Nash Hotel

I appreciated the room accommodations. The room was big enough for me and my belongings to move around in. The sheets were clean, and there was no fragrance used on the bed linen. I was thankful for the ability to bring a meal back to my room to consume. I appreciated the sink in the room to just brush my teeth, or splash water on my face. I had never been to the Bay area. I took in as many local attractions as I could in my limited time there. I appreciated the staff keeping my belongings safe, on the day of checkout, when my train did not leave for another few hours, so I could step out, get something to eat, and stop by one final shop.

I was near a shower room, not a restroom. I noticed the difference when I didn't see a toilet bowl. I had to walk down the hall and around the corner to use the facilities. Nash seems like a well loved establishment that's been around for awhile. As much as it is well-loved, I imagined that management would have gotten around to replacing the carpet, at least in some of the rooms. (Mine had several small holes in a visible area of the carpet..)

Location is the best for the price! Nice staff, clean rooms and facility, quiet!, super easy to get to by Amtrak and BART, close to super restaurants.

It was freezing cold in the Bay Area the weekend I was visiting and the room was like an icebox! I didn't realize the old fashioned radiator system worked and I didn't think to ask how to turn it on. The morning I left it suddenly hissed and 2 of the 7 vanes got hot! They will give you a fan if the weather is hot and you ask for one at the from desk.

Incredible location! The best restaurants in town are literally right out the door, and the grocery store was right down the block. The room was nice, the sheets were clean. The train station was a short 4ish minute walk away. The hotel its self is beautiful, its an old building with meandering staircases and pianos everywhere. I had a really good time during my stay.

The staff needs to be slightly more present. There was never anyone at the front desk and nobody came answered the phone. When I was checking out, I got lucky and found a staff member. However, the staff was very friendly!! I just wish there were available more frequently.

It was right in what i would call the arts district if Berkley, close to music venues, the university, amazing book shops, amazing food. The hotel was really nice, and the bed fixed my sore back from the 17 hours of flying from Australia. Will definitely be back.

Parking structure you referred us to was super expensive and we couldn’t get out until noon

Maby a little dated for some but has a rustic feel that some will love
