The rooms were spacious and very clean. Bed was very comfy and soft comfy towels. The shower had good pressure and hot water, very refreshing as I'd spent many hours on a motor bike and it had been a hot sweaty day. The food was good with a healthy selection, I'd definitely recommend the large 'Green Monkey' a local and very nice larger. Staff were very friendly and accommodating, allowed us to store our bikes out of the eyes of the general public which kept them safe over night.

No hair dryer, breakfast at the weekend was only from 9 - 10 and we had to leave at 07:30 due to a bike rally we were attending. The pub is in the middle of no-where, so if you are looking for a little night life it's a taxi ride away.

There was a lovely vibe to this old inn, the decor and atmosphere and it was quite busy the evening I stayed with people eating and drinking but wasn't noisy or brash. The staff were, every single one of them, kind, helpful and couldn't do enough to ensure you had a great experience. I only down graded comfort from excellent to good as I had to work there and the chair would not fit under either desk so it made using my laptop very uncomfortable but the other facilities in the room including complimentary robes, fresh milk for tea and coffee and lovely comfortable bed compensated for this. I had to ask for a hairdryer as there wasn't one in the room but this was a minor inconvenience soon resolved. Would recommend and would definitely stay again if in the area.

The welcome was amazing - the guys behind the bar were great. We felt very taken care of - it's not often that you get a drinks at-table service in the UK. There was a good choice for breakfast and the full English was well presented and not greasy. The hotel public areas were comfortable and kept warm by wood-burning fires and there were lots of interesting things on the walls to read and look at. Great selection of hand-pulled ales too.

The room was lovely to look at and comfortable but I think more could be done to support storage of customer items (and towels) - like having more shelving in the bathroom. The room was a little cold in the afternoon/evening but it was a great extra touch to an additional plug-in radiator to warm it up.

Loved the staff. Really friendly and welcoming. Loved the large bedroom and the location. Food was tasty and a good variety of drinks available. Good parking facilities. Brekky was nice too

The room felt a little cold but maybe down to the size. Would have been nice if there was a hairdryer and iron/ ironing board. These are not criticisms, just observations and maybe room for improvement. These little things did not effect our stay whatsoever and will definitely stay again

Easy to find, great looking property. We had a friendly and very welcoming welcome, and shown to our room, which was a deluxe room, very large and with en-suite. We had a drink of local beer, which was really good and a friendly barman. Bedroom was warm and cosy and a lovely bed, we both slept well until someone’s alarm off continuously for 20 minutes!

Shower would have been good to be bigger and toilet handle was loose causing toilet to run with water unless returned to correct position. But being picky.

The hospitality at The Swan is second to non, friendly, helpful staff, Rich and Alex went out of their way to make us feel at home and the breakfast was our of this world. I would happily recommend The Swan to my friends and family and even stay their myself once again.

The only thing we didn't like was that the room was a little cold, the heating came in for a few minutes in the morning but it wasn't enough to heat the room.

Room was lovely, everything you needed was provided. The bed was so comfortable we both had a great nights sleep. We dined in the restaurant in the evening and the food was hot and tasty, the waitress was friendly but polite. We had a few drinks at the bar afterwards, Alex was very welcoming and chatty. Had a lovely chat with some of the locals, we felt very welcome. Thank you. Breakfast was hot and tasty again, poached eggs cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back. Thank you Alex and team, keep doing what your doing.

Huge bedroom, nicely decorated. In general it's a lovely old building. Frienldy staff. It's a nice pub with rooms, so served good beer, and reasonably priced food. Even though a pub, it wasn't noisy even when it was busy. Good breakfast.

Room was a bit cold - I think the radiators needed bleeding. Shower was tiny and difficult to use. Hand held part of the shower did not stay in place and it kept falling on to the floor.

Exceptionally welcoming hotel. Amiable and engaging manager. An old hotel but tastefully modernised. My room was spacious with a comfortable bed and efficient heating and shower. My room had a great view of the Eccleshall road and was satisfactorily sound proofed against traffic noise.

From my own point of view - and presumably most other customers like it - I find most heavy bass pop music abhorrent. However, it could only just be heard in the bedroom.

It was a lovely room and the staff were really friendly. As a coeliac, I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of gluten-free products on their dinner menu. We were visiting my daughter and her partner who live in Gnosall so we were perfectly placed.

The only thing was the shelf above the sink, the sink was very small so when you tey and wash your face you constantly babg your head on the shelf..
