Everything about our stay at The Inn at Thunder Mountain was exceptional. From the pre arrival communication and incredibly warm welcome from Inn Keeper Zak, through the phenomenal breakfasts that were freshly cooked each day to the quality of the accommodation itself. The Inn at Thunder Mountain offered the luxury we were looking for to round off our Roadtrip. The Moonlight Shaddow suite was beautifully equipped and offered everything we needed. I had completely forgotten about the promise of fresh bread on arrival and the aroma as we opened the door to the suite was amazing. The fresh baked cookies available throughout the day were delicious and the availability of water, soft drinks, coffee and tea whenever you need it was refreshing. The Inn is a little bit out of town but, for us, that was ideal as it offered a quiet and relaxing place to watch the sun go down after a day of hiking. We cannot recommend this place enough and will absolutely stay here again if we visit Sedona in the future.

Absolutely nothing

Rather than dine in our room, we opted for the short walk to the nearby sister B&B lodge. Both breakfasts were fantastic ! We also got warm attention from the chef one day and management both days as we enjoyed our meal. Super gracious, friendly, ,and eager to make us welcome. Our lower level Santa Fe room was clean, well decorated, though the bathroom was a little too open for our privacy tastes. As well the jacuzzi tub was just inside the front window, catacorner to the bed, and open to the room. Warm bread in the mini-baker was a nice touch too, as were the snack bowl and drinks in the fridge. We enjoyed the evening sunset, listening to the nearby water feature and viewing the inner garden over a bottle of wine the first night. Management changed our outdoor table, chairs to a less comfortable version before our repeat experience the second night, for reasons unknown to us. From this sitting point, we could not enjoy a mountain view due to high vegetation, but I think the two higher level rooms we saw would have spectacular mountain views. Eric, our host, was very friendly and hospitable. He gave us some restaurant suggestions too.

Hard to change the physical layout of open tub and bathroom (curtain, or bar door), and these features may be highly valued in the young and beautiful bodied folks. Wish we could have had a mountain view but some trees in adjacent courtyard garden blocked our view. would have been nice to have had a desk-like feature too. To get a writing area you had to clear off the one table, which was covered with meal place settings. Course, you may not need or want a work area.

My partner and I had a wonderful 3 nights day at the inn. Truly the perfect weekend get away! The room was inviting, relaxing, and the scent of the fresh bread can't be beat. The small size of the property makes for an intimate and quiet stay and the staff was wonderful and accommodating. The chef was very accommodating and made sure we got what we needed! On top of it all, the location is very central to a lot of great hikes and restaurants, making it easy to get around. We can't wait for our next visit!

The AC/heater was difficult to figure out. Additional instructions might be useful.

Extremely comfortable facilities! Good shower and very good bed! A clean and very pleasant, tasteful decor. We were greeted with warm bread made especially for us! We were very well settled. Really very comfortable!

There's nothing I didn't like! I have just a few suggestions... like for example breakfast, there could be a couple of options, we had no choice, we didn't even know what would be served! I would like to have a more equipped kitchen, we bought soup and we had nowhere to eat, no plate, bowl or spoons. I needed extra coffee and sugar and they didn't have it, the reception is closed at night! But, these are details.... the accommodation is excellent!

I booked the Inn as a surprise for my boyfriend and I and from the moment I booked it I knew I made the right decision. They immediately reached out to see if we needed any accommodations. We spent the day in Slide Rock so checked in after 5, I called the front desk to let them know and the girl at the front desk was sooo sweet! She texted me instructions on how to check in and even called back to ensure I recieved the text. When we checked in they had a little envelope with my name on it with directions on how to get to our room. We stayed in the Santa Fe room, and it was absolutely beautiful! We walked in to the smell of fresh baked bread with a huge freshly cooked loaf waiting for us. The room had a beautiful fireplace next to a jacuzzi tub for 2, with jets and everything. They even provided bath salts. I sometimes forget my makeup remover and they had some in the restroom with a towel specifically for that. I was shocked lol. They even provided complimentary drinks, and a binder filled with great restaurants in the area including hikes and much more! Honestly, my boyfriend and I travel A LOT, The Inn at Thunder Mountain left every place we've stayed at in the dust. The staff is so caring and you could tell they thought of every detail to ensure their guest are taken care of. On the morning of checkout we were blessed to meet the mind behind our great experience, Robert, who was such a delight! He cooked us the most amazing breakfast of Oatmeal banana waffles with fresh fruits, delicious cranberry juice it was all delicious! I'm not one to usually write reviews but I have to recommend it to anyone considering staying here. He now has regulars from our end and I can't imagine staying anywhere else when visiting Sedona. You're in amazing hands, minutes away from great restaurants, gas stations, you name it. The location was perfect as well. All I can say is give this place a shot, especially for couples.

We loved everything!

my husband and I absolutely love this place. It’s the only place we love to go when we’re not traveling with the kids to Sedona. We love how comfortable the room is, we tend to get the same room because of the fact that it’s just so comfortable and so nice. The inn keeper and all the staff are absolutely wonderful and go above and beyond to make your stay great! I would definitely suggest and recommend staying at this inn!

I love how beautiful it is, I love how comfortable the rooms are and I like that there’s a private hot tub on the balcony.

Wonderful stay. From the welcoming staff to the warm freshly baked bread waiting for us in our cozy and clean room, it was the perfect night getaway. We couldn’t make breakfast due to an early start to our day, so a little to-go bag of breakfast snacks was prepared for us the night before. These little touches did not go un-noticed and we will definitely be back.

Nothing, everything was superb.

Charming small boutique hotel outside of the commercialized downtown. We had a room on the patio and sat outside each evening with a glass of wine listening to the water feature and enjoying the flowers. Eric, the property manager, was very helpful with suggestions and really wanted us to be satisfied. Fresh cookies in the lobby, fresh bread in the bread maker in our room each day, marmalade and butter etc provided for the bread. Breakfasts were excellent. Fun to walk around the corner to the local dive bar. Highly recommend.

A little awkward to find. Booked under Suites at Sedona but outside sign says something different...I think it was the Inn at Thunder Mountain but can't remember for sure but definitely not Suites at Sedona. Address is the same of course.

When Booking dot com booked our room, they didn;t book the correct room, A call to Suites at Sedona gpt me Anahi and she corrected it without any additional charge. Eric was fanastic also and Robert was an exceptional Chef and we had a very good breakfast every day, not your normal Continental Breakfast, but a freshly cooked gourmet meal. When I needed to add a day the room we had was booked , but they gave me an equal room for the final day and even moved our luggage for us while we were taking the Train Ride through Verde Canyon. There was fresh baked bread in our room daily. My wife is height handicapped so she was unable to get in the Hot tub, so I asked Eric if they ahd a step stool amd LIsa his friend said she had one and she got it for us. Everyone went overboard to make our stay enjoyable and memorable, I can't say enough about Eric, Anahi, and Robert. I could go on for a very long time, but this is enougn.

Steps up to get in the hot tub would be nice.

The breakfast was superlative. More than we could eat and we didn’t need lunch. Healthy and tasty fare, either in the lobby or in our room. They also provided a fantastic packed breakfast for the day we had an early start. The view wasn’t so great, but we had plenty of privacy.

Nothing! We loved this inn and would go there again next time we’re in the area.
