can’t imagine this is ideal! that being said, if you’re looking for somewhere to lay your head for a couple of hours, central with good pricing, it’s probably a good shout!

Bar/restaurant and downstairs entertainment area was amazing. Luggage storage room for arrival prior to check in. Comfy beds. Great staff. Great location with multi storey parking opposite and short walk to train station.

Asked for 8 bed room with 2 bathrooms and confirmed this multiple times with the selina team, however, they did not provide this and the manager was not apologetic even though this threw our tight timeline out. Luckily the other activities pre -booked were able to shift our bookings back.

Right across the road from a secure car park, £10 for 48hrs parking. Short walk to Liverpool One and all the major shops. Close to nightlife but far away enough that there isn't any noise from clubs/bars (at least on a Thursday night, can't say the weekends are the same). Friendly staff. The room is a nice size with plenty of space for luggage and bags. Free drink was a lovely touch.

Was a bit noisy with doors closing and could hear people walking about but it's an old building. We were lucky and didn't have other noisy guests to wake us but could imagine it might be a problem on the weekend or if there is a big event on.

The restaurant located on the ground floor has a spacious seats as well as electric sockets on the wall so I could charge my mobile phone while I have my meal there even after I checked out.

Bed was too soft and uncomfortable. There was no light switch for the bathroom seperated from the room light so it was very awkward to go to the bathroom at night.

We stayed in a 6 man dorm and it had what we needed. Comfortable beds with curtains to give ur own privacy. Had en suite bathroom. Not the Hilton but what us expected from a hostel. Beds were really comfy. Staff was Excellent and friendly.

Only issue was the drainage on shower wasn't great so bottom of shower filled up. Not good when 6 of u and have to stand in water that's already been used. The dorms could do with a table or chair if u wanted to sit down

Wi-Fi working only in the room, nowhere else Even if the towels were changed, the trash was not taken during our stay ( 4 days/ 3 nights) Mold near the windows, on the ceiling Sometimes it was a little bit hard to find someone at the recption or close by. When there, the guys at the reception were super nice.

My favourite hostel in Liverpool, stayed here many times over the years. Great location (central, but distant enough from the noisy nightlife areas). Clean, safe and comfortable. Nice friendly staff. Was very fortunate to recieve an upgrade and stay in a private room instead of a dorm. Will definitely stay here again, as I often come to Liverpool.

The kitchen seemed a bit neglected (there were no cups, so I had to make tea in a glass, no tea towels to wipe spillages, no tea/coffee/sugar on the free shelf), but the important thing is, it was clean enough.
