The room was newly decorated, ensuite shower has new tiles and an opening window. New mattresses. Bath sheets and good sized hand towels. Large room upstairs, new long drapes at the window plus blinds. Large guest lounge downstairs. Kitchen being refurbished, so no breakfast, but plenty of cafe's less than 2 minutes walk away. Wonderful location - all seaside amenities within walking distance, yet on a quiet road with parking. Hotel manager/owner very helpful and informative about the area. A bedside light wasn't working and he got it fixed by an electrician the same day, so very impressed.

What a little gem of a place. It has parking for 6 cars and just a cockstride away from the main area of Lord St. My sister and I were welcomed by the owner who sat us in the lounge to fill out the guest info form and then helped us with our bags to our 1st floor family room. It was very spacious, which is what we like. Right away, we could see how lovely, bright, and clean it was. Lots of attention to detail from our own towel boxes to the tea/coffee tray with biscuits and 2 bottles of water. The shower room wasn't too big but exceptionally clean with a large mirror and all the amenities. The single and double beds were really very comfortable. The bedlinen was crisp, fresh, and perfectly made up. The TV was a good size, located perfectly for viewing. The owners made a great effort to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Anything we needed was just a text away and answered very promptly. We will certainly be booking to stay here again and would definitely recommend any visitors to Southport stay at Clifton Villa.

There was absolutely nothing we didn't like about Clifton Villa

The person who runs the hotel come day or night, any problems he will be there to discuss it very friendly decent size room and best of all very clean. There will be people that always say you get what you pay for in Southport there are some good hotels there are some bad hotels and there are some average hotels in my opinion I didn't hear any noise there was no banging no shouting overall it was a pleasant stay

There wasn't that many things that I didn't like there was a lounge at the bottom of the stairs when you first walk in I would have thought that they would have been like a little TV there for guests I noticed a few guests that were there were just sat there and I even ask them what is it missing and they said a small little TV so we could watch it we don't go out anywhere at the weekend we just needed somewhere to stay I thought I get that because its nice and comfy down there Even if they get a kitchen sorted out where they do sandwiches or something like that it's like I don't know if they have the room down stairs but breakfast maybe offer sandwiches

The room was lovely. Nice big bay window. Large bathroom. Clean and tidy room. Kettle, tea, coffee etc. were provided. The towels were big and fluffy. The room looked newly decorated making it light and airy. There was a nice lounge on the ground floor that you could relax in. The beds were comfortable with white bedding. The location was excellent making everything easily accessible. There was enough parking for about 8 cars

There could have been a few more coat hangers but I took my own.

Atty .....who is the Host corresponded throughout our journey and was waiting to greet us at the door also very helpful taking our luggage to the rooms! anything we needed at our stay we could always contact by phone. Our rooms were absolutely gorgeous all brand new furnishings comfortable bed we will definitely be coming again!

Another great stay at the Clifton Villa and another great warm and friendly welcome from lovely hostess Aynsley. Everything was perfect as usual, Aynsley keeps the place spotlessly clean. Bedding is always immaculate, crisp white cotton sheets and quilt cover. No breakfast service anymore due to understandable circumstances, but not a problem as this is reflected in the price and there are loads of places nearby to have breakfast due to the hotel's great central location in the centre of Southport. Aynsley is a lovely, down to earth hostess who will always find time to chat and engage with you and give you the warmest of welcomes. If you are looking for a spotlessly clean hotel in the centre of Southport with parking, then Clifton Villa is for you! Thank you Aynsley for another lovely stay and I do hope I will see you again. Nice comfy beds. Great location, close to shops, bars and the Pier. Ansley's correspondence to us was excellent. Plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. Parking is also a big plus

Unfortunately one of the curtains had come down off the runner, which we were told about.which would of been fine but there was a small piece of blind that was broken, so when it came light we were awake. We are normally up early, but not quite sun rise at the height of summer. We have stayed before with no issues and will certainly stay there again.

Mother and Daughter were brilliant, very friendly, and polite. we had a great welcome, which set us up for a good stay. Our room was brilliant, very comfortable, and well laid out. Our shower room and WC was very good,we stopped Friday to Sunday and could have stopped for a week. Would certainly stay again. THANKS for a Great Weekend

The basin in the bathroom was very small every time I turned the tap on it came over the top and down the cupboard and me The pillow needs to have more filling in it A lot of loud people come along that road at night
