We paid £540 for a superior king room for three nights&four days, breakfast included and a mini bar in the room! In the mini bar you got 2 single serve of bottles of each red and white wine each was 14% I think, which was restocked daily along with 2 bottles of beer, 2 bottles of water&2 bottles of Pepsi. The bed was extremely comfortable, the water pressure on the shower is well worth getting up in the morning. Standing under it for 1 minute just gets rid of all the stress or worries you have. The shower just hits different. The outside patio, with a glass or 4 of the complimentary wine with a good book in the sun, just makes trip worth while. You can pay £8.50 for 100 balls and an iron golf club(not into golf so unsure of the proper names!) for the driving range which provided me and my partner an hour and half filled of laughter with how bad we was at golfing, this experience we shared together was amazing. All of the other golfers around us didn’t judge us on how bad we were, they just offered us tips on how to stand, to practice swing before you hit the ball and offered us golf balls out of their own bucket to get the hang of it which was really nice and made us feel very welcome. The staff at the hotel were very attentive and happy to help with any enquiries we had. The food we had was delicious, worth every penny, buying the bottle of wine with your food at £20-£40 a bottle makes more sense than buying a glass at £10-£20. I’m not sure just because we’re young we go the extra mile. Me&my partner spent our 3 year anniversary here and it was made extremely special for us and we can’t wait to return, for the friendly staff! We hope to make our next trip for our 3&1/2 year anniversary just because of how much closer it brought us. It really is a special experience, wish we could return sooner but working for NHS makes it hard to get the time off, is the only thing stopping us!

Under the dresser could have been a little cleaner but we are not fussy on that short of stuff! We enjoyed our long weekend there. However there was a crushed eye shadow shade under there, but again nothing that can’t be a quick fix!

The location is ideal for visiting Norwich with a park and ride not far away. Room was spacious and had a comfortable large bed. Use of leisure facilities is a definite reason to visit.

Breakfast was average, items needed topping up quicker considering it was so quiet.

I am disabled and the room I got after one night was very suitable and comfortable, the staff were universally very kind and attentive. I had to ask the diningroom staff to get me a chair with arms and at breakfast to fetch my coffee and they were always very happy to do all that no matter how busy. The hotel could do with some upgrading but it so happened that it suited me.

I found the long distances I had to walk to get about the hotel (through many non-automatic doors) with my Rollator a bit hard going but staff and other guests were very helpful and I learnt how to get around. I would have liked some Room Service but I understand there was a staff shortage.

The room was very comfortable and certainly large enough for a short stay. The swimming pool and steam room were very nice and we made good use of them. The gym seemed large and well equipped although we didn't use it. We ate in both the bar and the main restaurant in the evenings and the food was good both times although the staff were very young and seemed inexperienced but they did their best.

Breakfast was disappointing. Firstly in that there was no scrambled eggs available only very soft-fried eggs which seemed to have only briefly seen the frying pan and on the second morning there were virtually no staff. We waited several minutes to check in and were just told 'take any table over there' which meant one of us then had to guard the table as the other got coffee otherwise we might have lost it. No-one was serving coffee it was help yourself from a coffee machine for which we queued again. No-one was clearing tables so there were dirty plates everywhere and when we finished there must have been over 20 people waiting to book in with no-one on reception for breakfast. Otherwise the food was very good.

Stayed before nice place to stay and would go back

We were allocated a room in a wing which was that hot it was unbearable, fan not working we asked to be moved , as we knew the hotel was not very full. receptionist very unhelpful, reluctantly offered a room across the hallway, this one had air con and a fan. Neither worked. The saving grace were the two young ladies from housekeeping, who told us everyone was complaining and asked on our behalf to be moved again. This time even though receptionist was not helpful again we were moved into a different part of the hotel and this made the rest of our stay very enjoyable. We did not eat in the restaurant or the bar as the choice in restaurant was poor and expensive and the bar menu wasn’t much better. Breakfast was very good

Beautiful architecture. Some lovely areas to enjoy. Decent swimming pool and room was large enough for a single night stay. Good breakfast with enough choice and quality for omnivores (not sure about vegetarian or vegan though) - coffee could be better but liked the choice of juices. Staff were helpful and friendly and despite the hotel being fairly busy it felt relaxed and spacious. Bathroom was clean and well appointed. Tea/coffee provided in room nicely done and hairdryer/iron and ironing board a nice touch of you need it.

Neither sauna was hot enough to raise a sweat - our room was hotter than the dry sauna! The pool and sauna close early so no relaxed evening sessions. The room was missing the fridge. One light didn't work and all the lights apart from the bedside are connected so no ability to have a chosen combination. The room was stifling hot when we arrived with no way of losing this temperature (tiny little window and ceiling fan not working). We only stayed for one night so I am sure staff would have helped us with these problems if we had talked to them.

Location of the hotel was beautiful and well kept. The grounds were lovely and inviting. Staff were friendly and polite. Food, both breakfast and dinner, were delicious with a great variety of options provided. Dining was very comfortable, and never felt rushed.

The room was a little tired, the bathroom particularly with panels and paint coming away. The room was not quite cleaned when we arrived, with my wife having to return some dirty glasses, missed by housekeeping, that had been left over by the previous guests The walls seemed thin, with us able to hear neighbouring guests talk, listen to music and argue with almost perfect clarity.

Very welcoming staff, our dog was also made welcome, rather than just tolerated. I guess the subterranean room with a view of the wall opposite was a 'dog-friendly' room, as a bit dark, but given the hot weather, it was cool and suited us, when others were complaining about the heat in their rooms. Lovely well kept grounds, lots of outside seating. Large restaurant, accepting late booking. Very 'buzzy', with lots going on, but no noise at night. Good sized pool and health facilities. The resort is near enough the city for quick access, but far enough out to be quiet and countrified.

Rather gloomy grey corporate interiors, which may be fashionable, and designed not to offend, but are rather depressing and please no-one. Weird art works which have nothing to do with the area. Bad signage - the buttons inside the lift to indicate floors do not match those on the walls outside. The fire instructions were for the wrong rooms, and could result in disaster if followed.

The Pool and steam room, the sauna was room temperature. Excellent gym facilities.

The lounge is now a cafe style area, this is a large hotel with very little lounge area, so we spent most of the evenings in our room. Which was disappointing. We were in a king deluxe room, 154, it would have been nice to have had robes and slippers, a luggage stand and a second chair as the room is big enough to accommodate. I used the chair, my husband had to sit on the bed, not ideal. We have stayed at Dunston several times as we like the relaxed atmosphere however, the room was looking a little tired with a mis-match of furniture, office chair at dressing table, coffee table does not go with anything a tub chair which looked dated. It wouldn't take a lot to modernise the rooms.

Room was large, warm& a comfortable bed. It was clean esp the bathroom & liked the eco setting on the towel rail as most are boiling or nothing Staff were friendly in all areas

No fridge, which if you need to keep medicine cool is a possible problem. Doesn't need to be big. The public areas were freezing and it felt like AC was on! Temp was -4 outside. The side of the bath is really high so you could struggle to get on for the shower. The Brasserie felt uninviting as a space for breakfast. The cooked food at 7:30am ( open at 7am) felt like it had been sitting for ages so bit dried out.
