For this type of hotel, it met our expectations - clean, comfortable, up-to-date, free parking, decent breakfast, a very good value for Berkeley.

The location is a bit far from central Berkeley, but we had a car and getting around was easy. There are not many really good restaurants within walking distance, but it was fine. The one minor disappointment was at breakfast: we expected more fresh fruit, given that we were in CA, and we had just driven by acres and acres of farms with strawberries selling for cheap!

We LOVE this place and we stay here every year when we come to visit our family here. The room is large and clean but the BEST thing is how great the staff is. They go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need.The breakfast room is bright and well stocked with everything you need for a good meal. And last but not least..there is ample guest parking! I wish I knew the names of the managers and the staff so O could mention them personally...they were ALL great

Parking was free & the lot was safe! The complimentary breakfast was more than just bread! Potatoes, sausage, pancakes & just a great spread. I did see a lady in the kitchen area spreading sausage on a tray that was on top of a trash can so I did avoid that for a min.

Parking lot is a bit small & does get crowded at night so I’d recommend coming back a bit early snd ubering if you’ll be out late

Clean facilities, friendly staff at front desk. Location was very convenient for our needs (UC Berkeley graduation) No charge for parking and our car was easily accessible. We liked that it was a smaller motel (3 floors).

Somewhat pricey, facilities are showing signs of being outdated. Breakfast was good, but pancake machine was out of order for our stay of 2 days.

Overall we had a pleasant experience here. It is nice to find a place that offers a decent breakfast during COVID. The facility felt safe and the staff was accommodating. We traveled with small kids and wanted a 1st floor room to not bother travelers below us with a two year old running around and we were granted that which was nice. The hotel is also near a lot of restaurants and shops which is nice.

The televisions are older and do not accommodate a fire stick which only was bothersome because we traveled with small children so we didn’t have access to things like Disney plus or other apps they liked but it wasn’t a deal breaker. I would like to note that we had three rooms overall and the fire stick did not work with any of the televisions.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was great, across the street is a very good bakery. The breakfast was good and changed a bit each day. The beds were comfortable. The free parking was excellent.

There was no fan in the bathroom. The wifi was not very good. You had no internet connection most of the time.

The room was comfortable and quiet. Staff was helpful. We had a problem with the wi-fi, but a technician spent 20 minutes on the phone with me fixing it. Some sort of problem with the antenna our room was drawing on. He ended up setting up a private network for our room, which worked very well until it didn't--but at that point the main hotel wi-fi had kicked back in for us. Can't beat he location. Breakfast was good. The main thing is that the place is quiet and professionally maintained.

Kirill was great at check-in and even offered us a fresh cookie that happened to be made. The breakfast was really good, and it is hard to beat the location with so many things in walk-in distance

Some parts were a little dated and the elevator was slow, but we slept really well and overall and could always take the stairs

The breakfast is something that keeps me coming back here. Also the ample, free parking with wide spaces that accommodate a large vehicle. Staff was helpful as always. they went above and beyond for a little technical glitch with our internet access. Our focal point for this and prior trips was UC Berkeley an it is a little far from the campus. Too far too walk. We used Gig cars to get onto campus.

Nothing really. This is our first choice when we are booking a trip to the UC Berkeley area.
