It was comfortable with good parking and friendly staff. The beds were comfortable, the showers were always hot and the breakfasts were cooked to order and delicious. The presence of a fridge in the room and the availability of ice were bonuses for us.

The property is clearly being updated. The public spaces look very clean and modern. Our bathroom suite had seen better days although it was perfectly functional. We didn’t have chance to drink in the bar but it looked rather tired.

The building looks a bit like Hogwarts, it's from 1865. Inside the rooms are very clean and each has a fridge and microwave. Ours was a good size.The breakfast is variations on a full English with additional juice, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, cheese etc. The staff are very helpful and friendly. There is a small gym which is free to use. There is an ice machine in the hall! It seems quite relaxed and we were comfortable.

The hotel has very limited hours for serving food so you have to go out, have a takeaway, or bring a microwave meal with you. The walk into the town centre is downhill and I struggled on the way back up. The hotel is in a student area and sometimes you can hear the students :).

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was a good size with plenty of hanging space. Good selection of hot drinks available in the room, and i was impressed by the facilities in the room, Fridgr freezer, micro wave, kettle, plates cutlery etc and a hairdrier. Great selection for breakfast hot and cold. Cooked food was lovely

I know the rooms were in an older converted building, there was quite a lot of noise from people walking around above me. The shower room was adequate in size, i did feel it was looking dated, worn and could do with a deep clean, along with the toilet. The bed did have a topper on it that was smaller than the bed, this wasn't an issue as I was on my own, could be if there was two in the bed.

The kitchen received a delivery at 6am and it was directly outside my bedroom window. The receptionist on being told kindly and generously gave me a discount on the breakfast bill. Thank you. The receptionist also offered to let delivery people know and be quieter when dropping off the crates. Thank you. The bed was amazingly comfortable. Lovely breakfast. Pleasant fellow guests. Staff interaction was polite.

No art and no places of interest in the tourist info stand. The Museum of British rural life is only around the corner.

The hotel is a lovely building with plenty of free parking which is a huge bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms clean, warm and larger than others we have stayed in. We had no issues during our stay but after leaving and travelling 3hrs we realised our daughters coats had been left. The staff were very helpful and I arranged Evri to collect the coats and return them to us. The staff found a box, packed and labelled it and signed for the collection. We are very grateful and will definitely stay here again if we are in that area.

The beds were not entirely comfortable so could do with new mattresses.

The hotel was well signposted so easy to find. There's a large, free car park with spaces at the front and back of the hotel. I was in the coach house and the room was well equipped with an added bonus of a kitchette area with sink, fridge, microwave, plates, cutlery etc. There was a hospitality tray with tea, coffee and milk too. The bathroom had little bottles of shampoo and body wash and the shower was good. The bed was really comfy and it was quiet, even though the window overlooked the car park. You can buy breakfast if it's not part of your room cost and there were lots of options.

Only negative is the security lighting in the car park made the room light as there was only a blind so the room needs curtains to block out the light.

The staff are very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Everything was spotlessly clean. The late checkout is perfect. If you've had a very busy day/night before. Breakfast was great, and there was plenty to choose from, and you're not rushed. The staff keep everywhere clean ready for the next guests to arrive for breakfast. You can get a fantastic meal at a pub, just a short walk up the road; a bonus discount if you show your hotel key.

I have nothing to complain about. The hotel was well worth the price.

Brilliant staff. Helpful and really friendly, nothing was too much trouble. My room was very sweet, it was comfortable and quiet and very clean.

I didn't like the breakfast. I only had the cooked breakfast, the bacon was salty and the sausage was hard and ready. The mushrooms tasted boiled. Just a tip, don't use fruit cocktail for the continental breakfast. Use tinned grapefruit and mandarin oranges, much nicer.

Very good hotel for the budget price. Room for 3person was spacious enough, microvave, fridge, coffee facilities in the room. The fan was also useful as we got a bit of unusual heatwave for this time of year. Also nice and quiet hotel. You really get all you need. Breakfast was great . Across the street there is beautiful church, where you can see a lovely choir singing there at the service
