Great staff who went the extra mile to be helpful with nothing too much trouble. Food was excellent, breakfast lovely and hot. Tea, coffee & hot chocolate in the room was nice. Reasonably priced for food and drink. Parts of the hotel including our room, which was huge and had a sofa, chairs and table sited to make the best of the sea view, has been recently refurbished.

We asked to change rooms as the initial one had a smell of sewage - obviously a problem the hotel had as it is quite an old building but they were trying to address so hopefully won’t be an issue in the future. It was quite noisy and guests in rooms above us were up around 5am that had no consideration for others, but this is not the fault of the hotel.

We were pleasantly surprised by the Park Hotel. We knew that they were carrying out work however we arrived as the workmen were packing up for the weekend. The hotel is undergoing a transformation; we had a room with triple aspect windows looking out to sea. Absolutely gorgeous views and the room was so light and airy. The bed was new and very comfortable, sheets beautifully laundered and the bathroom had been tastefully up-dated. The room and the reception areas are still in need of up-dating but did not detract from our overall experience. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was an excellent wide ranging buffet. The Hotel is on the seafront which has a promenade and is within easy walking distance from the town of Redcar. The private car park is at the back of the hotel and we felt our car was safe. Redcar appears to be at the start of some major transformations and it is good that the Park Hotel seems to be investing in a brighter future. We wish the hotel and town all the best.

The hot water supply needs to keep track with the lovely bathrooms. You have to leave the shower run for quite awhile until you get hot water however when it does come the shower is excellent.

Fantastic breakfast with plenty of choice, staff were lovely and very helpful. We booked to eat in the carvery, which was excellent value for money with plenty of choice for everyone. The staff again were very helpful. Our room was spacious with a brand new bathroom. The bedroom itself was clean and tidy and is obviously waiting for a revamp to match the bathroom, but was very comfortable. The housekeeping lady was very helpful too. It is our 2nd visit and we would definitely return!

The bedroom was in need of a revamp, but we had a brand new bathroom and the rest of the hotel is currently being renovated, so I'm sure it's on the list!!

Hotel is in a fantastic position on the front, large Sea View room with two windows was lovely. Hotel team were really friendly and supportive. Let us leave the car in the hotel checkout day to do a little more of the coastal walk. Breakfast was great and gave us great start to the walking day.

Difficult to find anything, but would make suggestions: Porridge option for breakfast would be great for walkers (though muslie, yogurt and grapefruit was great). We got the bus from hotel to Skinningrove and then walked back and if we had seen bus timetable before at the hotel it would have helped (internet was wrong, did not have Sunday times, so had to wait in cold an extra 30 mins)

The room was a nice size and the bathroom was massive and nicely done to a good standard. The only real negative with the room was the tv could not tune as it had no tv Ariel, so no working tv. I never reported it or made a fuss about it as tv is not a big deal for me but could see it could be a big deal for someone else. Breakfast was plenty and good and hit the spot. Staff was friendly and very helpful and couldn’t fault them.

Apart from the tv not working, for the money paid there is not much to fault.

After a chat with the very nice male receptionist, I explained about my room, he moved me into the main hotel, into a lovely big room. I was so happy. Very clean, comfy bed. Really good.

My first room was on the ground floor in the annexe. It was like a prison cell. I couldn't open the curtains because of its location, people going in and out of the annexe could see straight in. Very noisy and I felt very vulnerable.

Very clean, lovely staff, big rooms, nice TV, free car park, excellent food. Great room service including full English breakfast in bed. Only £2 extra and so worth it! Ok mattresses (firm). Proper wardrobes and drawers and lots of space to store things. Bathroom in room 1 is huge. Heating was appropriate with extra radiator if it got cold. Right on the seafront. Road is quiet at night. Lots of rooms have a sea view. Check out time 11am.

No coat hooks or towel rail. Would recommend taking some command hooks with you. Some bathrooms don’t have showers, just hand held attachments with no wall hook. Some bathrooms have very noisy plumbing and extractor fans, and walls are thin so can hear loud guests and outside fans. I took ear plugs and was fine. Side sleepers may need a mattress topper in some rooms. I used my extra duvet.

We had a large room, recently refurbished; although we weren't expecting it - a kettle with tea, coffee and biscuits provided. Towels, sheets etc were new, crisp and white; staff were helpful and friendly. We were on the 3rd floor and, although there was no lift, we were very happy with the carpetted stairs and were rewarded with an excellent view of the sand and sea (just across the road) We only had breakfast on the second day and that was very good value for money.

can't think of anything!

Clean & comfortable. Evening meals great value for money. Friendly, helpful & efficient staff. Big car park if needed. Only a few minutes’ walk from central Redcar despite being at the eastern end of town.

Not so much a “didn’t like” but an observation: bathroom was a little tired with paper peeling from wall in places & water took a long time to become warm. Room was clean & comfy so fine!
