The hotel is elegant, up to date, clean and has a fantastic location. We didn't need to move the car or use public transport for 4 days.The room is spacious, much bigger than average hotel rooms, the windows are 100 % sound proof and the beds are very comfortable. The staff were amazing, from reception to restaurant and room maintenance. Breakfast was delicious and fresh with plenty of options. Breakfast hours are extended during school holidays and in the weekend, which is great. The spa area was clean and open till 9 pm (gym is open 24 hrs).

There is no parking on site. You need to park in a nearby multi-story car park which costs £10 per 24 hours.

I was upgraded to a kings room, the shower tray and toilet area was grubby and didn’t look to clean, also noticed there was popcorn or food of some sorts behind sofa bed

Stayed here years ago, and i remember it being brilliant then, hence the rebooking, and we weren't dissappinted. Fantastic hotel, based in a brilliant location, the rooms were spotlessly clean (something we are very particular about) very modern and the newly refurbished gin bar in the lounge was extremely comfortable, the only thing missing from the bar we would suggest is some background music, it did remind us of sitting in a weatherspoons at one point hearing everybody else's craic but it wasn't a spoiler. It is very well priced for the service and will always have Crowne Plaza as the first choice for our next stay in Newcastle.

I loved everything, I especially loved the fact that Ringtons beverages were used in the rooms and in the dining areas. Breakfast had an excellent amount of choice and staff were very attentive.

I thought the evening menu wasn't great due to a lack of choice and so opted not to dine at the hotel which was a shame. I also witnessed a manager being very rude and unfair to their staff during breakfast when they accidently spilled something on the floor. The other member of staff was offering comfort (I assume the member of staff just started) and was helping to clean up when a manager rudely commented that it did not take two. The breakfast area was not busy and was no reason as to why the member of staff couldn't have supported their colleague.

Star at reception was AMAZING! Very helpful and warm welcome. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. The room was very clean. The food was delicious.

The cost of the food was quite high to be honest. We couldn't connect to Netflix from our phone to mirror and there was no app for this on the TV. Or hdmi connection..this left us with only the basic satellite channels and there wasn't much suited to us. When we ordered room service, the waitress couldn't fit our cutlery on the same tray or drinks in order to be delivered at the same time. This meant we ended up waiting another 20 minutes or so to eat our food by the time they came back up.

Finding empty bottles of complementary soaps, moisturiser, running out of toilet rolls, and having to ask for more towels. Finding the housekeeping staff had not closed the room door - we just pushed it open, not needing our key card. It seems that housekeeping staff either aren't allocated the time to do the job properly or are not being supervised properly and are letting down the good work of the rest of the hotel staff. Our stay was a week, and the hand moisturiser wasn't topped up all week even though we brought it to reception to remedy

Lovely hotel with stylish and spacious open areas, and it's exceptionally clean, the staff were really lovely and are really attentive - all of them have a smile for you. The spa facilities and pool is a lovely relaxing bonus space. Just a 10 minute walk takes you to the quayside or city centre, but it's in a peaceful corner of the city where you won't be disturbed at night. Perfect for travelling by car with a public car park that directly links to the hotel - and a pretty reasonable fee of £10 for 24 hours if you are a guest. Also 5 minutes from the train station of travelling by train - perfect location for visiting Newcastle if you don't want the nightlife, are a family, or on business.

We stayed on a particularly busy evening where the hotel was fully booked so breakfast felt a little chaotic - the staff forgot to give us a hot drink we ordered and full sets of cutlery. They also didn't check our room number, and there was a fee to include breakfast. The breakfast itself was wonderful! No complaints, just feedback: it wouldn't be reasonable to expect paying guests to book a time slot for breakfast in order to manage the tables better, even just to help with setup and cleaning instead of being reactive to it. This was the only observation in an otherwise fantastic experience!

Breakfast was THE BEST!!! Whatever you wanted they had it. The choice was fabulous. Continental breakfast plus buffet hot food. Waiting staff were great at looking after us.

The only one thing I wasn’t happy about was there was an open jar of peanut butter on the breakfast table. For any one with a severe anaphalaxis to peanuts this was extremely dangerous. Allergens are not just ingestion they can be inhaled too via proteins in the air. Just a caution for anyone with a peanut allergy. The pool was on the cold side and the changing rooms were cold too!

The location was ideal for what we wanted and the parking was easy to find and use. The staff are friendly and have excellent knowledge, they were more than happy to help. The bedroom was tidy and clean, we were happy with the size. Breakfast in the morning was great, plenty of seating and no waiting. It was a relaxed environment and there were plenty of choices for food.

The beds were not as comfortable as we would have liked, I felt the mattress was old and outdated. The pillows were not comfortable at all as they were thin and not well-padded.

The room was much better equipped than expected, the mini fridge an unexpected bonus for chilling drinks, a very well catered for hospitality tray, plenty of shower accessories was wonderful as I'd forgotten some of mine. Nice decor, good bathroom lighting. Ironing facilities also a great touch that I didn't expect and a safe, I actually felt like I was in a much grander hotel than what I'd paid for. Staff were very polite and helpful. We didn't have breakfast so can't comment on the food/restaurant but I'd definitely return, very impressed.
