Nice hotel, great location, food was excellent and friendly staff. Asked for more milk and hairdryer and sorted straight away. Nice big bed clean towels and bed linens. Instant hot water from the taps. Can't be helped but the seagulls and crows are awake far too earlier than you want to be awake yourself. Bar area was friendly.

The sash window didn't quite close leaving an inch gap at the top so bit drafty. Small cobwebs on the light fitting and some dusty parts. Bathroom curtains were dusty and faded when closed. The shower took ages to get hot, but probably old plumbing in possibly a listed building.

Great little find and just a short walk from Robin Hoods Bay. Family of 4, stayed in number 4. Main area had a comfortable double bed, bedside tables with lamps, a dressing table and stool and a large TV. Ours daughters slept on the sofa bed, which felt it was in a different room, but without doors, again a big separate TV for them to watch. Large bathroom with corner bath and a good shower. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choice, full breakfast, butties, eggs on toast, cereals and yogurts etc. We also had dinner at the pub the first night, plenty of choice, including a children’s menu and huge portions, great value for money. Lovely beer garden to relax in of an evening and the staff were amazing. Plenty of on-site parking at no extra charge and no noise from the pub after about 9pm.

There was no place to hang clothes. We were only there 2 nights so managed. Towels were not the best, well worn and a bit on the small side. We were late checking out by around 18 minutes, some of which was because there was nobody in the bar to check us out, so we went and packed the car up instead. We got charged £10 late check out fee. Annoyed me a little, especially given the amount of money we spent on food and drinks over the two days.

The room was lovely and large and overlooked the garden. Nice an clean with two twin beds which we requested. It was great that the towels & flannel were dark coloured rather than usual white. So you weren't worried you might leave make up residue on the towel or even hair dye. I wish more hotels did this. The plug sockets by the bed also had USB connectors. Although it was a pub it wasn't noisy and we were not disturbed by anyone. The staff were great, especially when we arrived and the young man was attentive and friendly. The food was great, lovely breakfast to start your day and we had evening meal both nights after an exhausting day walking around various locations. The portions were huge and the desserts were also lovely.

The only thing that was odd was there was no door from the shower into the bathroom. So if you are not a couple, you have to get out of the shower (after grabbing a towel before exiting) stand in the hallway to go into the bathroom that did then have a door. There needs to be some form of screen across the doorway that leads to the shower and bathroom. There was also only one bin in the room. So we had to move it from the tea/coffee area into the bathroom which is where it was needed more.

The room was spacious and modern. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and had a good shower over the bathtub. The food was very tasty. Good car park. The staff were helpful and polite.

The room was on the second floor, (3rd level) no lifts in buildings like this. We stayed during an exceptionally hot period and the room was hot in the evening. This could have been reduced by having better curtains which if kept closed during the day would have kept the temperature down and also aided in darkening the room for sleep. The pub part of the premises was a bit tired and slightly shabby. It must be a difficult business mix trying to run two operations in one building, three if you count 'restaurant'.. The food was very tasty and served in good time.

The room was clean and comfy, and the food was really really good with plenty of choices on the menu. Large portions though, so I had items from the childrens menu - the mini parmo was gorgeous and plenty enough for me! All the staff were very friendly and helpful - clearly a pub that is very popular with the local community as well as being welcoming to travelling visitors like us.

Not many tv channels available on the Freeview TV in the room, but i'm used to living in SW London with plenty more options :-)

Great location for Robin Hood's bay. The food in the restaurant was good and the breakfast was great! Very good view from our room on the 2nd floor! Great bathroom and quiet place (despite being over a pub).

The bed was too firm for our liking and we requested twin beds (request confirmed by email from Booking...) but got a double (would expect king size these days). It wasn't possible to split the beds and there were no other rooms available (only 4 rooms).

Really good food, well cooked and plentiful. The breakfasts are SUPERB ! The staff are all friendly and went out of their way to help (I am slightly disabled) Our room was a good size and the king size bed was very comfortabe.

The property needs a little more care in terms of tidying the garden etc. This is just personal, but we don't enjoy "triple cooked chips" and would rather have "normal" chips So in the end we tended to choose dishes without chips.

Everything, the welcome was great, the room was spotlessly clean. The included breakfast was delicious and the evening meals are huge, well worth the money. I had made a special request as a treat for our Wedding Anniversary and they laid out flowers, wine and candles with Martin even lighting the candles for us. Brilliant. Its a 10 minute walk to Robin Hoods Bay so perfectly situated. This was our second stay here and are already booked in for our 3rd.

Nothing, i liked everything.

We had deluxe room which had a separate seating area with a TV. So not to disturb one of wanting a rest on the bed. Food excellent wonderland breakfast with a lot of choice. Evening meals also excellent. Bus stop right outside with good service to Whitby and Scarborough, so able to park up on arrival and not use the car again till we left.

Only fault we could find was could have done with a couple of glasses in the bathroom

The room was newly refurbished to a very good standard. The food was far above what we were expecting, this was not your normal pub grub standard. The waiting time for meals was very low indeed even when the dining area was very busy. The staff are very friendly and attentive with nothing being too much trouble. Fantastic location for visiting Robin Hood Bay. lovely large garden for the kids to play in.

A warning that the accommodation is on the upper floors with restricted headroom in some. The stairs are narrow and steep. Not really suited to anyone with mobility problems. Our room, number 3 suffered from cooking smells.
