Central and with Saintsbury for pre-booked parking near by, since the on road parking was all taken at the bank holiday weekend.

The shower had only cold water, and yes...we let it run for a long time. I left a phone message on the contact number we got given 4 days before our arrival and got no call back. I contacted the Victoria through the messaging service of our booking.com side and had no reply. That was a poor performance! I ended up calling the pub on the landline and Rachel was fantastic with help and advice - well done to her!!

This served our purpose; we were en route between a holiday in Scotland and returning home via friends and family. We’ve been tho Saltburn before and there’s a restaurant there we like that we could meet our friends at. We just needed somewhere central to stay. Saltburn seems to be an expensive place to stay and this was at the cheaper end, so we didn’t expect many frills. When I asked for a hairdryer the manager kindly delivered one to me. It was a stormy night and the power went off just after we returned after dinner out, the manager came down to check we were ok. Apparently power cuts are not uncommon during bad weather here! Thankfully the power came back on after about 20 minutes; be aware if the power fails no water goes down the drains as the en-suite has a macerating toilet which requires power to operate and the bath and basin both empty through the toilet outlet. It was a very large room, but warm and the bed was comfortable. When we arrived we’d had a long journey and I was pleased to see the bath. I enjoyed a lovely soak with plenty of hot water and the shower had good water pressure.

It’s difficult to criticise as this was cheap for Saltburn, but not cheap for a room for a night. Don’t expect big fluffy towels, shower gel, shampoo or conditioner.

Disappointing as there was no breakfast. There should have been for the price we paid. The cafés near by was either poor Or very expensive.

Inside the drawers was dusty and the paint in the bathroom was flaking onto the floor. I also asked for a ground floor room. In an email this request was expected but ther wasn't any Ground floor rooms in the hotel.

Excellent location, only a 2.minute walk from the train station and a bus stop. Room was immaculately clean. Very friendly welcome from the staff who checked us in. An ideal stopping point if you are walking the Cleveland Way.

It didn't bother us but it's not a place to stay if you struggle with mobility due to the stairs.

My plane was delayed 3 hours and I missed all my connecting trains and had to take a cab and aorrived at midnight. When I phoned they opened up and guided me to my room. Above the call of duty because they had already gone to bed. Pub downstairs so very convenient fora beer. Bathroom was huge and had a full size modern shower and a whirlpool tub. The room was huge.

No thermostat heat control elsewhere so one night too warm, one night too cold. The wifi was dicey at first.

Nice clean room. Great location. Nice guy behind the bar showed us to the room and was very polite. Decent pub downstairs with some really nice original features, it does food the menu looked pretty good but we didn't eat there as we had booked elsewhere.

Sunday checkout at 10am seems a bit early, especially if you are doing a one nighter and may have had a late night. Housekeeping called at about 10:10 but to be fair the lady was OK and very pleasant and said she would come back later when I said we'd be out in about 10 minutes. Maybe the property could consider a later weekend checkout?

The staff were very accommodating and let us check in early so we could get dressed for a wedding at another venue. The rooms were a little dated but clean and very comfortable. The Victoria was in a great location and about a 4 minute walk to the beach. I would definitely stay here again

I loved how there was great communication. It was very comfortable, loved the bath and the shower, everything was so clean, very spacious. Fan of the WiFi, felt very safe. The towels and the soap, the kettle, sugar, the cups, the bins, great tv and lots of.plug sockets, very clean toilet

It was perfect.

No breakfast on offer or evening meal. There was food during the day which we were unable to take advantage of. The main thing was it was clean and quiet. Parking was on the street but considering there was a big event on during our stay it did not present a problem finding a spot. No parking meters and double yellow lines on the main road

Breakfast and dinner not available

I really loved our stay here. The rooms were really big and very comfortable. The pub downstairs was lovely. I saw people make a comment about the outside staircase to get in when the pub was closed, it was really easy to find and use. Would recommend!
