the bed was very comfortable and was bigger than a double, Pillows were really comfortable as well. there was a bath with a shower over, and plenty of liquid soap and also hair and shower gel. very large bath towels. plenty of tea, coffee and milk in the room. also a tv with plenty of stations. I had a drink in the bar in the evening, it wasnt busy, I was too late to order food, but the food prices are very reasonable. on the night I stayed it was curry night, so a curry and a drink would be 7.99

We stayed with our grandson for one night in a family room which was huge. There was a bath with a shower over which we all liked. Lashings of hot water, heated towel rail and bath sheets rather than bath towels. We had an excellent evening meal in the attached pub/restaurant and a lovely, 'all you can eat' breakfast the next morning.

Our only criticism was the unruly children running around the restaurant. We understand that the restaurant had a 'Whacky Warehouse' and is geared towards families with children but to allow them to run around throwing balls from the ball pit was a bit off putting while trying to eat your meal. It would be a good idea to have a separate restaurant eating area for families so the children do not ruin it for other diners.

The hotel was quiet, warm and comfortable, with a spacious room. Useful, as I travel everywhere by bicycle, so plenty of space in the room to keep it safe. The room had a bath, which I like when I stay in hotels, especially this time, during my stay at Innlodge, as my time there was all about having some relaxation and 'me' time. I had breakfast included in my deal as well, which was very enjoyable. In addition to all this, I found all the staff to be very helpful and friendly, so top marks from me! I will happily stay there again sometime. :-)

There really wasn't anything to dislike. I really was 100 percent happy throughout my stay. :-)

Great family room with proper single beds for tall teens.lot's of space and feels almost like 2 rooms.Handy for port.Friendly staff.onsite bar and restaurant.Can buy snacks and drinks Inc beer and wine at reception(all chilled)Doesn't feel like a chain,more like a traditional hotel

There is only one bedside table at double bed.Lots of room, so there no problem with space to put one in.Had to put glasses and phone on floor.No sockets on single bed wall for chargers.Really squeaky double bed.These are small things easily sorted and would happily stay again.

The staff member who greeted us was amazing. I had booked a twin room but upon arrival the staff member went above and beyond. She noticed I was disabled and my original room was on the second floor and there were only stairs no lift. Without asking she upgraded me to another larger family room on the ground floor at no extra charge. This made my day fantastic and will never stay anywhere else when I'm in Portsmouth again.

The decor is a little tired and in need of an upgrade. Also a smart TV would be worth installing then I could have streamed from my TV subscription sites.

We liked the location: the really friendly and helpful receptionists:, the room, despite needing a bit of attention to the decor and fittings was spacious and well-equipped: it was a big improvement on Premier Inns and Travel Lodges;because the staff tried hard to please

The restaurant meals were good and inexpensive - it was just the choices that were a problem. All the hand-pumped beer was unavailable and some of the fizzy stuff on tap as well. Many of the menu options were also unavailable. But the service was excellent. My wife was very disappointed with the coffee at breakfast.

Some parts of the hotel could do with a refresh and maintenance. No maintenance staff being available over the weekend to fix the doorstop which was coming away from the door frame. Because of this we didn't bother reporting a few other issues and left these until we had to leave a day earlier than expected. (Doorstop, Shower not turning off fully, extractor fan runs on for too long, right hand window unable to open and left hand window handle loose. Still waiting for a phone call back as to whether we left a phone charger in the room or not.

I really liked that there was a well-sized work desk for me to work on, plus a bedside table, because they were honestly the most important things that I needed during my stay. The TV was also nice even though I didn’t really use it, I could see other people appreciating that a lot.

The shower was a bit confusing to figure out on my own and I had to ask reception how it worked. Thankfully the hotel staff were really nice and one helped me to get it turned on. Afterwards I couldn’t seem to reduce the heat of the water coming from the shower head.

The facilities and hotel didn’t match the price we paid. I was expecting basic and got wonderful. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.

The lay out of the room. The two single beds were near the door of which I couldn’t secure from my two young children trying to escape. Which also once in bed we couldn’t watch tv because that was in their section of the hotel room. Also my two children burnt themselves on an electric heater they had plugged in and turned on while we were waking up in the morning. So the hotel great but the room layout could be better and wouldn’t have plug in heaters that can be that hot just in the room

The room had comfortable beds and was supplied with plenty of towels. There's a pub in the same building with a Hungry Horse for those who want cheap food. Good secure parking at hotel. Adjacent Pub had relatively cheap prices on the drinks.

First night was in a ground floor room near to car park so was woken early by cars warming up. Rest of the stay in 2nd floor was better and peaceful. No anti-slip mats or grab rails in the rooms I stayed in so could be a problem for people care is needed. Breakfast food was undercooked and I stopped eating breakfast at the hotel.
