Comfortable with good instructions for arrival

Breakfast was some pastries, juice and yoghurt left in room the night before. Not what I’d expected from a B&B. Nowhere to eat these comfortably. Adequate, but the size and comfort of room did make up for this. Steep narrow stairs could be an issue for some.

The room was a very Good size, the bathroom was very modern and fitted 3 people in the shower (1 not so small adult, tall man and a toddler). The bed was really comfortable and we all slept well. Our room was above the cafe so once it is closed our 3 year old was running in the room (as toddlers do) we caused no disruption for noise downstairs so that was really good. In good location for train station and Cadbury even with me with limited mobility. People who worked there were really friendly and the breakfast in the cafe was brilliant our son loved ice cream on pancake for breakfast and they accommodated for a change in my breakfast very well. (I don't like warm tomatoes so I have mine raw) the coffee is really nice. Decor is very cool. The cafe users were really friendly.

The stairs are quite steep to the rooms so take it really easy. This property will be unsuitable for wheelchair users but the cafe accommodated to a wheelchair user Friday morning breakfast!

It was quiet, comfortable, clean and homely. The old fashioned furniture and tea cups, etc were clearly deliberate to get the period look which we appreciated. Don't expect a modern feel. The beds were comfortable, the shower was good and even though it was only a few degrees outside in February, the room was warm enough as it had two radiators which were giving out enough heat. There are three coded locks to get in for which the codes were sent by text and email in good time. We were happy with this arrangement.

WiFi didn't work as it didn't reach to that bedroom. It worked out in the corridor but that's not very useful. Its 2024, please sort that out The towels, although clean, were very rough. Very steep stairs to get in but we knew that from other reviews so it wasn't a problem but don't visit if you have mobility issues.

Had a lovey feel to it, love the room size and the character. Very well organised with keypads and messages from owner. Felt historic would be good to know a bit more about the building. Loved looking in the garden at the back. Great area. Nice to see businesses under the rooms being used amd next time we will visit the cage downstairs just Had a early drive off today but I think the opening times are great. Maybe could do a add on extra for a snack bag that can be left in room if people are leaving early with fruit or something inside it. Charge the guests if they would like this etc. But it's not at all a negative its just a idea. Enjoyed it.

I think the road is really busy but thank goodness we had a back room but this is nothing the owner can change as it's just busy roads in a beautiful residential area which is a shame but its everywhere not just here.

Good location with easy access by bus to Birmingham and Harborne. Very quiet, nice and warm. Quaint decor. Lovely breakfast at an excellent price in the cafe downstairs. Greatcommunication from the host and friendly and efficient service for breakfast.

The stairs to the accommodation were quite steep - not a problem for us, but some with restricted mobility or big suitcases might struggle. Parking was on the street (which we were aware of in advance). We secured a spot quite close by but chose to leave the car there and travel by bus for the duration of our stay.

Great location for going into the city centre. Big room with large comfy bed and spotless en suite. Easy access with a key code system that is emailed to you before arrival. The host was there when we arrived in the cafe downstairs and was very friendly. We opted for the addition (at extra cost and we were aware of) cooked breakfast and it was very tasty and set us up for the day. Parking is on street , we had no problem finding a space close by. Overall a good base for exploring the city.

Nothing we didn’t like, just take note that the cafe breakfast option isn’t available on a Sunday. But the room is equipped with a fridge, bowls and cutlery!

Good location on a quiet residential street. Room was quite small but sufficient, clean and comfortable. Price didn't include breakfast but we paid for breakfast on one of the 4 days in the café downstairs (linked with the B&B) and it was reasonable, though limited to just one cup of coffee without paying extra. This venue is recommended if expectations are not placed too high.

The stairs up to the room were quite steep and narrow but manageable. Apart from meeting a member of the café staff on the one day we had breakfast, we had no contact with anyone - neither staff nor other guests. Entry to the room was via a gate and 2 doors, all with coded locks. The codes were sent by text message on the day of our arrival. It was all a bit impersonal but at least there was no problem in gaining entry late at night. Breakfast is not available on Sundays and a breakfast basket in the room can be arranged on Mondays when the café is closed. We went elsewhere on both days.

I really enjoyed my stay at Bournville House & Cafe. I was in room 2, probably the smallest room out of the 4, but it was still spacious enough. The bed was very comfy, there was also a little table at which I could work, the bathroom was new and the room was very quiet. It was very warm (there was an additional electronic heating which I didn't even need) and the wifi worked well. Breakfast at the cafe was excellent (it's 8 pounds). The place is around the corner from Cadbury World and a 5-minute walk from the train station, and there are regular trains taking you to the university campus and to the centre.

Everything was fine, although I would have appreciated if the bins had been emptied once or twice during my stay.

Really liked our stay here. Rooms tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. Quiet location. Great shower, nice towels. Generous hospitality tray with tea/ coffee selection & some tasty biscuits. Even included cafetiere and filter coffee which was definitely appreciated! Codes to rooms provided prior to arrival - all straightforward. Would definitely stay again!

Nothing not to like. Small suggestion would be to notify guests of check in arrangements prior to arrival as I had to message day before to find out procedure. Not a big problem as message was responded too quickly.

Comfortable, great facilities, clean and nearby transport links. Amazing price and value. Fridge was a bonus, great for work travel where you might not want to live on takeaway! Staff on site to offer top ups.

Needed a teeny bit more of a clean in places (bed and wash area spotless). Thin walls, in keeping with age of building. A light in the alley would be good as it’s a bit spooky! The breakfast arrangements need revising in the Booming.com listing, as the times and days aren’t up to date.
