We were booked to stay in a double room but was advised ahead of our stay that there was an issue with our room and was offered the apartment at no additional cost. The check in went without a glitch, the flat although a little dated due to being an old building was clean, comfortable and adequate for our stay. We didn't have breakfast as we took advantage of the 11:00am check out but we were advised it was available as a continental breakfast.

Hot water in the shower was hit and miss but not too much of an issue.

Room was clean and had tea/ coffee making facilities, also toiletries & towels were provided. Breakfast was lovely, waitress was very friendly and attentive. Village the hotel is situated in is very nice. Having recently stayed at a hotel advertised as a three star on Booking.com, I was considering only staying in four stars and above, but this three star hotel is far superior to the last one and exceeded my expectations.

A mini fridge would’ve been a bonus if we were staying any longer than two nights but that’s only because I have dairy free milk I need to store once opened. The mattress could’ve been wider to fit the bed frame better.

The staff were exceptional both in hotel and bar very friendly and helpful We ate in the bar on the night and food there was very good We had a pleas t evening and joined in the pub quiz unfortunately we weren't very good but enjoyed it .itvwas very busy but never the less we were served quickly and had a good evening.

The beds were twin but the mattress was too small and the bed had a wood frame so you had to be careful not to catch your legs on the wood when getting out. The en suites had a mastication system which made quite a noise.when used having said this All in all a we had a very pleasant stay would definitely return if in the area.

there is a continental style breakfast left in your room fridge and plenty of it. EV charging nearby.

We would have enjoyed a sit down breakfast at a dining table. Don't expect a cooked breakfast in a dining room, it's not available, however there is a continental style breakfast left in your room fridge and plenty of it. Would have liked a EV charging, however there was free charging at the nearby supermarket.

it was great value for money- the property when we stayed was quiet , airy, huge and comfy. the breakfast was delicious and we loved the space and the bath and the double glazing .

We have nothing to complain about at all. We loved staying here and we will be back next time for sure! For those who are sensitive to noise, the water pump is a little loud (when draining the bath or showering) - but this didn’t bother us at all . loved our stay !

loads of character & charm . lovely rustic vibe. Low beamed quirky bar and very smart restaurant areas were a pleasant surprise. Staff were really friendly and engaged. from book in to breakfast , they couldn’t be more helpful. big plus

room was simple with a cosy functional comfort. en-suite could be improved with better shower flow/pressure - forget the bath imo - a walk in would be preferable in 2022 and the floor won’t need soaked up with the extra towels (which were a really nice quality) decor was a bit early 90s functional beige - a bit disappointing considering the very cool hotel exterior and thoughtful restaurant decor but I’m sure it will be all singing from the same song sheet soon . wouldn’t stop me from stopping over again .

This was a last minute booking for an overnight stop . We were very pleasantly surprised, the price for one night was very reasonable , the room was spotlessly clean and nicely decorated Staff were friendly and helpful . Hotel residents got 10% discount at the restaurant and the food was excellent. Breakfast was also very good with a choice of one hot dish, one cold dish ,tea ,coffee and fruit juice.

There was a lively bar across the road.

I went for Hardwick Live and there was a short cut across the field at the back of hotel to venue. Still a long distance but considerably shorter than walking round. Good pub connected to hotel and good breakfast.

Bit difficult to park, ended up in side street that wasn't too bad and free, so okay after all.

The staff were very friendly, the location was good for my business trip, the room was nice and clean. I had both evening meals and breakfast at the venue and the food was delicious. As an added bonus they also had a nice IPA on tap which you don't often get in some hotels.

The food was fabulous both breakfast and evening meal. Loved the small but cosy bar area. Accommodation well equipped plenty of beverages. All exceptional value. Perfect position for everything.

Room 11 2 single beds so low they were like sleeping on camp beds not good for the older generation with back problems, having said that the mattress was comfortable it was just the getting in and out. Also no opening window..
