The staff were fantastic - although they were shortstaffed it was never too much trouble for someone to help. The room was small but adequate and I had everything I needed. Breakfast was superb - lots to choose from and well cooked and stored. There were some nights when we would have liked to eat in the hotel but after the first time we were not impressed so ate elsewhere. The food was good but the menu was limited and there was not a whole lot for me to choose from.

I had a great stay though and no real complaints other than that the bath was incredibly slippery so difficult to stand in to have a shower. I had to use a hand towel as a shower mat so I could remain upright while showering. There must be a cleaning product that stops the bottom of the bath being so slippery.

The staff and breakfast were excellent. The first room was shockingly bad - see below - but good places fix things and an upgrade to premier was offered - no problems.

First room air conditioner was noisy and threw out smells like a sewer!! This was fixed immediately however - see above. The location is in the midddle of a science/business park - this is not the fault of the hotel as I doubt it has moved that much!! Rather, Booking.com has incorrectly stated the location - it is, in fact, about 2-3 miles from L Spa, which is about a £10.00 taxi fare at August 2023.

On arrival we were met by a lovely chap named Alex. Alex was easy to approach with any questions we had.Our room was ready so we were allowed to check in a little early. We sorted our cases out and say in the bar for a drink before heading into the town. A lovely lass spoke to us and we had a lovely chat she gave time to talk and didn't brush us off like we were just customers, keep being you Lynn your so lovely and bubbly. After town we came back ordered drinks and food service was quick and staff made us feel welcome Daniel, Carol and Charlie keep up the good work.

Twin room was comfy. Beds were a little small but comfortable. Breakfast choices were fab and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The water pressure was great too and the air con was needed! I have to say that every member of staff was lovely and couldn't do enough for people. The staff made the stay more enjoyable.

I personally would've preferred a full shower rather than a shower within a bath however this wasn't an issue. I also would've preferred a larger/wider bed as it is rather thin, again this wasn't too much of an issue as it was suitable and comfy.

The shower was good in that it was not over a bath and therefore easier to get in and out of. Breakfast was good as was dinner once you figured out the scan/order/pay business on your mobile phone (if you had one)On the first day of my 5 night stay

On the first day of my five night stay, my bad was not made nor were the biscuits replaced in the room for the whole five days, assuming that the biscuits were due to be replaced.

Breakfast was very good. Room was spacious and generally quite clean, TV screen had not been cleaned for a while - smears and fingerprints all over it, and the colour rendition was poor, in fact at times we thought we were watching a black and white film. The shower was spacious and clean but the shower was not particularly powerful and I do like to get wet in a shower

generally all was OK Not great but not bad, stayed in better stayed in worse. I would stay again

Breakfast was very tasty with a very good selection. Good selection of fruit and bread also. Very satisfying

Evening meal ordering system. Having an older phone I was unable to log in so the staff member gave me his phone. This was ok but maybe a dedicated tablet similar to the vehicle booking in system would be safer with regards to personal details kept on phones and the need for guests to have the latest technology in order to obtain a meal. This was the only minor niggle with our stay but would not put us off staying again

The staff were very courteous and helpful, especially Matt on Reception. The electronic car registration sign-in is easy and there were plenty of spaces. The hotel was bright and clean, the bedroom was also bright and clean with plenty of space.

The breakfast area was too small for the number of people. Lots of people milling about as ever item was self service. If hot drinks and toast was served at the tables, it would alleviate some of the congestion

There was a good selection of food at breakfast. The staff were helpful and the dining area was spacious, bright and clean. The room was clean and the card and biscuits on the bed was a nice touch, a bottle of water could have been added 😊.

The entrance of the hotel needs flower hanging baskets to make it look more welcoming, the entrance doors should have a sign saying push or pull or installing automatic doors would probably be better, the lift floor buttons was difficult to press.

This was significantly better than other budget hotels I have stayed in. The staff were exceptional especially Alex and Jose. Extremely helpful for example with using the food and drink booking system. Food was good quality especially the breakfast where there was lots of choice and all the cooked food was tasty. Good value for money.

Given what it was (a budget hotel) there was nothing that we didn't like. We thought the eating and bar areas might lack a bit of "personality" but they didn't due to a bit of music and Jose.
