I’ve stayed a few times at the Limes Country Lodge. very convenient for buying shows that I need to attend . staff are great and it’s always clean and inviting.

I stayed on one of the hottest day/ eve on record the cold tap water was Luke warm . it would have been lovely if on this occasion a small bottle of water had been popped in the fridge.

Lovely venue for a friend's wedding. Good breakfast, which is very obviously cooked to order, so don't expect it to be quick. Room was clean with good facilities (good shower, good storage, small fridge, iron and ironing board - all very useful!). Friendly and helpful staff. The grounds are beautiful. with a cute bar outside.

Bed was a bit saggy and creaked. It is a lodge type hotel, so you exit the main area to access your room - meaning a fast run when it is raining. There is no accessible outside covered area when it is raining so nowhere to stand when it is hot, without getting wet.

The location was stunning and peaceful. Most staff were welcoming and accommodating. After lots of initial issues, the manager upgraded our rooms without us requesting and we were given lovely double rooms that were much bigger and in a convenient location. Lots of apologies from the male manager and dealt with the issues swiftly. Would stay again if they can make some simple changes and use common sense of not putting someone with a baby in an upstairs room and also buy some good quality cots for parents and also not putting the onus on the guest when their system doesnt produce the correct info for them, I found the female receptionist did this a lot and came across a little condescending.

When we arrived, a request I had put in for a cot was not on their info and the cot they finally found after searching for ages was broken and very dangerous so baby had to sleep in bed with Mummy. I explained this the next day, so it wouldn't be given to anyone else. We were given the keys to our rooms, which were upstairs and without a lift, not the best idea for a mother with pushchair! But when we walked in, the rooms hadn't been cleaned, beds were still unmade from previous guests and considering the location, one room was very pokey for a double. The rooms were also boiling hot as they appeared to be in the roof. I was a little shocked for this type of property to provide the initial service like this.

The Limes is set in a rural location. Conveniently located for Solihull and Birmingham, the M42 is a short drive away. The hotel itself is nicely set out. The staff were friendly and helpful. The grounds are well cared for, I spent half an hour after breakfast watching the fountain, whilst cool jazz was playing through an outside garden speaker. My room was clean, the bathroom likewise. The bed was comfortable. The restaurant / Bistro bar has a nice menu selection. The food was plentiful, nicely cooked, and well presented.

Nit picking... the number of high power, exhaust blowing vehicles that come past between 7am and 10am. The road opposite leads to the motorway, eventually, and is clearly a shortcut. So whilst I enjoyed watching the fountain, it was frequently spoilt by the uncultured exhausts that people in the area seem to favour.

The team were nice and friendly. Room was a good size and clean. Breakfast was great and location was fantastic

It was so cold i think the power had been turned off as there was work going on ,I had to go to my room early as it was so cold around the bar area and in the restaurant. The ribs I had were to fatty for dinner . Went to pay my bill in the morning as I had my dinner and a couple of pints on it to be told that payment had already been taken ! I was taken back by this as normally you would be given a bill and then tap your card ( to be honest it felt under handed ,I felt uncomfortable with this practise )

Beautiful setting that felt nestled in the countryside despite being easy to get to from the motorway. We enjoyed the music throughout the public areas. The staff were really helpful and friendly. It felt great value for money and if we were in the area again we’d stay again.

We wouldn’t have a cold shower but reception would have fixed it if we’d noticed whilst they were still open. We arrived very late and didn’t shower until 11pm. the breakfast was a little oily but nothing horrendous and still very enjoyable.

The location was great. Not knowing the area we were surprised to find it was semi rural and populated with individually styled houses which we did not expect so near to both a motorway and our perception of Birmingham City.

Our only suggestion was that the privacy of the ground floor room we were allocated was slightly compromised by having only full curtains and no other privacy barrier to prevent others looking in when they arrived, left or congregated outside.

beautiful area and well placed for travelling around the local points of interest

Food in the restaurant was mixed - the meat and sauces were really good, but then the accompanying veg was bland - seemed a bit like those “microwave bags of veg”. Good for the price, lunch was very tasty. the rooms were quite clean, but a little rough around the edges - paint peeling in one corner of the room, and our bedsheet had a rip in it. Overall just needs a little touching up in places, but generally very nice and clean.

Friendly & attentive staff in a quiet rural setting - exactly as described. The breakfast cold buffet was as expected & varied. The cooked breakfast was substantial - as was the evening dining in the Admiral's restaurant. Overall a very relaxing stay that I could certainly recommend.

The guest WiFi was a little flaky on occasions & the landing page login could be better streamlined for a better guest experience, but was still acceptable.
