The breakfast was lovely everyday and bought to your table. Staff on both reception and in bars were amazing, especially Alicia on the reception and the young lad on the lobby bar whose birthday it was on the 23rd August whilst we were there. The room was very large and clean. Beautiful sea and promenade view. Car park was easily accessible. We had a baby with us and everyone was so welcoming and lovely. We went to the night entertainment and bingo and it was a lovely atmosphere l. Would definitely stay here again.
Only one lift at the back, but not much of an inconvenience as it was a short walk around the corner to the promenade.

The staff at check in were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Check in is at 4pm which ideally couldn’t be a hour earlier, I was offered 1pm check in for £10 but didn’t complete it in time so they couldn’t offer it on the day (my fault). The room was ready and directions to the room were given. There is a lift, we chose to tackle the 7 flights of stairs. We were top floor with a fab sea view. Staff were really helpful. Room was clean, tidy and the bed was sooooo comfy, pillows were amazing too. We had a bonus sea view too. We didn’t part take in the entertainment as it wasn’t quite to our liking. We had a lovely nights sleep. Breakfast was fast and convenient, not the best breakfast I’ve had but it started the day. Parking was available at the rear of the hotel for free. Limited spaces available.
Just an observation - The hotel is very grand but a little dated. Current scaffolding is situated for some renovations outside.

The hotel is in a great location.Staff is very friendly and professional. Ground floor, bar, reception and lounge all nicely decorated. We had a few drinks at the bar - very relaxing place with quiet music in the background. Not overpriced, which was a positive surprise. Our room was on the third floor, compact size, bathroom could have been bigger but we managed just fine.Room very clean, comfy beds.Third floor decor differs from the ground floor- in needs of a refurb, but this didn't bother us at all.Breakfast was just ok. I would return mainly because of the atmosphere (staff) and location.
Not a complaint more of a suggestion: small TV placed on the desk difficult to watch when in bed, would do with a bigger one. Bathroom although not dirty would benefit from a deep clean( corners, cabin).

It was central location on the promenade, car parking at the back of hotel. The towels in the bathroom were white, soft and fluffy. The bedrooms had all essential items for a comfortable stay. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
First impressions was the massive scaffolding all around the property, which did not affect us staying Saturday night. Hotel older style and due a refurbishment. Breakfast was waitress service however would prefer self service as felt our waitress was unhappy. Took our order but never asked what type of eggs , ended up with fried which we do not eat.

This is a dated Hotel obviously going through renovations, but its welcoming, comfortable and clean. Our room at the back was quiet, beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious, with plenty of hot water. Parking was a bonus. Plenty of nice seating areas around the bar and overlooking the sea. Breakfast was good and served at the table. Very near shops, restaurants and the theatre. Its staff on reception, dining room and bar are a credit to this hotel. We only stayed one night, but it was great, thank you.
Nothing to dislike.

A beautiful Victorian hotel with all its original mouldings and features. The dining room is spectacular and the service was really quick and efficient, with friendly courteous staff. Reception staff were excellent and incredibly helpful; checking in and our was really easy. The room was a good size with a newly fitted ensuite with shower. Everything was very clean ond well maintained. The bar had a great atmosphere and it was great to be able to play snooker there too. We really rnjoyed our stay.
Everything met or exceeded our expectations

The staff were helpful, friendly and efficient in the way they carried out their duties. The building, although Victorian, has been restored to its original splendour with the decor and carpets well maintained. Really good sea views from the bar and able to walk straight out of the front door on to the seafront. Meals good with table service and we were served very quickly. Good choice of menu.
Very little to dislike really, but we did find the ballroom very enclosed and claustrophobic. We found it very hot and stuffy. The entertainment was not to our taste but those there were obviously enjoying it, so each to his own.

Very clean booked for disabled couple but although the room was very nice it only had a grab rail after stepping up into the shower with no shower seat.
Disabled access at rear of property was very dark and uninviting. Also ground near door uneven. Wasn’t able to take disability scooters inside the hotel.

Staff are amazing, helpful and friendly. Check in and parking brilliant, even during the Extravaganza! Room and hotel in general was very clean
evening entertainment was bingo and a few songs by (who I presumed to be), one of the coach drivers. Felt like Sunday night in a nursing home, ....however, had a lovely chat and a few drinks with one of the ladies after her friends grabbed their zimmers and left her on her own when 10:30pm bedtime came! It was a hot weekend, no air-con and the windows, (apart from one small one), were screwed! closed

Room 10 although the lower ground floor was spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower was absolutely brilliant. Free parking behind the hotel was an added bonus. If you are looking for a sea view, this is not the room for you. We found all the staff to be cheerful helpful and extremely hard working. We felt welcome and well catered for in every respect. The staff in the dining room couldn't do enough for you, and always with a smile. Eva the supervisor was flitting about making sure everyone was catered for quickly ,efficiently, with making time for a chat. Nice to have a full size snooker table for a game if you can pot a few! Entertainment in the evening ,ideal for more mature guests, with a bingo session in the middle. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with you. Thankyou. Joy and Phil Hyde.
