Bedroom blinds let to much light in of a night, and not.a Change of towels, otherwise great

Beautiful spacious apartment, 2nd bathroom was a very nice surprise. Shame we only stayed 1 night and barely used the space! Great clear access instructions and the suggested car park is really handy. Heating and cooling system was easy to use which is not often the case! Great location (we stayed for the races). Pretty faultless, when I booked I was a little sceptical as the photos looked lush and it was great value (for a race day) but it really is as nice as it looks.

Personal preference - the pillows were very soft, as was the mattress - would have liked additional pillows available to try and make pillows higher/more comfortable. However our friends loved the bed and pillows!

everything was top quality, clearly no expense has been spared in fitting the apartment out. showers amazing, towels big and fluffy. comfortable beds, feather pillows, kitchen well equipped, plenty of space. we even discovered a fourth bathroom on our second day that we’d missed the night before! amazing place, would have no hesitation in staying here again

no complaints, maybe only a couple of suggestions for tiny tweaks to improve the guest experience: a mirror in the bedroom for using the hairdryer (which was lovely and powerful, by the way!) a couple of glasses for water in the bathrooms (it’s a long way down from the attic to the kitchen in the middle of the night when you wake up and need a drink of water!) tv reception was pretty poor (only tried the main tv in living room, signal breaking up so badly it was barely watchable)

Stayed in apartment 8 in micklegate which had a clear window as part Off the front door so I felt there was no privacy. Other apartments had composite doors with no windows. TV wasn’t a smart TV. When I originally called to ask about the difference I was told the other apartments had bluetooth. If the smart tv was mentioned I woulbe booked the other one instead. Internet connection kept cutting off The toiletries in the bathroom like loo roll, hand wash alive done with topping up

Spacious, clean and very well appointed apartment with all of the facilities we needed during an extended holiday. Great location and walking distance to main attractions. Secure environment and spotlessly clean. Lights outside ground floor apartments at night shone slightly through the blinds and additional drapes could benefit. If we were to come back to York, we would definitely re-book the apartments.

Refer comment regarding outside lights at night. Balancing the ambience of the outside areas, security and lighting with some additional drapes might help where the light shines slightly through the sides of the blinds.

It’s a beautiful property done to a very high standard. Directions are given and are easy to follow. My daughter was extremely excited that we had a bath (student accommodation only has a shower). The bed was so soft I had doubts (like a firm bed) it was like sleeping on a cloud - best night sleep in quite some time.

My only issue was the blind was broken in the bedroom and the light from the courtyard came through in the evenings and was quite bright in the morning. A few tips would be more pans and a wok, and a throw in the front room for cooler mornings (save on heating bill). These are not negatives as we would quite happily stay longer if these were in place.

Living area was in the kitchen and was very small. It wasn’t as relaxing as other apartments we’ve stayed in, it did feel like we was just sat in the kitchen. It meant we had to relax in the bedroom and watch TV but we opted for an apartment over a hotel for this reason, we didn’t want to be stuck in the bedroom as it was a two night stay so knew we would spend time back in the room relaxing and not be out all day/night. Was still a lovely stay and apartment none of the less the rest of the rooms are very spacious. Would still stay here again.

I booked four separate apartments- each one was identically immaculate. Each room had a different type of guest - elderly couple, young couple, parents and room with a child. All agreed that it was gorgeous. It certainly wasn’t home from home - it was better! Ideal location for York center or the races. Communication with the staff was second to none- every request was dealt with efficiently and professionally. No question was deemed as irrelevant - even though I did feel like I was bombarding the staff! I did have to ring out of hours for a question about a room key code and I was helped immediately. We asked for early check in on two rooms so we could get dressed quickly and get to the races before 2pm. You do have to pay for this but you would expect that as they had to turn around two apartments in less than two hours….(check out is 11am) I think there are at least 20 apartments in the complex so again well done staff! Getting this type of thing right is essential when dealing with the public. I would certainly recommend unreservedly. Refund of deposits has already been authorised less than four hours after we left the property. The discount for the NCP car park was a nice unexpected touch!

The key cards and the access arrangements. Gate codes and lock box codes and the multiple times you need to tap your card was quite taxing - but I was navigating four rooms for my party so it was inevitable. I can see if I’d just been using one room that wouldn’t have been a problem. If you have a short memory you must write down your codes/photo them or you’ll be trapped - either in or out!

Despite being an old picturesque building it was very modern. The room itself was spotless, the decor was up to date and very homey. The bathrooms were so clean they look brand new. Despite not using the facilities they would be ideal if you planned to stay here for extended periods of time with a dish washer, washing machine and oven to name a few. TVs In both bedrooms and the living room. Could not knock anything. We were given a code for the front gate and a code to allow us to collect our room key we did not speak to any staff during our stay, this is not a negative it was a very hassle free scenario. There was an office in the Court yard or a phone in the room should we have needed assistance. Although the location is central to york there isn’t any city noise. Might I add the bed in the room has ruined all other beds for me it was extremely comfortable and the climate control in every room, yes every room, made the hot day and cold morning very bearable.

I wouldn’t say a dislike but the way our room was positioned we were directly above a gate used by the staff I believe which I could hear opening and shutting as they were metal it might be worth looking at a soft closer or some padding that stops the gates banging so much. I’m also not sure if this is possible but the front door did auto lock when you shut it but a manual lock on the inside would have added peace of mind. You had two coded gates to get to the courtyard in which your room was situated so it is very secure but I couldn’t help but think it every time I heard a door below I thought it was our door opening.

The decor and its very comfortable - locations is brilliant.

I’ve stayed in the Harrogate apartments so know is a good space. This was a city break away from home, I expected it to be cleaned or at least the cleaning fairy (that you get in a Travelodge) every day or at least the bins be emptied. This is not a serviced apartment which was the one drawback. It’s not cheap so my expectations were that somebody would come in - the name stats Aparthotel - shame really. Plus the complimentary tea coffee and milk runs out very quickly - so take your own. The apartment is lovely. I did contact them as we left and was informed that only longer stay bookings get a clean once a week. It’s certainly clean on arrival.
