Avila La Fonda Hotel

The staff were outstanding...very warm, welcoming, personable, and helpful. They made it easy to extend my stay for an extra day. Location is just two blocks away from a beautiful, secluded beach. Lots of places to eat and drink nearby....And the hotel stay includes four light meals served throughout the day! It was fun to meet and chat with the other guests in the lobby and dining area. On my second day, I discovered that the room included a fridge, microwave, dishes and silverware, so one could also heat/eat store-bought food if desired. Avila Beach is a lovely seaside town with a quiet relaxing atmosphere, beautiful architecture, and flowers growing everywhere. The hotel itself is beautifully decorated with Mexican-style murals, sculpture, and wall hangings in the public areas and guest rooms. A real delight. I will be back next year!

There was very little to dislike. The room was generally clean but a couple of things were overlooked during my stay. The weather was quite warm a couple days, and my room and the hallways got a little stuffy. Opening the window and using the fan after sundown really helped.

Avila La Fonda is a true gem on the West Coast. From the moment we arrived to the moment we reluctantly checked out, we were enveloped in a haven of comfort and warm hospitality. The accommodations at Avila La Fonda were fabulous. Our suite was beautifully decorated and the complimentary wine and delicious homemade pie created an inviting and cozy atmosphere that made it difficult to leave. I wholeheartedly recommend this lovely hotel to anyone seeking a memorable and rejuvenating getaway. We only planned for one overnight stay in our 3 week road trip but in hindsight we'd plan to stay longer next time!

We didn't stay long enough! Our 3 week road trip was planned ahead of time and we didn't know until we got there that we'd love its vibe so much. We reluctantly left to make it our next destination on time.

Courteous staff, easy check in, beautiful room, complimentary croissants, coffee and orange juice for breakfast, nachos for lunch, and salami, cheeses, nuts, wine, beer for happy hour, free parking, beach is walking distance (1 block) overall most pleasant hotel with all the extras we have ever stayed. They also gifted us with a basket filled with water, soda, chips, trailmix, popcorn. The room had a whirlpool tub, fireplace, fridge, all the possible things you need. Loved our stay 100%

Pillows are flat .

This hotel has so many little extras added to their price of the room. They have fresh baked croissants in the morning, nachos and beer at noon, wine and cheese in the afternoon and then you get fresh baked pie and ice cream before heading off to bed! They also give you a welcome basket with a bunch of munchies and drinks! We were celebrating our anniversary and it was perfect! Waking up to the smell of hot croissants every morning was such a nice treat!

The location was super convenient. And the amenities were a nice touch. The parking garage was great. The lobby, pantry and kitchen were all very cool. Had we stayed longer we would have used the ⛱️ beach gear that is available to guests. Check in was easy and they gave us a departing souvenir. Overall a nice stay. The spa tub was wonderful and they provided robes. We would definitely stay here again. Just a fun little stop.

The room was a bit dated ( but very clean). The lighting in the room was very dim. The balcony was nice, but the view was of a public parking lot. The linens for the beds and the mattress were not great quality. That, combined with the air conditioner, poorly placed next to the bed made a sound, quiet and cool night's sleep impossible. Possibly, had we stayed additional nights, we would have gotten used to that.

Full kitchen, lots of room, quality snacks, hot tub in bathroom, 2 rooms for all guests to enjoy gathering as it was the middle of a heavy rain and wind storm. Due to concerns about flooding, there were no restaurants open in the town. The complementary evening appetizers, snack baskets, and homemade pie filled in for that. We did have some breaks in the storm to walk on the boardwalk. Beautiful interior!

The weather!

Loved the spacious room, the lobby where they were constantly offering delicious snacks throughout the day and people would congregate and enjoy the facility. Great ambiance! Loved the front desk worker who was very accommodating with different requests. Loved that they had beach chairs and umbrellas for us to use.

Beautiful hotel with big rooms, comfy beds, and nice staff. The breakfast, afternoon nacho bar, evening wine and cheese, and after dinner pie hour was a huge hit

The particular room we had was beside the housekeeping area and constantly found their stuff and bags of trash outside our door. Would like to see the hallways clear of that stuff

Great location - quick walk to beach and restaurants. Fresh croissants in the morning, snacks, and pie at night. Very comfortable beds and linens. Very nice staff.

Coffee machine did not work. Should add a sheer curtain - could not have windows open because pedestrians could see right in. Dogs barking in room next door.
