The location of The Lobster Pot is the best for a visit to Skomer, being on the same road and only approx 2mile from Martin's haven embarkation point. Our host could not have done more for us ie keeping our frozen food in their freezer and providing fresh milk to take on our trip. The rooms are a little tired looking and no luxuries but perfectly adequate for our needs. Our evening meals were very good, vegies are well catered for here. We stayed on a Friday evening and there was an open mic held in the bar for all the local musicians and singers. A very enjoyable experience with a real community feel. Breakfast was cooked to order, plentiful and served from 7am, plenty of time to digest before leaving for Skomer. The current hosts have only be there for 6wks and are really making an effort to run a successful business. We will definitely be back next year whilst visiting Skomer.
As previously stated, the property could do with a bit of an update/refurb but this is a new venture for the current hosts and I wish them good luck for the future.

Very clean. Plenty of tea, coffee, bathroom accessories, etc. Bottled water provided. Evening meal choice was good and plentiful - need to like chips! Staff very helpful and went out of their way to make stay pleasant.
Breakfast could be improved, but was made up for with free picnic lunch. Mattress a little lumpy. Landlord had only taken over pub 18 weeks previously and admitted they were still finding their feet over some items.

There was a huge choice for breakfast which you ordered the night before. The host was really accommodating to our request to have a packed breakfast sandwich as we didn’t have time to sit down due to catching the boat to Skomer. The bar meals were amazing but the portions enormous! The room was really well equipped, clean and comfortable with lots of extras like biscuits, bottled water, toiletries and hot drinks. The room was spacious and quiet so we had a good night’s sleep with great pillows.
I missed not having a hairdryer but overall it didn’t make much difference as it was warm enough to dry naturally. We didn’t ask for one but there could have been one available.

The room was exceptionally clean, the bed was so comfortable, the pillows were better than the one I have at home. The bathroom had everything I needed and the refreshments were very well stocked. As I was leaving early before breakfast was served the staff put a selection of cereals, breakfast bars, milk, orange juice and yoghurt in a chiller outside my room for me. The meal I had in the bar was excellent and definitely value for money.
I had nothing to complain about, Everything was there that I needed, I would recommend staying there to anyone.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was beyond what we were expecting, incredibly clean and cosy, loads of amenities provided (I especially liked the hot chocolate!) and incredibly comfortable beds. The breakfast was also delicious and plentiful.
Honestly everything was great! The bathroom could have been larger and the lighting a bit better but that's minimal.

Had a great veggie chilli with half and half chips and rice Good location for coast path Good beers Pool table and jukebox Friendly owners The owner knew we needed to leave early for coast path to make a causeway crossing and he had our breakfast on the table just after 7am which was much appreciated There is a twin room which a lot of pubs don't have these days
Rooms maybe getting a bit dated but no issues

Perfect accommodation for Skomer Island visit and walking the Pembrokeshire coastal path. Very pleasant and helpful owners. Good breakfast.
There was nothing . Owners are relatively new and adapting to the ever changing pressures of running a large pub/restaurant/accommodation. They are working incredibly hard to meet these demands. Possibly a smaller evening menu would be of benefit .

quiet room helpful and friendly staff. We wanted breakfast earlier and it was provided when requested. The room was quiet despite being in pub. Good selection of free toiletry's
Even mealtimes were shorter than expected. But it is a country pub so not unexpected. They offered to put up something cols for when we got back.

Visiting Skomer Island so the location was excellent. Lobster Pot offered a pack lunch for the trip over to Skomer Island. All the staff are friendly and made me feel welcome. The room was catered for my needs and bed was very comfortable. Worth paying for evening meals as the food was there is fantastic.

This inn is the perfect location from which to visit Skomer Island and see the puffins! It is way in the countryside in Pembrokeshire. The rooms were nicely updated and very clean.
If there was one way to improve, I’d suggest some proteins or fresh fruit with the breakfast. But really, we liked everything!
