On first glances it is a stunning, really lovely room. The presentation was excellent and it was really clean. The toilet & shower have automatic lights, and the room has a selection of soft lighting .or full room lights . The bed was huge and there were loads of pillows, very comfy and slept well. Plugs on both sides of the bed . Very handy. The bath water was lovely and hot and very relaxing. Bathroom seemed to have more head space than the bedroom.. The location was excellent.

I'm not the tallest person in the world, and I cracked my head twice getting out of bed and once making coffee .. It's not like I didn't know they were there , but getting out of the bed you automatically stand up .. not crouch, especially in the night to go to the loo..😳 The bath in front of the shower was very difficult to get the plug up.to drain the water out .( used two spoons in the end) Parking was tight, and on the other side of the pub, access only from the outside not through the pub. it was raining heavily the day I stayed so yes, I got soaked . Ate in the pub, and it was ok ..the fish was frozen supermarket fish .. not freshly battered fish. Although good value. Loads of stairs ..

Was a little noisy when in room up to 11.15pm with music downstairs that was loud and some returning back to rooms late on non carpeted stairs and lower door slamming shut. Also could smell cigarette smoke in room from smokers outside if window was open - this said, this would not stop us staying here again in the future - it’s a very nice place. Just comments only for future residents to consider if wanting to book.

The staff were extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. The check in time was early (2pm) and we didn't have to leave until 11am. We were easily able to park in the hotel car park. The suite was really quirky, being in the eves. The bedroom had a small sofa and a mini fridge, which were a bonus and the bed was really comfortable. We really chose this for the two baths (as we only have a shower at home), and they did not disappoint. There was a large TV in the bathroom as well as the bedroom.

The only issue was that there was only one rail with three coat hangers for your clothes. The room would benefit from a chest of drawers, as I realise that the shape of the room would not allow for a wardrobe.

Was so impressed with the penthouse suite. Bed was huge and really comfortable. Bathroom was lovely with the added bonus of 2 baths and nice walk in shower. There was also a mini fridge in the room which was a surprise but really appreciated. Staff were lovely. We were told on check-in that we get a free round of drinks because we'd booked the penthouse suite which was great. Had a really good deal on booking.com. Would love to come back. Place was amazing and in a good location for what we wanted from our stay. Highly recommend.

The fact that I keep looking to come back but the price isn't as good as when I booked it. Will keep trying.

Near to the wedding venue we were attending at Moels Hall.

Low ceiling & beams in Arthu’s suite were a hazard as both my husband at 6’ 1” & myself at 5’ 1” hit our heads a number of times. Lack of a door or something to divide the bed area Fri the bathroom side meant the bright auto lights (stayed on for a few minutes) disturbed the other person if one needed to visit he bathroom during the night.

The room was stunning and the staff was really friendly the room was really comfortable and the facilities where really good as well it was clean minus a few minor things like stuff in draws inc pins which when I opened it went into my hand, ther had decorated the room with petals and balloons it was super cute the double bath was really romantic as well

The additional windows with no blind or anything meant there was 2 much light so you couldnt lie in The toilet light sensor takes ages to go off wouldnt be an issue if there was a door between the rooms We thought that the room would get a quick once over each day to just empty bin and refresh the tea and coffee but this didnt happen Theres isn't anywhere proper to put your clothes just at the side of the bath The shower isn't very strong at all bath is better

Note that breakfast is not available. Website says a cafe is 50m away; I checked with staff who told me it opens at 7am. This is not the case - I let myself out of the hotel, dropped my door key through letterbox and then discovered cafe doesn't open until 9am. I ended up wandering on the high street in the rain with a croissant from the petrol station for an hour :-(

We were going to a wedding at Meols Hall- you can walk from here. When I say that; It is a bit of a trek up the long drive, so I certainly wouldn't attempt it in heels! The room itself was lovely! Very comfortable bed. No breakfast served.

We were a bit underwhelmed to find out that the bedrooms were above a bar; which wasn't as classy as I'd remembered Churchtown to be. Also the young lady who checked us in kept us waiting for a little while to 'check we'd paid;' despite me giving her a printout of the receipt.

The staff were welcome and friendly we were shown to our room the the manager kieran who helped with our luggage, the room was immaculate such a large bathroom with two full sized baths a super large bed , a fan helped as the weather was very warm but able to open both roof windows. Great location for a wedding a meols hall would defnatelty stay again.

Very convenient for me. Loved having the co-op and takeaways nearby! Bar lady was lovely. The room was perfectly pleasant and more than serviceable for what I needed :)

I'm quite nocturnal so the the live music, noise from downstairs in the evening was louder and more disruptive than I imagined! I'm an anomaly in this situation though, I know that's not anyone's fault!
