Best Western Ship Hotel

It was very conveniently situated for the town centre without being noisy. It was a great bonus to have free car parking much of it in the shade and with widish bays. The courtyard was a nice place to have a drink. The hotel had a pleasant, calm ambience and the staff were very helpful.

Unfortunately, we stayed in exceptionally hot weather and our second floor room was uncomfortably hot. We were provided with a large, noisy fan but would have loved air conditioning! Why do British hotels always have thick duvets in Summer? A sheet and thin blanket or even just a sheet would be lovely.

We recently had a one night stay here. On the whole the hotel was very nice, we paid a bit extra and upgraded to a superior room which was lovely, the bed was huge and soooo comfortable. Downsides were the bathroom, which although clean, was needing repair in some areas. We dined in at the hotel, which was disappointing. The waitress who took our order completely forgot our starters, the mains were brought out after an exceedingly long wait, maybe they thought we were eating our non existent starters?, and was extremely mediocre, especially for the price. That all being said we would probably return if we ever have a reason to stay in that area.

Hotel was very central for Weybridge shops and also Walton on Thames Hotel reception very friendly and helpful The Rooms very clean and comfortable We did not eat or drink at the hotel as stayed here for a 2 night festival, so only used it as a base to sleep this time But the bar restaurant and courtyard looked very nice , onsite parking which is a bonus too But would definitely return again and like to spend more time exploring the area.

There was nothing really that we did not like

Reception was ok, but when we got to our room and unpacked it was not as clean as I would ecpect, the lighting was dull and in fact one light did not work so I rang and was put through to a Manager. I was so impressed! Not only did the lady give us another room but she helped me move all our things. She was so polite and aplogised and had a look at the room we originally had and said she would mark it as out of order until everything was sorted. The room we ended up in was so lovely and clean and smelt so much better than the one were in before. The staff at breakfast were fantastic and the lady at reception helped us to our car as we had a number of things to carry and she was lovely. Everyone who attended the party had a great time and loved the venue and staff (particularly the Server, Manager, organiser and team so I thank them for helping us make a memorable 60th!

We had an issue when booking as we were overcharged compared to the rate that we were quoted when booking on the website. The amount was though refunded promptly once the error was pointed out. The room was a good size and clean, and it was quiet so we slept well. There’s plenty of parking to the rear so that was nice and easy and the location is perfect for easy access to the High Street. We didn’t try the breakfast so can’t comment on that.

We had a problem with the bathroom sink draining very slowly. It was pointed out to the maintenance person but it wasn’t fixed while we were there. It wasn’t a massive issue, if it had been we’d have chased it.

The breakfast was very nice with a wide range of choice. I would have liked to see a fridge in the room, because sometimes you may just want to keep food that you purchase in a fridge, but this does t take away the overall experience and i would most definitely come back again someday..the staff we're very helpful, couteous and pleasant.

I liked everything about the hotel, but when there was a fire alarm on 9.8.2023, it was not clear where guests needed to gather together.

This lovely Hotel is centred in Weybridge about 20 minutes walk from the Railway Station. I found the staff very helpful when booking in, checking out, and at breakfast. My room and breakfast area were clean and tidy. I loved the well cooked food which got me off to a great start. I found the bed very comfortable and unusually for me I fell asleep straightaway and was woken by my alarm. As I travel to this area I will stay there in the future.

the location was perfect, our room was a fair size and the twin beds were very comfortable; and the room kept fairly cool ( though the weather was very hot) because there was a table fan and a window opened for cool fresh air overnight; And, the bathroom and shower area were good and clean; my only complaint was the carpets looked as though they needed a good cleaning and reception staff were polite and did their job , but I felt it was only a job for them and they didnt really go beyond that. But, I would stay again because I realy enjoyed the location , the outside garden seating area and our room and bed were very comfortable.

Perfect location for the wedding we attended & for amenities - restaurants/pubs. Good value for what we paid. Pleasant Courtyard and bar area. Rooms OK size and comfy beds. Mainly pleasant & helpful staff. Kindly looked after luggage on checkout day beyond checkout time. Good WiFi and plenty of plug/USB charging pts.

Poorly vacuumed room. Very little shampoo, shower gel for 2, tho cd prob have asked 4 more. No view to speak of. An utter warren of staircases and corridors that we never got to grips with but became a laugh & didnt spoil our stay. Some v outdated bedside lamps and somewhat rickety, MDF furniture.

Convenience of car park to back entrance and elevator. Room breakfast and location all good as it was my first visit to Weybridge location was fine for me ie close to shops and convenient to get to Oakland’s for a wedding.

There was some confusion about whether breakfast was included in the price. My first booking was through Bookin.Com for 23-24 for wedding on 23rd th but I later became aware I actually had to give the bride away so could not risk travelling the same day and booked another 22nd directly with the hotel and told on the phone and on arrival that breakfast was included in the price. I did not pay for breakfast on 23rd and assumed same applied on 24th but was informed otherwise and paid.
