An easy 3 min taxi journey from Cosham station meant I could get to the hotel and check in smoothly which was needed on my late night arrival. Felt safe and comfortable in the hotel room, and although I didn't take up the opportunity on this occasion, I loved that there was an onsite pool. Breakfast was better than average, with staff consistently running out of the kitchen with refills for both the continental and cooked breakfast.

No instructions on how to operate the blind in the bathroom - I recall another village hotel had a blind just like it but I couldn't remember if it was electric or not, and it was out of reach so I had some of the sun streaming in on the morning, although I personally found that a positive way to wake up.

Very clean ,helpful staff. Food slightly expensive but good quality. Nice open area you relax in.

Open plan reception and car parking procedure unclear , on arrival was not promoted by staff who considered it 'a grey area' by reception staff.Was told in affect 'it was my fault that ' I didn't spot the iPad car registration on booking in. Yet I was not reminded on check in or prompted by the same staff that I must book the car in(or risk a 100 pound fine I presume). Likewise ,the late check that I paid a £15 extra for turned off the ability to add purchases to my room number. Staff helpful but again felt it was my fault and they didn't immediately know why I couldn't charge to my room and had to return to my room for debit card to pay for drinks which defeated the object.

The greeting we got from the staff member that booked us in was lovely. She was also very friendly and helpful. Our room on the top floor was very modern and well equipped with a lovely big TV, Air-con, Dyson fan and lefty of milks to enjoy a few nice cuppas. The bathroom was really clean and modern with a great shower with a funky glass panel that changes from clear to opaque to hide behind at a touch of a button while visiting the toilet. The swimming pool, Sauna and steam room was also the deciding factor in visiting this hotel that also didn’t disappoint. On top of that the on-site restaurant and Starbucks were also used making our overnight stay a really nice one.

Couldn’t really fault the hotel.

Visiting the land of the kings to see family for christmas and decided on here to be my base. Stayed on the top floor. Wasn’t disappointed, comfy bed, great walk in shower, quiet and clean. All the staff are very friendly and cushty. Can’t vouch for the gym/pool as literally used here to get my head down. Great place, perfect base for getting my head down during a busy period

Not a fault of the hotel but the wind was proper howling for a couple of the nights and it sounded like banshees were rattling at my room, not a fault of the hotel of course. I’m obviously a tough geezer so this didn’t scare me…………….!

Staff on check in and out where amazing room so clean and near lift which I asked for and they gave me room for disabled which was great lot of room fan in room was fantastic best hotel iv stayed in better than 4 star golf hotel I stayed in a few wks ago will book again when going to that area we'll done to all the staff including person's that clean the rooms keep the great all round service up Thankyou Mr Ken And Mrs Angie Day 😀 😊

Clean tidy and modern rooms. great bar to have few drinks at. friendly atmosphere and pleasant staff. looking forward to staying here again soon

would of liked a room closer to the lift areas as we are smokers so once we were upstairs in the room but fancy a cigarette it’s quite a detour from our room to the lift area then up and down the lift to the main entrance was 3 or 4 levels which was quite a mission if I’m honest. would be ideal if there was a smoking area or balcony for vapers and smokers to use somewhere closer that the entrance

Hotelis well equipped, rooms are clean, cosy and cleaned properly. with good view to the forest and trees. Green all around. Staff is helpful and supportive. Great gym (I did not use honestly), pool-spa is great.

Actualky not much I can say. for some strange reason hotelnot prividing slippers and bathrobe. Also would be great if more directions will be posted to the pool. justnote: If you come for cosy, non-moving vacation usgreat place. it's quiet far away from portsmouth docks and hystorical.places.

the bed was comfy we had an amazing sleep the room was very clean we didn't had breakfast we had lunch the food was okay. we enjoyed the swimming pool

there not toiletry in room and no phone on the room to call the room service which was a bit annoying the receptionist staff were friendly we just wish they were more talkative give more information about the area and suggestion about the beaches and an event in town since was our first time in the town.

Quick and easy self check-in, but with friendly staff close by to answer any questions. A well appointed room, with a very comfortable bed and lovely modern bathroom. The onsite Pub & Grill has a variety of tasty options for dinner and serves a good selection for breakfast. The staff are always helpful and provide excellent service. My second stay at the Village Hotel and would definitely stay again.

The room is slightly dark, as the only window is in the bathroom. Not a real issue, but if you prefer a lot of natural light not ideal.

Third time here and still a good place to stay, just outside Portsmouth so handy for the ferry if you are travelling further afield. The pool and leisure is an added bonus at this price point.

The location is handy but there's not much else around so you are forced to use the onsite restaurant which is and always has been the weakest part of this place, limited menu, average food and overpriced. Wouldn't stop me staying again but would pay for a taxi to somewhere better to eat.
